Yes, let's bring back the glamor of segregation, war, and being treated like a second class citizen. Can't bring back the good 'ol days without taking the bad along with it I'm afraid.
i am 14 and i listen to this incredible classics! why can't music be like this anymore, all I hear at my school's parties is a fax machine booming through the stereo. My dream is becoming a singer, and bringing the old days back <3!
@AguirrePaco Oh how i wish to do the same darling. I'm 17 and i have been a retro junkie ever since i can remember. the early 1900's, oh how I wish to bring those times back. The glamour, the sensuality, the beauty of it all. Just so wonderful. It's up to our generation to keep this up!
Good tempo, cristal clear voice. The interpretation of this song by the British Xfactor contestant Rebecca Ferguson is sensual, deliciously slow and it brings you back to those times in style.
Artists at Liberty Records somehow did not get as good a press as did others for the beter known labels. Ms. London was one of the most underrated among them. Thank you.
I know which one you mean, I was 9 years of age when the movie came out but, I seem to remember it's being based on another already extant version- my Mom grew up when these songs were still sung and even I grew up with variety shows as a kid..some people sing it slower and there is a slow version...
This woman was never "underrated"!!! She was a great singer and actress, who recorded 32 albums and was on quite a few films, including a 7-year series in a TV sitcom from 1972 to 1979 called "Emergency". Was three time winner of the Billboard Charts awards!! She had a great career and a great life, and was recognized for her work! Has a "Hall of Fame" star in Hollywood and much more. So where do you think she was "underrated"??? Read your facts!!
I think too she was underrated, at least in my country, in Italy. Nobody remembers her.She has been a great singer and one of the most beautiful woman of all times. It's sad to think a so talented woman is forgotten now.
@maritza0108 Maybe you should do something besides read "Emergency" was not a sitcom. I also think she was underrated as a singer because she was so beautiful.
@mybosco30 She was one of the best jazz singers and totally underrated. "Emergency" which was an action drama had in its cast two most talented jazz musicians- Julie London and Bobby Troup
