  • Pure Garbage! Hard to watch, Sorry!!!

  • i don't know this guy but everybody or at least almost everybody is born with TWO arms, fists. Does he really think that the attacker won't follow his first straight punch with a second one when he will have realized that his first attack didn't work?

  • @heracles04 I don't know that I care much for the technique, but while nearly everyone is born with two arms and fists, not everyone is a trained fighter. Untrained fighters are much more likely to telegraph and over commit on the punch. And it's not like trained fighters never make mistakes either.

  • @gabrielsburg yes you're right about trained/untrained fighters BUT even if you're not trained you will try to strike again and again even if your enemy avoids one or two punches this technique is very risky and requires too much timing, speed and precision to be done by civilians under stress even thought they practice self-defense or martial arts or fight sports. Of course he will but someone untrained won't see it coming and training this technique might be dangerous for them in this case.

  • @heracles04 Definitely agree with you on the idea that it's too reliant on timing. So many "self-defense" techniques do. It's a big reason why when I teach women's self-defense classes I emphasize techniques that can still work even if they're done sloppily.

  • You have to understand the motion of the technique. When applied with the proper timing, which can only be instinctive, the opponent has no choice but to fail. If you can observe the balance of both actors here, you will see that the technique is applied from a stable platform on an opponent who is attacking and thus compromising his own stability. You will see how the motion only changes direction once it's been led to the extreme, this time it goes round then down. This is tai chi and kung fu.

  • Does Wang have book on these techniques?

  • haha bruce lee was right. see this martial arts has many steps to do what with basic knowledge and lots of practice you can do much more efficiently and quicker! a kung fu artist or mma specialist could take this man out like nothing thanks to there specials.

  • economy in motion. Bruce was right.

  • That takes practice. Don't think you can use that technique at present.

  • Man it looks effective, but you need to show me this moev in realtime, show the fighter throwing REAL speed at you and youll see how effective this counter really is, otherwise this will run you tired in a fight trying to time the punch and then get fainted with a fake punch and then caught with a combination

  • this would never work on chuck norris

  • xD, true, but would anything work on Chuck Norris? Besides, why are you even thinking about taking on Chuck Norris? O_O

"Chuck Norris can kill 2 stones with one bird"

"Chuck Norris sleeps with pillows under his gun"

  • attention with the left fist...

  • Brilliant, I think if you do it quickly you could just use his momentum to the end of the move. In fact with a roundhouse punch, the bent elbow would be easier to bend into the final point.

I do however think the headlock at 1:07 would be made more effective with the forearm rather than the front area of the elbow joint, there is too much breathing space and the radius bone would serve better a knife to cut his blood flow should choose to jerk and break his neck.

  • This is a single video, of course there are many ways to punch. A circular punch makes the reversing to the back easier. The block is modified a little. It hurts when you go fast. I know, this was done to me.

  • Oh yeah?

  • this is a great way indeed, you can use the speed of his punch to turn him around. worked for me a couple of times.

  • magnifico , una tecnica increible pero cierta

  • Nice, well done

  • Great video my friend. post some more! ^_^

  • If you get a hold of your attackers hand, bit like in the video, theres a million of choices to go.

My choice would be Aikijutsu type of techniques, but as Im not that good in Aikido yet, it'd propably me a mix of some old moves and Aikido..

What I love about Aikido, is that with years of practice, you can use lethal bone breaking techniques and nervepoint strikes in every technique, but you can also make the choice of bringing the attacker down with as less injuries as possible ->

  • and that's propably what you want if you get into the most basic fight, like bar brawl or something like that.

Yeah, maybe he would reserve a couple of broken bones just as a lesson, but usually it's best for you to just try to get out of the situation, or use as less force as possible because of the law. Injure him too much and you might be the one accused in court.

