@xavierboy24 My experience is that the horn only helps when the person doesn't know I'm there. In both cases the other driver barged in intentionally knowing that I wouldn't allow and accident to happen. The horn would have dont nothing except deprive me of a hand from steering wheel.
@Scruit What are you 80? That's something an 80 year old would say. LOL. Any who, I respect your decision to not honk. We all handle situations differently. Furthermore, as you may know, many people would honk in situations 0:23 and 0:38.
@Scruit Learn to drive 1 handed. Honk to let people know you're not backing off. I always honk for a good 10-20 seconds against any jack@ss trying to get into an accident.

Its not for scolding people to make oneself feel better, its for preventing a collision. To honk unnecessarily would increase the danger to all within earshot, since it could needlessly distract or startle anyone who hears it. I might have honked at 0:38 but only Scruit was there and he may have been able to assess factors we couldn't see.

Similar incident happened to me. An old lady was trying to merge out to avoid an exit and she FORCED her way into my lane. It was like she was a kamikaze or something. Luckily, well not really luckily, I had to cut someone off in the other lane to avoid a chain of accidents.

I dont know why yt didnt show me these vids! another great vid, captures, and avoiding without more bad situations! to many careless, wanting to beat, and people who dont look deserve an accident so they can be held responsible but I dont wish people getting hurt! they seem not to learn!
@langlebl LOL. No, I lived in Dayton for 8 years and Virginia drivers are the worst of the worst. Of course, in the state I live in NO ONE knows what a turn signal is for. They live amongst us..............
Yeah, that was an Accord. No, none of these people is paying attention. I used to do courier work in an urban area like that driving 200 miles per day. I had something like this happen every day.
