I haven't tried DDO yet, but am a long-time old-school D&D player and have played WoW since it was first released. My question about DDO is this: My left arm & hand have been paralyzed since 1996 so I can only play these games using one hand. I do prety well on WoW onehanded, and I was hoping someone could tell me if they thought DDO could be played using just one hand? (On WoW, I tend to be dps.)

@JarnBjorn72 I think DDO will be really hard to play one-handed since it's real time fighting, unlike WoW, though you could give it a try since it's F2P nowadays

@userjib Hey man, excellent choice of music, first off. Secondly, I just rolled a rogue'adin based off of the build on the DDO forums. However, I'm kinda getting tempted into buying some points to buy the monk class. I'm on free to play and completely new to the game--I don't give a shit what anyone says, this isn't the PnP by a longshot, haha--so I've not a clue if Monks are worth the money, less-so even if they're worth the time. Any advice to a newby to digital 3.5? :P

I don't understand. Is Abundant Steps like flight.

I had a Monk on NWN and I loved how fast he ran beyond 8th level, but I don't recall flight being a power. Abundant Steps acted more like a Dimension Door spell once a day.

Still the flight looks really cool. :-D

ok here read this for what clases and races r p2p drow elf aka dark elf,warforged,monk,favoredsoul­. u can unlock drow elf by doing alot of quests and gather 400 favor i got 400 favor on lvl 6 so thats easy favoredsoul u can play free to but on like 3k+ total favor warforged and monk u gotta be vip or buy it with turbine points

@jared3304 its all about the balance, you wouldnt really see a dwarf hunter(archer) either right? but what ppl dont know is with the dwarf race in most games, gives you somewhat of a boost in HP and AP. NWN and LOTRO dwarf is popular for monk and hunter's alike.

During the download did it say, unable to replace "xxxxx" file with "xxxxx" file in "xxxxx" folder? If it did, then re-install and just delete the folder that it listed.

Thanks for wanting to help! But no thats actually not it. I installed the trial version first. Then i tried to install the full version, but it didn't work, the reason is it had to replace the trial version folders with the full version of them. And it couldn't because I was still using the files playing DDO. So all i had to do was delete the ones it was trying to replace.

@TheWarEnder you can use it to flee (monks rarley do) but its not much of an attck move ofc unless youre partly rouge or ranger witch gives you great advanteages over most enemys like ehh rescue lady atzuel thng well you can fly straite into the fortress from the beginning whitout a single fight and a buddy lets say a barbarian and a cleric fight their way the normal and you kick butt inside the fortress

This wasn't meant to be entertaining. This was made when the monk class was still only on the test server. No one had any hard data on how much of an attack speed increase wind stance gave, so I measured that along with filming it so others could measure the increase themselves.

Also abundant step had been changed from what was originally intended, because this was a lvl 12 skill and there were all of 3 monks in the game that level on the server, I figured I'd show what it did

@userjjb the monk itshelf is a quite strong class it has good endurance and can kill almost anything solo but it has it weakness so its not op but still its a fun class and in pvp? undead id say and i mean it can kill in less than a secound and is quite strong but it can be killed if its greatly outnumbered like 20 vs 1 monk thats not possible but vs 3 monks the monks win
