If the kid played a few more notes then the crystal woud have exploded, since there was no way to get the kid to stop, he fired the gun to make them stop.
The kid had a bomb in his trumpet that was set to go off when he played a certain note. Jerry shot his gun to keep him from blowing up the kennedy center, and killing the president
well actually, the kid's mom had some crystal exploding thing on her and her kid had a exploding thing in his trumpet and she was so excited to see him that he ran to him to hug him but if the two exploding thing came close enough, it would explode and kill the president and everyone i guess , which the eagle eye lady (the phone call lady) wanted all along, to kill the pres make someone else president to have a better country
It had nothing to do with the bomb. The government ignored the Abort Mission in the beginning. The computer felt that the people who wanted to ignore it were a threat to the national defense. The bomb was just to kill them.

I saw this movie when it first came out and i went in with low expectations. I went to this movie yesterday and it really was great. Loved the action. It was a really exciting movie to watch. And I think Shia La Boeuf played his character very good.
It's not that it's confusing; it's that the story is fucking shite. I think this is one of the most predictable, over-played, ridiculous stories I've ever seen in a movie, right up there with Hancock. It tries so hard to follow conventional storytelling, but it does a terrible job at it.
Seriously, this is one of those movies that make you cringe if you're paying enough attention to the story; you just wanna shoot the writer. :/

I'm sure the goverment can monitor our phones and use survillance, but they have other problems. Also, with the action sequences. I wil admit that some of them were awesome, but it got old real fast. It would've been nice if they spent more time on the characters instead of having them getting chased all the time. NOOOO donth8toni3ill, I rly don't think The Dark Knight was a kids movie at all. I mean, it was based off off a comic series but the movie was very dark. There was almost no blood but there was A LOT of violence, some implied off-screen. It dealt with many issues kids might not understand. Im a teenager and even I cringed when the Joker was holding a knife in his victim's mouth.
Well think of it from this view point Hixchix124, All my little cousins went with me to see it, (most under 14) and they were like, "Cool!" and "Wow!" to the 'dark' scenes. Anyone with a slightly mature brain could watch it and be fine. but Eagle Eye was a story that you had to stay on top of, instead of "Batman has to beat Joker, save the girl, fight Harvey, the end" ya know?

Shia is probably the best new big movie actor right now. Most people who come from Disney Channel aren't as good as Shia is. And The Dark Knight is kinda getting old of hearing about, because I knew what was going to happen from the beginning since The Dark Knight was just 2 older movies put together. But Heath Ledgers performance was amazing, I'll give him that. And by the way, you can't really compare this movie to Transformers because he's an adult in this and a teen in Transformers.

i think it was pretty stupid because all they did was rip off a bunch of other movies. not directly but the ideas were like the same. it was interesting to watch in general, but the plot was very predictable

I'm sure the goverment can monitor our phones and use survillance, but they have other problems. Also, with the action sequences. I wil admit that some of them were awesome, but it got old real fast. It would've been nice if they spent more time on the characters instead of having them getting chased all the time. The plan to kill the president and his cabinet is just a copy of the ending Get Smart. The song might as well have been Ode to Joy. I was expecting him to tackle the conductor.

You call getting a delivery of bombs to your room real. I mean cmon. Even the main character says to that detective, "Gee don't you think I would be the dumbest terrorist in the world if I delivered bombs to my house" I mean where is the common sense in this movie. You think this kid is lying! Also, with people being afraid of their cell phones after seeing this movie. GET REAl! You think the goverment has time to be doing that. We are in deep shit with this recession and bailout plan.

I don't know, The Dark Knight and Transformers were just movies based on comics/popular kids toys. Eagle Eye was for teens/adults, when anyone who's at least 10 could see The Dark Knight + Transformers.

NOOOO donth8toni3ill, I rly don't think The Dark Knight was a kids movie at all. I mean, it was based off off a comic series but the movie was very dark. There was almost no blood but there was A LOT of violence, some implied off-screen. It dealt with many issues kids might not understand. Im a teenager and even I cringed when the Joker was holding a knife in his victim's mouth.

Well think of it from this view point Hixchix124, All my little cousins went with me to see it, (most under 14) and they were like, "Cool!" and "Wow!" to the 'dark' scenes. Anyone with a slightly mature brain could watch it and be fine. but Eagle Eye was a story that you had to stay on top of, instead of "Batman has to beat Joker, save the girl, fight Harvey, the end" ya know?

Im a teen and I truely thought that both The Dark Knight and Transformers were the best movies I've ever seen ( I wasn't a cartoon or toy fan ). I've always admired Shia Labeuf performance as I grew up and I was just wondering if his acting streak was not over.

Shia is probably the best new big movie actor right now. Most people who come from Disney Channel aren't as good as Shia is. And The Dark Knight is kinda getting old of hearing about, because I knew what was going to happen from the beginning since The Dark Knight was just 2 older movies put together. But Heath Ledgers performance was amazing, I'll give him that. And by the way, you can't really compare this movie to Transformers because he's an adult in this and a teen in Transformers.
