  • just think...that could have been Eric clapton & John Mayer joined by Stevie Ray Vaughan, and Jimi Hendrix..with some nice singing from, maybe, John Lennon..sometimes life just isnt fair. Im sure heaven got some kick ass concerts though

  • Wtf? Can't hear John and Doyle! Sick solos as well ....

  • No doubt, Clapton get inspired when another great guitar players are on stage.

  • @katvoy or a super hot woman is with him :)

  • somebody help John on the cables !

  • Whoever did the sound was terrible. Neither Bromhall or Mayer were loud enough in the mix during their solo's

  • Who is the left handed guitarist? Why no one pay attention to him?!?!

  • Robert Randolph is a bad ass

  • Abe Laboriel Jr, THANK YOU FOR THAT POCKET!!

  • mayer is just sick, soo good, he will be SRV and Clapton one day, he's still quite young

  • @maskchamp Yeah when he actually has something terrible happen to him he will just lift off. You've got to feel the blues to play the blues, and Mayer is a white middle classed guy who gets all the girls and a multi millionare.

  • i think the best performance they've done with this song was at the Crossroads 2010 concert.

  • You soug is great

  • Thanks! Iwas there, It's great!

  • wtf i couldnt hear john mayers solo

  • @ilovelamp457

he´s in yur left speaker ;)

  • @ilovelamp457 I think that's what we call "God's Providence", I mean being unable to listen that shit.

  • You know who is the boss, when John Mayer ask to do a solo, and Doyle being told to do one more solo, and Sheryl beeing told to start singing....

  • is that paul mccartneys drummer?

  • @guitarzz24 yes, he is Abe Laboriel Jr, and he is great. ;-)

  • Even Sarah Palin was there @ 1:33. ;~)

  • its like a fender endorsement show.. :)

  • 3:24 Sheryl Crow with a guitar only makes her hotter

  • Oh hell yeah!! Are you kidding me!!!!!!! Sheryl Crow is the most gorgeous woman on the planet AND one hell of a singer/player. Plus Abe Laborial JR, John Mayer AND The greatest guitar player in the world ever.......Nice post dude, NICE POST!!!!!

  • Big drummer or tiny drum kit? Either way, he looks like the Heavy from Team Fortress 2... anyway, amazing song and the slide guitar is truly awesome!

  • You know you fail when Eric Clapton tells you to crank the amp volume up when you work as a soundtech roadie.

  • кто нибудь на русском слушает эту музыку? шож все такие профаны .барабанщик-постаревший Каспер и подпевка так ничего девки

  • кто нибудь на русском слушает эту музыку? шож все такие профаны

  • Who is the slide guitarist here???

  • @benhurl123 ...his name is.........doyle bramhall..formerly played with roger waters

  • @benhurl123 ..are you talking about the lefty?....doyle bramhall the 2nd.......formerly played with roger waters..if you are speaking of the young black man...that's robert randolph

  • Anyone mind telling me who left handed guitarist at the end of solo is?

  • Crow kills this song!

mayers and claptons versions are far better vocally :)

  • HAHAHAHAHHA the microphone is too short for John!!!! HAHAHA W JOHN and his 1.91 mt.!!!

  • This kid sounds like SRV...

  • @NkamilN Did you mean the kid is John Mayer? He has SRV tatooed on his arm and of course Stevie was a huge influence. Picture him as a real kid, playing over and over in his room. That's what it takes to be a guitar great, hours of playing.

  • @ohblahdah Yeah :) He's pretty good... He's one of the true gifted young musicians of our time

  • kool tune.sweet vert gap.

  • Clapton never uses his pinky amazing

  • Clapton is God When it comes to the guitar. very few can play in his league Buddy Guy Robert Johnson Hubert sumlin Robert Cray are the few that could. John mayor is a Really good player But puts this new age feel to it if he play the style as buddy Guy Muddy Waters Clapton do he would be known for life like these guys do not sayin he cant play cause the boy can. But only one here host his own guitar festival Eric Clapton and everyone is guest on his show>>

  • I LOVE Sheryl Crow. She's amazing, but guitar-wise she is absolutely belittled on this stage. Mayer and Clapton are both in the top 10 guitarists alive today without question.

  • The uploader needs to retitle this and give Robert Randolph some love.

  • thankfully, the god finally sings at 4:50

  • DOOOOYYYYYYYYLEEEEEEEEEEE Bramall

  • Love it ...Thank you......

  • clapton + mayer + crow = eargasm

  • @MultiStevieH don't forget robert randolph

  • These are all amazing artists. Got to love those dissing Mayer's abilities here, they simply have no effin clue how the guy can play

  • what i find amusing about all this is that a true legend like clapton was gracious enough to share the stage with both mayer and doyle bramhall II, who, by the way, can play the light rings of saturn around mayer. Eric Clapton = always a class act!

