Africa the great, Africa the land where every-thing started! Africa the Mother of civilization. In Ancient times nobody call it Africa, Ethiopia was the original name.
if you ever get the chance to check out the stonework of these places, you will find they are identical to the ruins of puma punka in Peru, right down to the 'keystone' cuts made in the rock for molten metal to be poured. there are many similarities. even though these sites are on different continents! yet no-one tell you that.
no....technically..historically speaking...jesus was a composie of many previous symbols and 'sacred (god) kings...like osiris...his story was ultimately derived from indigenous afrikan religions
Why is it on comments pretaining to Ethiopian antiquity on youtube, there has to be some sort of ethnocentric bashing. The Ethiopians who built these things didn't build them as monuments to black people or Africa, but to God. I think even people who have grown up here like myself tend to forget back homet that he concept of race and black and white do not even exist in people's minds.
Agreed! Look up Carlton S. Coon in the Encyclopedia Britannica collections. He was a discredited scientist (an outcast from the scientific community) who came up with racial categories. Racist governments adopted his ideas to separate people into social classes called "Races."
We don't learn about any of this. When I started learning about Ethiopia, I was amazed at the history and rich culture that it has. Axum and Lalibela are places I definitely want to see in my lifetime...
You can look up Azmari music here on tube or Ethiopian Jazz which exploded in the 70s. That may lead you to other traditional music like this video from Ethiopia/Tigray (Eritrea).
@lionzion22 Thanks Lionzion, I was particulary interested in flute based and the two/three string 'violin' (its not a violin but the closest instrument I can compare it to) a friend of mine gave me a CD with some good tracks. I will search again on youtube to find the sound I'm looking for (just trying to recapture the sounds of my trip to Axum)

Africa. The original. The imitated. They attempt to erase its history. They attempt to deny its accomplishment. It is they who are afraid of thier inferiority to Africa and its antiquity.

There was no copper and bronze age in Africa. They went straight from stone to iron.
