I'd get a larger fixed blade knife. I don't trust anything else. Pliers or a multitool, something to boil water in. Fly fishing gear is light and compact and unless you're somewhere like a desert you will have water and fish. My friend makes an easy coke can stove thing thats great, boils water fas and very easy. You just need denatured alcohol and flint and steel.

I would get a fixed blade knife as. Well as a metal water bottle to boil water in. Use lint as tindering loose the towlets and the shoe rope an invest in some para cord lose the tooth picks other than a bigger bag and and a poncho or tarp I thick your set oh plastic bags to stor a cell phone so it docent get wet while you hike

better knife, water bottle, led torch, poncho, milar blanket, some leather gloves, duct tape, sewing kit, glow sticks, knife sharpener, water purificatio tablets, tea satchets and stock cubes( to flavour water), tin or canteen to boil water in, small campng stove ( about the size of your hand) with fuel tablets. a better folding knife, medical swabs

also ditch the pencil shavings and pick up some more cotton balls or some longer burning tinder and people always forget how important kindling is

great kit mate i would add a water bottle and some more cotton balls also add a lighter ,pureification tabs and some hot bevarage pouches like hot chocolate tea and coffee could you get back to me as soon as possible

Hi buddy, good start on your kit there. Use that orange whisle you got to hold matches for a pocket fishing kit...good vid about it on BushcraftBartons using the same tool, I think he calls the vid New Idea.....

If you want to get good ideas to form a foundation for a good no nonsense kit then I would suggest looking at ryanjcus, PackRat556, and ExON00. These guys have kits that are common sense and only the essentials. Good Luck!

clear plastic sheet circles, about 3 ft in diameter for solar stills. water is top in important shit (look up how to make a solar still. pretty amazing invention)

Forget the wire saw, Get a folding saw instead like the bahco laplander. It takes up more space but I think you could make more room by ditching some bits like the candles, fire lighters and pencil shavings,

Tinder- Tampons are compressed cotton wool in a waterproof wrapping.

To add I would get a GOOD folding knife and a GOOD fixed blade knife as well as space blanket for shelter

And you should also use your kit so that way if you really ever need it you know how every thing in it works and how to use the things in it.

i see alot of people with ziplock bags with their cotton balls in

but if you take a pill bottle andstuff it full you can put twice as much tinder in there as for just putting in a ziplock

as you stick them in the bottle you put the vasaline on them and keeps them comacted too

To emphasize a couple of the points below:

Radiant blanket - lightweight silver blanket.

Para cord - A length of quality cord is what you need. Cheap, and good for shelters, water-traps etc.

Antiseptic such as Coloidal silver. McD's cloths aren't any good for washing out a wound. Small bottle of High PPM colloidal silver and 35% H202 is what I carry. Dilute to 10%. Add to drinking water, wounds, throat infections. Kills all parasites, bacteria.

Collapsible water bags.

I think you shoud add a few trash bags a tent or a tarp water tabs. more rope, road flares. first aid kit, canteen, canteen cup, pouch, MREs para cord, trangia cook system, fishing kit, snare wire. matches,lighter,granola bars,sterno fuel. you can buy most of this from DICK'S and OR TARGET for around $50 (fighty dallars)

Don't forget Shelter! Emergency blankets, poncho and/or a small tarp etc. 550 Para cord. Wind up Torch and radio. Sunscreen? First Aid kit, pain killers. I also include little known but well researched medical/survival gear such as colloidal silver, cayenne pepper and other herbs. You may need another spare knife or multi-tool. Great work though...