  • @Xcitableboy Clapton loves to share the stage. Check the Crossroads Guitar Festival DVDs! Doyle tours with him and he lets him take leads while he plays rhythm. I also saw them with Derek Trucks on slide -- amazing guitar trio. Clapton has played with Mayer a few times, and yes he is most gracious. I was there this day in London -- the trip of a lifetime for a California girl, and I'm still paying for it! Gonna see Clapton next month in San Diego! Check where seric dot com for tour info!!!

  • Funny thing is Doyle and Clapton even if he is not the guitarist he once was have more feeling in them then John Mayer. He will never come close to the feeling DB and EC put in every tone they play, it simply is amazing and is realy what music should be about. I think the John Mayer version of crossroads on his new album shows that he should let the once who realy can play the blues play the blues.

  • @TheBigEke got bac and take English 101........it is "than" not "then" in a proper sentence structure. John Mayer is a musical god, as is Clapton. Do you think Clapton would have given him the rights to the song, if he thought Mayer was going to do it injustice? Ummmmm............no! People like you are just jealous Mayer has talent and money. Keep it up Johnny!

  • @england716 Thank you for the english lesson. John Mayer may be a good guitarist and some may even think he is a god. But when it comes to blues my personal opinion is that he doesnt have the blues in him. I dont think Clapton would stop anyone from doing it, and he may even like it, but just because he doesnt mean i do. Money has nothing to do with it, if you play music for the money you have lost the point. I have no intention of becoming a famous guitarist and therefore im not jealous

  • @TheBigEke I am.........I get to hear good music......and he can shower me with all kinds of expensive stuff and we can both be nutcases together.........he is my dreamboat! I love Mayer's music. Saw him 3rd row in Houston this summer, he is amazing live!

  • @england716 Good for you. Im going to se Clapton or the second time this summer in Stockholm he's rarely here so im realy excited, last year when i saw him was the best day in my life :)

  • @TheBigEke Yeah, it is always awesome to see you faves live.........you can listen to them all day on CD, but when ya see them live........all it does is make you want to them again and again.......etc. Have fun! I like Eric too! I was being cynical about the nutcase thing.........LOL

  • @TheBigEke shut the fuck up John Mayer is very talented and he deserves all the rewards he gets and don't say John is lucky to be playing onstage with clapton he doesn't need to be lucky he's a great guitarist and I'm sure he'd be allowed to play with eric anytime he wanted. So you can fuck up and stop being a bitch

  • Hey, what about Robert Randolph?

  • gosh! i just realized.. sheryl got the blues!!

    \m/_

  • John mayer's voice sure did make up for the technical problem to his strat. Awesome!

  • that drummer drums for paul mccartney!

  • @srvanddoubletrouble1 Abe Laboriel, Jr. He drums for everyone.

  • You could tell John Mayer was holding back.

  • @EtherealSunrise LOL... He knows that Eric Clapton is the GOD on stage.. If EC wanted he could blow him of stage..

  • @Bigbluesboy Hell no. Eric Clapton may be in control of the show but he can in no way shape or form outplay John Mayer, All you people think the legends can never be surpassed. There are bedroom warriors on youtube that can outplay Eric Clapton. People are getting better than the innovators and there's nothing you can do to deny that.

  • @EtherealSunrise It is in the choice of notes, my friend :)

  • @Bigbluesboy Yea, the notes Clapton LACKS.

  • @EtherealSunrise BigBoyBlues, that couldnt be farther from the truth. Clapton is god...hands down

  • @EtherealSunrise Not true

  • @EtherealSunrise ... outplay?!? ... could you define that? Are you thinking of Justin Bieber?!? ... please enlighten me :)

  • @EtherealSunrise ... tell? tell how?? In a minute you're gonna tell me, that you have lots of experience doing all kinds of gigs, right? :)

  • @LexBailey1 I'm a musician so actually, yes I do. Outplay - Tastier and more Technically proficient solos.

  • @EtherealSunrise .... Ooooooh ... you're a musician!! Then I REALLY have to bend over!!! ... And then your opinion on Claptons lack of skill and pressence suddenly makes sense. You've actually played your stuff to other people, and therefore know your way around the business. I owe you all kinds of respect ... or maybe I'm just gonna laugh juuuust a little bit. Even though I'm sure you think you're a better musician than the rest :) Have a great day ...lol

  • @LexBailey1 Your ignorance and sarcasm makes me want to vomit.

