  • I would love some help on rotc. We'll i go talk to a recruiter before going to my selected college and get him to set everything up for me or whaT? Thanks for the help!

  • iv been in the army reserves for about 3 years. im thinking about joining rotc. do i have to do LTC? and i most likely will being doing the 2 year scholarship since i already have a bachelors degree.

  • i am reserved for cycle 2 this year

  • class '78 rotc grad here, do you cadets still go to 6 week advanced camp? mine was at ft bragg.

  • it's at ft. lewis, WA and we call it LDAC now, and this year it was shortened to four weeks. I believe they're going to increase the days in 2010.

  • @krisfaun

ive heard due to funding it might be shortened 2 or 3 days from 09. Plus, certain parts will be taken out (grenade training and something else).

  • @mcmadson are we talking about LDAC? 2010 will be longer

  • how long is ltc and when is it

  • it changes year to year. talk to your university rotc department.

  • Racontez-moi

Quel est ce lien qui me tient vivant dans ce monde

    Rassurez-moi

Si les douleurs nous rendaient meilleurs

  • The hardest part in this training is having to deal with whiners and ill disciplined unmotivated disgusting cadets who cant pull their weight. As long as you can bang out 50 push ups minimum and 14:00 min / 2 mile it is a piece of cake. The best part about this program is that it'll give you a slight taste what its like to be in the Army and you make many friends.

  • Does that mean you cant go over 14:00? thats pretty damn fast. I'm probably going to this or just going to basic.

  • Guys must run 2 miles in under 16 minutes basically.

  • I graduated from the ROTC 2 year program. It was incredible. It got me in shape and prepared me for life mentally.

  • @FinalWar1444 I am taking ROTC for 4 years... Is there any different between the 2 & 4 years?

  • @SuRihtanil 2 yr scholarship cadets have to go through LTC to make up the mils 100-200 courses and get college credits, unless they're prior service. LTC gives a better experience than the normal 4 yr course (opinion).

  • have u gone through army rotc?

  • this video makes it seem like summer camp. not gonna lie---it was a pretty rough 28 days. and i'm not talking about the sleep deprivation or the push ups, either. get used to being screamed at and standing at ease for what feels like hours on ends. "IN CADENCE, EXERCISE!"

  • compared to basic, it would be summer camp

  • @xkbell yeah its gay that every video makes it look like its summer camp. I thought it was P***y Sh** as well. But when i got there and was greated by the DS's i realized it wasnt summer camp lol. Its a crap load easier than basic cause they have too many restrictions. I think they should go back to the 6 weeks basic they use to do. The worse part for me was the Heat we had Cat 5 + 80% Humidity everyday. Overall its real good though, but dont go there thinking its medowbrook day camp lol

  • I just want to warn you guys that it's a bit more intense than this video suggests. The BDU's alone are enough to point out how extant this video is. When I went during cycle two,(just got out a week and a half ago) we sure as hell weren't playing pool! Just warning you guys, it's pretty raw. C/SSGT Co.B 3rd Plt outlaws. Cycle 2 09'

  • read the info box to see the new one.

  • hey!! looking foward to fuckin LTC next year where are the motivated cadets!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • looks like fuckin summer fun camp or something, probably isn't

  • My LTC cycle is June 26th, anyone else?

  • hey! i got 2nd cycle, leaving june 12..

  • yea, Im in that cycle too. 2 more weeks!

  • I cant wait to join airborne

  • going to LTC 11 july 09 anyone in that cycle

  • leaving for LTC 23 June 09... anyone else in that cycle?

  • Yeah iv got the same cycle 24 of june - 23 july, right

  • wait a minute...are they seriously suggesting that we'll actually have down time to play billiards? Somehow, that sounds WAY too good to be true.

  • yeah i m thinkin it might be. im hedin out on friday june 19th anybody else?

  • are u cadets motivated????? hoaaaah C/PFC Ramirez here motivated to go 2 LTC next summer!!!! any one whos going hit me up and let me know cus from what i understand they dont allow u to be in the same platoon as people from ur state or province...

  • so LTC is the trainning after graduating from college or what??

  • nono, the training after college is BOLC I and II.

LTC is for college students that want to try out ROTC late in their college career. it's a catch-up program over the summer for those ROTC classes they've missed out in their freshmen and sophomore year.

  • ohh thanks...so BOLC I is in junior year and II in senior year??..i was asking because i join the program but i heard that you ca actually join during the senior year which was the most important one...i am actually going to basic for National guard but they did not ask me for LTC

  • correction, BOLC I is rotc in college, and then II and III is post college graduation. II is more basic training for officers, and then III is training for the branch you are in.

doing LTC all depends on how much time you got before graduating college. if you have two more years left, then it's possible to take you into the rotc program.

  • ohhh...thanks you really hepled me a lot...so just out of curiosity are you in..if so what are you??

  • no ltc is like the first part of basic treaining for rotc cadets.....and its the summer after second year of collage or before ur third year of collafg

  • LTC is not something all ROTC cadets go through. again, it's a summer course to get credit for MILS 101 - 202. most cadets go through college without ever going to LTC.

LDAC is the required course for cadets held in the summertime in after their MSIII year.

  • Going to LTC this summer as well. Good to go, sir!

  • damn ill be going to ltc on summer 2010!! HOOAHHH ARE U MOTIVATED???????

  • is it possible to wash out?

  • the only possible way to wash out is to just quit and fly back home.

it's summer camp designed to get you into the army life, so it caters a lot to the needs of the cadets.

  • actually they do,they have the NROTC

  • i think you don't really know what the army rotc is.

  • yes, they make great suicide soldiers

  • I never saw a pool table!

  • There was a pool table and a ping pong table in my LTC barrack. But its really used by the NCOs and officers that was in charged of the barrack. I think the cadets gets to used them like for like only 1 or 2 days during the whole 28 day ordeal.

  • well i'll be a monkey's uncle.

i guess you were the lucky one

  • you will be up every morning at 0400, and dont be fooled, there is no pool table

  • i'm still pissed off about that.

  • the course is about 28 days long, and it is about five days for the last two phases.

  • how much sleep do you get :)