Also prevents violence from esculating.. break someones bones, or hurt him bad..he might have some buddies who will want revenge

  • Come on.Ueshiba did kito ryu and kito ryu is filled with chinese techniques from Chen Yuan Yen.He also went to China to learn soft arts like tai chi.His techniques are not new at all, but stolen Chinese Chin-Na techniques.Aikido has no attacks.Try Wing Chun punches against aikido and aikido is useless.Walk up to an aikidoist without striking. When close give rapid follow-up strikes.Aikido cannot defend against it. It needs space.Where are the kicks in aikido?Oops, there are none!

  • Have you EVER practiced aikido yourself? Because what you said, sounds like you've just seen a couple of demonstrations where they don't punch/hit.

Where I trained, the beginners class was pretty much only technique but still atemis (atemi=punch, kick or strike) were used already.

btw my previous Aikido teacher got a kick in his face while being the opponent at one black belt graduation.. ;) Where did that come from if aikidokas don't kick?

In demonst.you always see the softest side of Aikido

  • Maybe your school is a mixed martial art school?Ueshiba taught no kicks. The opponent kicks in Aikido demo's but never the aikidoist.Ueshiba believed that the acupuncture point at the base of the foot must always be in contact with the earth to absorb energy from the earth & in samurai tradition, kick no work against armour.Traditionally, aikidoist don't kick.&,yes I have trained in Aikido.I must know the enemy.

  • Yeah, a slight misunderstanding there, maybe I wasn't clear enough.

We trained strikes to weak points during the execution of technique. Not always, more like to know where the opportunity is to strike best. And we were Also tought the real killing versions of technique. For example in Iriminage (If my memory serves me correct) you can either throw softly(ish), or break the guys neck before he hits the floor.

But yes, you're right. No kicks. Exept to defend against of.

  • If you're fast and skilled to grab the arm like that, just break it man and dont waste time on fancy takedowns.

  • I'm not crazy about stepping towards the other hand, but the principles of the technique are otherwise sound in my book. If I was the master, that might matter.

  • Your opponent attacks you with his right

"YOU COUNTER WITH A LEFT CROSS TO HIS JAW"!!!

  • what about the left hand..he/she kan land a cross jabb in youre face!!

  • Great video my friend. Much respect to ya!

  • some people pull your hari when you do this.. =.=

  • dis is a good ting but if it is a real thret ill break the arm wif my own move i made up

  • its pretty good but chance someones gonna throw a punch that slow is low

  • awsome stuff wang lijun wish u could teach me stuff personaly

  • awesome...tnx...

  • you don't need to worry about the left because your suppose to do it quick enough so that he won't have a chance to do another attack

  • this is halfwitted

  • in the beginning he says the opponent attacks with left but then when they do it he attacks with his right

  • probably a translation error, but yeah, he made a booboo

  • then u can do it vice versa ^^

  • yeah I agree with you . When He faces someone training boxing I dont think he can grab an arm without receiving a punch from the other hand . The attacker in this video just didnt use both hands .

  • What u guys dont understand is that this is done with incorrect timing (to emphasise what is happening). In real life it all happens SIMULTANEOUSLY, NO TIME TO REACT!!!!!

  • What about the other hand? Try doing this technique and you'll get knocked out by the left hook..

(The dude totally ignores the other hand..)

  • kool, if ur phisically capeable of doing that.

  • are you stupid? seriously

  • aaah shut the fuck up would u

  • Ssamonoske. that´s what rookies always think, the good thing is you recognize it when you say "I´m not even that good". Try it with a well trained Kung Fu practitioner "porper fighter" and you´ll see, all Kung Fu/martial arts techniques work, you just have to practice and see which fits best your fighting style.

Techniques never fail, only the person applying them.

  • @elcelatruena well said

  • These fancy counters never work against a proper fighter. I punch way too fast to be caught by this and Im not even that good.

  • Counter is simple. If the punch is caught, drop as fast as possible (either the 'defender' would fall down, or let go). If you don't manage this, keep your arm up around your neck when the "defender" attempts to manipulate it around the way, or grab the attackers arm and do an arm over head twist.

  • not good. he walks himself to a possible right jab from the other arm.

  • Right ribcage open to attacker's left counter. Dangerous technique.