  • @EtherealSunrise vomit?!? ... but ... wouldn't that look kinda stupid?? I mean, with your skills and your impressive audience?!? You're just gonna vomit??? Anyway ... did Clapton do your wife while you were on your latest world tour?? You seem so hostile. Or maybe you're just so fed up with working crappy shifts at 7 Eleven, while you just KNOW, that Clapton is sooooo not happenin'? :)

  • @EtherealSunrise I actually laughed out loud. Send me your CD, please........cuz if you are better than Mayer or Clapton........you must have one!!!

  • Wow do you ignore everything you read? Please quote where I said I was better than Mayer or Clapton.

  • sheryl crow is a rock mistery

  • you need to add robert randolph to the title

  • would love to see the three of them together, but with better sound/ to much like a studio thing? 2 brilliant guitarist's and a bit of candy(don't know of her) but looks like she can play? i'm sure you will let me know lol.try john with slash/zz top doing le grange/ or john & eric doing crossroads

  • I wish that she would have just let Clapton sing it

  • clapton rules

  • somehow i'm not buying this from sheryl crow...where are the great blues women?

  • @JonnyDiggs Bonnie Raitt..

  • @JonnyDiggs it might be interesting to see how tracy chapman would do this .. not really a blues woman but i like her a LOT in the thrill is gone with bb king.

  • Someone turn mayer's guitar up, the gods need to hear this one!

  • Where's Sheryl Crows solo? lol

  • @Glew1992 she cant solo she can only play chords

  • @DragonRory17 haha i know...thats why i added "lol" to the end of my comment

  • Robert Randolf doesn't get a mention in the heading for this video. Brilliant.

  • @christopauls

    true

  • Robert Randolf doesn't get a mention in the heading for this video. Look out for him on Eric's Crossroads DVDs. He is brilliant. Is this from a Crossroads gig?

  • I fucking hate soundmen!!!

  • @bowtechspeedfreak yeah the guitars should have been turned up alot!!!

  • Was this in Hyde park?

  • love the way Clapton speeds up his solo at 5:55 :D

  • Willie Weeks on bass!!!

  • We need more volume on them gee-tar solos!

Great song! Great musicians! Great fun!

  • A bit too much Crow for me in this one, but very nice either way.

  • 4:20 one more!

  • 4:20 one more!

  • john mayar is a reeeally good guitarist!! but on this stage, just like bramhall, he's merely an apprentice!

cause when Eric takes his step to the side, you know who the true master is!!

only two got close to eric in terms of fluency on guitar, and unfortuneatly Jimi and SRV are no longer with us =(

  • @snakkajak I agree completely, with one amendment: I think B.B. King is as good or better than Clapton. But not by much.

  • I need to see Randolph in the title of this video.

  • I think some one has forgotten to turn on mayers, guitar as there seems to be a massive lack of volume!

  • Clapton, Crow and Mayer!! Talk about a triple threat, they'd rock'd the stage!!

  • I have listened to Eric for YEARS...but there is a new sheriff in town, and his name is JOHN MAYER.. He will be the BEST of all time...

  • That was amazing!!! Thanks for the upload!!!

  • I swear I've never heard Eric play a bad note ever,And it seems like his playin is getting better the older he gets. The man is a legend!

  • The people doing the sound on these shows never can seem to get the balance right...not that I particularly care to hear Doyle Bramhall solo while I could be listening to Clapton. Still, when he's soloing, give his output a boost, THEN turn him back down.

  • jesus christ, why does everyone feel the need to bash john mayer? the guy is excellent...eric clapton wouldnt surrond himself with john if he didnt believe so. they have been touring together doing crossraod festivals for years. stop drinkin the haterade and enjoy the music

  • Anyone saying JM isn't in the same league as Doyle, Trucks, or Clapton needs to do some research. In reality JM is the best player on stage, though this video doesn't do him near enough justice.

  • @MrJwbreede Come on ? Doyle is a far most tasteful player than mayer, mayer is SRV rip off legit. and EC hasnt been touched by anyone in the the last 30 years. Please

  • @TheTbrightman Doyle is much more comfortable playing the sideman role, something JM never does. And I will concede that JM was pretty much a SRV copycat in the beginning stages of his career. However, these days he has really come into his own and developed a distinct playing style.

  • @MrJwbreede You gotta be kidding us, right? Of course John Mayer is pretty good, but Clapton is a fucking legend man. John would have to work really hard to get to Clapton's level.

  • @ThiagoMartinsBH In a strictly technical sense, he is the best on stage. Of course Clapton has a much more expansive catalog and the advantage of being one of the key innovators of electric blues. Clapton is a legend. But John has the skill set to reach Clapton's level.

