Haha wow. I have, myself in person, witnessed a common Asian Cobra kill a Mongoose with a single strike. These videos only portray small Cobras, failing to mention they grow to be quite massive. In reality, if the Mongoose were facing a fully grown adult Cobra, the turn-out would have been very different. That is why a Mongoose's diet consists of younger snakes.

the truth is that moongoses have natural inmunity to cobras' poison, that's why they can kill'em, but that's for what they've evolved. If a mongose faces a phyton, a boa or a monitor lizard it would loose.

@mmmk1111110000 maybe if were a face to face confrontation but actually that's imposible, the bigests mongooses are like 2 1/2 foot long, adult monitor lizards can be 6 long, and phytons easily are 16, no inteligent mongoose will look for a match with'em and if that hapens they're fast enough to scape, they mostly hunts juvenille snakes (like in all youtube videos) and even evade mature cobras.
