Additionally, I've read so many books about my countries history including native and foreign authors sources. So, I believe that I know what I am talking about. I am sorry for the person you've mentioned who couldn't research the ottoman empire documents. But I can give you plenty of names from different countries (Germany, England, US, Japan) who were able to do research at library with permission.

And factually the firs person who talked about Armenian Genocide on international area, which was forbidden during the years of Soviet Union Government. In response to Turkish politics offer of investigating this issue on the level of historians he asked for opening archives concerning Ottoman Empire. He was refused refused several times. I can only make judgement for this but can not talk about it for sure.
