BobNugget15 actually they were but the overseers didnt care and thought it would be a good idea to keep vault doors open for traders but then the radiation,mutants,and raiders invaded most of the vaults

@whiterabbit8787 Bob is right, even though people thought vaults were to keep them safe from the nuclear danger, they were actually signing for a hidden experiment conducted by vault tec. Each vault had a very specific purpose, most of them for social experiments. The solution to this one was to refuse to give a sacrifice even under threat of all the community being killed. In the end they refused, and nothing happened and they were congratulated (there is even a audio tape).

Ive been their! When you get in their all the robots come out and shoot the shit out of you! But their a computer in a room to the right and you can press a button in the computer that completes a quest and gives you a buch of xp, you can press this button infinitly and it leveled me up to a level 9 to 40 in fallout NV. No mods, No glitches.

This was one of vault-tec's experiments, the vault dwellers wouldn't actually die if they didn't offer a sacrifice. The vault door would open and a secret stash of supplies to survive would also have been opened. Its a unique scenario for every vault. Like vault 69.... Best vault to be in as a man. 1 guy, 999 girls.

The unlucky people get to experience what could be up to a few minutes of extremely painful strangulation where your eyeballs nearly pop straight out of your skull from the pressure. Funny though, I survived my first try, I was like, " What the hell is going on?" *Doors open* "HOLY BALLS!!!" Ran around jumping like a maniac until i was on one tab of health left and cowering in some kind off room just behind one of the doors. I hurled every last grenade I had, and then expecting to go down in a blaze of glory, because I hadn't saved. Then a anti material rifle, bam last bot dead...
