damn every mornin before i take off is make shure all the beer bottles are cleaned up so i wont take one in between the fuel tanks or on the side steps, you dont wana get pulled over by D O T or portables hangin over with empty bottles everywhere
Having been a busdriver for eight years in public transport, I ALWAYS pre-tripped my ride of the day before pulling out. Walk around, inspect the tires, lights, and body for defects or damages.
I quit smoking a year ago..but yea, dude chill out, just beefing! Alway right on the defensive side eh? I've beeh there for 5 years now,(Chips in Chilliwack) anyways as for what I was saying, its just annoyig that trailers are just getting dropped along WCA gates you know we want to leave the yard all open for the trash cans, are you still at arrow? Kinda cool got to see such familair vid, keep up the good work. I use to do tons when I trucked with Can AM,
I was there as a summer job. Tried doing the local gig, but missed the hwy. I can agree with you about the drivers dumping along the fence, but I never did. I re read the comment and see the "we" now. I apologize, I thought it was a comment directed to me. Yeah, I do get defensive. I have a clean record, and tyr to be as professional on the road as can be.
if i hear his voice, i've standing following: sixty one thousand seven hundred and sixty one kilograms - it follows also 61,76 tons and not 16 tons - see the truck, it's a double trailer. (if he's not empty xD) i spend my respect, at this responsible truck driver, they are an enrichment for the community. ;-)
great...but unfortunately...in my country you can't leave the dor open...it's a pretty big risk...i just wash my windshield before i drive:))i would love to drive a truck some day
i will not vouch for the comment before mine, i am a bus driver and i get very dirty i do a full pre trip no matter what and i will even give more thought to my pre trip when im a truck driver cuz truck drivers are out on the road alot longer then us bus drivers , just the mechanics never fix it when i write it up GO ATLANTIC EXPRESS!!!!
im not taking any offense to what your brother said because he is almost right..not quite but almost....I have to say though that bus drivers...especialy tour bus drivers are some of the scariest people on the road...you know how tour bus drivers wear those white button up shirts? have you ever wondered how they do a propper pre trip on a vehicle carrying dozens of people with out getting even the slightest smudge of dirt or grese on those nice white shirts?
Yeah, it was in inside joke more than anything. But you are right. I was tour driver for four years. The reason I'm not anymore, safety. Most busses I would get into Would have problems, no one saw before... For the reason you mentioned. Then, the companies looked the other way
waste of fuel? it costs more in fuel to shut that thing down and fire it back up than it would to let it idle! many reasons you let your tractor idle, to keep air constant instead of leakage, to listen for noises and leaks all the time etc! get your head of your ass, cause obioviously you dont have a cdl!!!
Perhaps you should then take back ALL items you have, inclusing your computer and clothing, and hold on to you garbage. You'll see the "waste of fuel". Hey post some videos so we can that your not justa "waste of time"
Waste of Fuel? what do u do in your vehicle start it up and floor it.. your supposted to let your vehicle "warm up" before you take off.. otherwise u can do some serious damage to the engine overtime...
It's called a Pre-Trip inspection, and you are required by law to perform it before EVERY trip you take. Letting the engine warm up and the air fill up is probably a good idea before you put it in gear and haul ass!
Actually, Im in the middle of editting a log book tutorial. But I need to shoot a few more shots. There's too much info for one video tho... It's a three parter
Did you decide to scrap this? I, for one, would find it really helpful as I study. I hear guys talking about logging things on line 1, 2, 3, or 4, and I'm like, what? Then there's all the HOS regulations. Geez! a logbook tutorial would be awesome if you ever get the time to work on these again.
ha ha yeah. and that's what he meant too. also on my "rolled over" vid I accidentally removed your commment. but no it was not an Arrow. it was a competitor, that is knowen for bad drivers
it depends on when you start your day. I start out going northbound, so the trailer was preloaded by the driver before me. I take that up, switch with a load of wood chips, preloaded, take that down to the lower mainland, tip the truck to empty, then go load it full of garbage for the other driver again. If you start south bound, you tip and load first, then head up to switch trailers and leave to chips for the next,..every one underrstand my long winded-ness???
Better safe than sorry.

Nice to see some stuff around the driving.
Do you pick up trailers that're already loaded, or do you load them yourself?
Sounds like the weight are the same as for my truck when it's loaded with wood chips, around 60 000 kgs (wich is the maximum weight in sweden).
