Those words are (again pardon the pun) straight from the life of Jesus that was in the form of man. If it wasn't for my relationship with God and Christ, I have absolutely no doubt I'd be dead.

@queersaresogay I can tell you right now that the vast majority of Christians who point the condemning finger at those with same-sex attractions only deem same-gender loving relationships sinful because they've been indoctrinated into believing that interpretation for years. The "clobber" verses are grossly taken out of context and used to marginalize a group of people who often desire something FAR more heartfelt and loving than the acts described in those few verses.

Most of the Greek terms translated "homosexual" have very ambiguous meanings and describe acts of violation and selfish hedonism, NOT heartfelt romance and devotion. I highly recommend the film "Fish Out of Water", which examines why modern-day gay and lesbian monogamous relationships have almost nothing to do with the unloving acts described by Paul in the NT.

In the bible it says you are hot or cold, you cannot be a lukewarm Christian. So many Christians are worried about being politically correct so that we don't hurt feelings. I think it has something to do with a certain degree of my (in)ability to feel connection in relationships in general (since my ability to feel connection was somewhat hurt during my childhood in my family). @queersaresogay I can tell you right now that the vast majority of Christians who point the condemning finger at those with same-sex attractions only deem same-gender loving relationships sinful because they've been indoctrinated into believing that interpretation for years. The "clobber" verses are grossly taken out of context and used to marginalize a group of people who often desire something FAR more heartfelt and loving than the acts described in those few verses.

@LordoftheRingfan1997 It's a STRETCH to say the Bible "clearly" deems loving, monogamous same-sex relationships immoral. Most of the Greek terms translated "homosexual" have very ambiguous meanings and describe acts of violation and selfish hedonism, NOT heartfelt romance and devotion. I highly recommend the film "Fish Out of Water", which examines why modern-day gay and lesbian monogamous relationships have almost nothing to do with the unloving acts described by Paul in the NT.

Look in the Old Testament, specifically Leviticus 18:22, where it says, "Do not lie with a man as one lies with a woman; that is detestable." Yes, there has been some debate over the Greek terms translated as homosexual. But the Old Testament was written in Hebrew, not Greek.
Besides, God created Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve.

In the bible it says you are hot or cold, you cannot be a lukewarm Christian. So many Christians are worried about being politically correct so that we don't hurt feelings. Love the sinner but hate the sin. Regardless of what you were, that's the past and you've been forgiven of that, the slate's clean. GLBT's are walking in sin plain and simple, we as Christians can show them our compassion by witnessing and loving them for who they are, but NEVER are we to condone their actions. Jesus is Love

@SelfAccountable You have a misguided view on homosexuality. What about a gay child, gay teenager, or gay adult living a Christian lifestyle? A Celebate lifestyle! They are still gay, they are still homosexual, and there is no sin in any way attached to them. They are not acting on any lustful desires yet they have a same sex God given orientation? This is true of nearly all gay people and proves the lies being told by the Church about the gay community.

@free2bfierce Sorry to disappoint you, but the Church is not telling lies. The BIBLE says that sodomy and same sex union is wrong. God did not make men to be with men and women to be with women. He created Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve. Simple as that. They can be celibate all they want. The truth is, they're still waiting for someone or a time to come along so that they can eventually live a gay lifestyle. If gay marriage was Godlike then they would have no trouble w/marriage in any state.

@jayjayholler Yes, "laters" is right. The THING about repenting is this: If you keep repeating the sin and keep repenting, there goes everything. The object of repenting is to acknowledge your sin, to "go and sin no more". For you to still be living a gay life pretty much wipes out all of the repenting you may do because you keep returning to the sin. Get it?

In a nutshell, The Bible says to love. By hating on GLBT people, they are definitely not loving. What SelfAccountable said is right. Mandisa is trying to help those people through love. She's not hating. If you don't agree, you can ignore it. But I would encourage you to listen. You can always choose not to agree after listening.

I can not tell you how much I love this song. Being in my 50's, I find it's a time to reflect on all the good there is in life, not to let our day to day struggles get to us. Life is too short, and all of our problems are only temporary.

@RighteousPsycho i know what you are saying. i never get it why there are so many hateful comments on any christian song. almost all of them have it. but i told my wife even tho they make fun of it we know they listened to the songs and just maybe someone will get help through it. most likely those with the hateful have a guilty feeling and think they can maybe cover it up a bit if they try to make a joke about the song or artist.

He was with me when I get a boner for my hot teacher, he made me feel like crap for it. I have impure thoughts about women and he said anyone who lusts after a woman in his heart has already commited adultery. @iamawesome523 My reply would be that yes, it feels to me like that too sometimes. I think it has something to do with a certain degree of my (in)ability to feel connection in relationships in general (since my ability to feel connection was somewhat hurt during my childhood in my family). We all feel in various ways in various moments. You are not alone in feeling like that and there is nothing wrong with you at all.

@sickkid1992 no you don't, there is love, you just don't search for it, and the God even said there would be pain here on earth, but when you get to heaven there will be everlasting joy, a joy you never knew existed. the pain you get here on earth are only tests to enrich your soul, he does love people, he knows whats best for you, when you accept Jesus there will be joy, whoever accepts Jesus will have joy, God even wants you to share that joy, he helps people through the pain

You know what gets old, you see video's like this one where God has obviously placed his anointing upon her, but some idiot has to comment on her looks. I know that I am nothing to look at, but when God looks at me I am perfect, when I sing my praises to him, it may not sound the best, but to God, he is pleased.
