Charley was nuts. For 5 days the track had it coming up the mouth of Tampa bay. That morning I was finishing boarding up when Fox 13 announced it had been upgraded to cat 4. After 3 levels were evacuated over two days, it turned at the last minute and hit Punta Gorda. Of course, we got hit back to back by Francis and Jean, what, a few weeks later.

I live not far north of there, and I'll remember Charley vividly forever. I was lucky; I got through it with my home intact. We had no power for 3 weeks, and there's a bare concrete slab in the back yard where my shop used to be, but, like I said, I was lucky. There was a period of a few hours when I sat in a closet with the cats and wondered when the roof was going to blow off. Terrifying!

@Trulsbk When Chuck Norris feels the need he blows his nose and hte harder he blows the stronger the winds. But sometimes, he blows so hard it causes a warped reaction with his other gust of wind he caused and causes things like tornados and hurricanes.