  • crossroades is like music history first robert johnson, then eric clapton and then john mayer :D

  • why is johns guitar sound so low?? he is the best player on stage

  • Eric Clapton is awesome, Total guitar legend

  • @greatgretschsound29 - Abe Laboriel Jr is an awesome drummer. He learned from the best, his Dad is a legendary bass player. The old Koinonia albums with Abe Laboriel and Justo Almario are incredible.

  • Incredible band and performance! wow!

  • Was that Mark Harmon at like 2:18?? lol

  • And Doyle Bramhall II!!!!!!!!

  • Hah yea? There is maybe a little bit of talent on that stage. Wow.

  • blues is da music come on

    and africa is da mother

    and i am the brada

    yes we clap

  • mayer´s volume solo was too low

  • @leoflame18 he knew it too he was cheakin the amp and stuff to

  • Riding withe the KING...

  • Riding with the king...

  • Holy Shit. Mayer sounds like a poor mans SRV

  • I love those screaming notes at :37 Eric plays.

  • It was brilliant:)

  • Lovely intro =)

  • Lovely intro...

  • whos the last guitarist that joins thats playing the strat left handed

  • @HighNflY Doyle Bramhall II

  • Fact: Robert Johnson became even more popular to people knowing that Clapton likes him a lot. Do you agree? I hope so.. :-)

  • Damn!.. I'm a trash metal maniac, but I still can't resist Eric Clapton's master blues guitar touch! Hahaha!

  • I was there, real near the front. It was awesome! :D

  • the drummer in this video drums for paul mccartney, what a sick line up for this sick song

  • Glad to see another Big Bald Drummer like me out there killin it!

  • @lardtubb abe laboriel jr. and he is awesome!

  • this is fuckin awesome made me like john mayer for six minutes and fifty nine seconds

  • @HighNflY Have you seen Mayer's "Gravity" from this same concert? whoa.

  • Its inspiring to know that Clapton still has it after all these years, especially on vocals. Great guitar playing across the board, despite what you all may have to say.

  • Easy just saying that Mayer is as good of a guitarist as Doyle or Derek is a joke and so are you!

  • Lol isn't it funny that Robert Randolph has his name written in front of his instrument! :D

  • Comment removed

  • hi im sheryl crowe. now that im no longer relevant, i like to do to eric clapton the equivalent of fucking a guy in high school just so i can ride around in his sports car.

  • @rubberrev0lver Shut the fuck up. Sheryl Crow is the Queen of Rock n Roll

  • @rubberrev0lver bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla

  • The show was awesome, Clapton and friends were great but, What happened with the sound engineer? It sounds terrible, the backing sounds are louder than the guitar in the solos hahaha, Clapton is great!

  • The only woman who ever sang the blues was Etta James. Sheryl, stick to rock.

  • All that talent on stage, and the only guitar player you can hear is Clapton. The sound man was either a moron, or he is Eric's pal, making sure

that no other guitarists are heard except for Eric.

    To me that sucks.

  • I'm willing to bet it wasn't a problem with the live sound man, but rather with how it was captured in the recording we're watching now.

  • This is awesome..can imagine the atmosphere at that concert being blinding.. : )

  • Holy...That's all. Holy. And Sheryl belongs. Voice is great.

  • I know I am going to catch a great deal of flack for this, but that stage is full of legends.. Clapton, of course. Robert Randolph, John Mayer is coming along. Doyle is a beast... but I must say, Sheryl Crow has no business on that stage....

  • Why is that?

  • @Rickenbacker4001C64 Sheryl is a big pal of Clapton dude. Shes the queen of rock n roll too. It also helps that they where an item in the 90s

  • @magnum9987

haha well Clapton may be god , he is not a girl so that would be very unlikely

  • love it! :)

  • 6:54

    Slowhand & Slowhand Jr.

    Legend.

  • @Amachantha Come on, John mayer is a greta player, but he doesn't even get anywhere near Clapton's status

  • @magnum9987 I agree, for the simple reason that they cannot be compared and put on a same level..Eric Clapton has experienced a lot more than John as an artist and human being. I'm merely saying that John has picked up that rock / blues heritage along with some mad soloing skills that have become very rare in today's generation.

And of course we can talk about status now..John is still a recording artist. We'll talk about status when John's 70

  • And Clapton reigns supreme...

  • the only people who are better then Clapton is B.B king and jimmy Hendrix in my opinion other then that clapton is kick ass

  • I think you need to check out Johnny Hiland. He can play with or above anyone I've heard. Including Clapton.

  • OMG, This is wonderful.

My 2 Favorites, with so many other great musicians.

I think John Mayer would have like to do this, Last year he released his new album with this song included..

But, i think he played it so many times before..

  • @broodjewout

where are you talking about?? john is playing

  • and thank you very much.!!!

  • dude Robert Randolph is a beast in concert