  • It could work, but you need much practice (speed) and even then won't work as perfectly as shown. He says that the back should be 'twisted like this', but when the clip goes on, you see that the back of the opponent isn't like that!

  • this is easy to learn and it works.

  • what a bunch of crap. Chinese people can't fight.

  • Haha, are you sure about that? Bruce Lee is the one that made up the theories for MMA. And just to let you know, all of the fighting arts you see now around the world either came from CHINA or JAPAN you dumbass. Just to let you know, Japanese arts originated from SHAOLIN. Ask any Asian history teacher from Japan , or Korea and he'll tell you.

  • ha! then go to china and say that!!!!

  • Chinese Kung Fu is the grandfather to all martial arts u fuckin dumass

  • uh... no... chinese kung fu came from india.

  • uh...no..shut up u retard... India?? wtf? u dont know shit

  • err... as eloquently and intelligently as you put that, I think you might think about researching a topic before saying anything about it? An indian priest, Bohdidharma (sorry if the name is butchered or wrong) came to china and brought the rudimentary movements of what became shaolin, and then the basis of all chinese martial arts. granted, china did make the self-defense BETTER, but by no means were the "grandfather" of martial arts.

  • nooo...if u actually study martial arts, u would know that Chinese Kung Fu is considered the Grandfather of all martial arts and ur right Bodhidharma was a Buddhist monk but the fact that he's from India is debated.. And the attribution of Shaolin Kung Fu to Bodhidharma have been discredited by historians.. Bodhidharma started kung fu is a legend...

  • well, yes, i know chinese kung fu is considered the grandfather, but consideration doesnt make it true. and while it is debated, we can at least agree that there is a possibility that it may be true and that it would be better not to state possibility as fact. In any case, Chinese kung fu did attribute to much of our martial arts today, just don't say it so abrasively.

  • If you want to even go further back in time you will learn that some historians believe that martial arts actually came from Greece known as Pankration. When Alexander the Great conquered virtually the whole Eastern Hemisphere the Greek culture was spread out to the Orient including what we now call pankration.

  • well this stuff that you use is in self defense on like the streets or some bar fight. they most likely wont have much martial arts training and will probably throw their whole weight into a bunch and over rotate their body making them unbalanced and easy to take down.

  • would this really work against someone who doesnt punch straight like that has no coordination and he is very strong under the influence of drugs and feels no pain?

  • @ allnamestook, This move always works - perhaps you're too slow LOL.

  • bullshit, no one just swing one punch, ppl always follow up

  • lmao marine15smurf post some vids haha

  • i have a black belt in ving tsun and i myself no that if someone grabed my arm with both there arms u can still think fast enogh to give them a blow to the side of the chops or the face or to the nose to the ribs when u use both ur hands u give up WAY to much of your body...although i am a skilled fighter nd to someone that isnt this movement would kick the crap out of them lol but to a trained person...ud lose fast.

  • Yes of course. Did you know that in Ving Tsun you get a sash not a belt?

  • ..i used this and it worked!

  • u great!!thx

  • chin-na and shuaijiao kung fu is traininig of military chinese defense

  • This is a pretty good technique, but the problem is that you'll never know how people will react, you can't possibly think all people will react like the guy in video. I think thats the hardest part about self defense is that you'll never what can happen and what people are capable of, you just can't underestimate anyone.

  • nice point solidsnake0025 BUT that's why we train. Each discipline has it's own ways of taking advantage of oppourtunities. The point isn't to know exactly what your opponent is doing, BUT to be able to use what you know when the oppourtunity presents itself.

  • what happens when you do this but he fakes or just a quick jab then punches hard with the other hand? :(..

  • Make sure you tell him to just hold his other hand back till your done with the techinique instead of hitting you in the face with it, lol.

  • what if he bites your arm?

  • soo seems like jijutsu or hapkido, but i mean all styles did come from china :D .. good vid

  • You're saying all martial arts are chinese?

  • post some more! ^_^ awesome!

  • great job and thanks for posting
