@belliveau5 original trucks have more carve than randals i have tried out a whole heap of boards and trucks the only trucks if used which are pretty much the same carve as originals S series trucks are the gullwing sidewinders and i actually like them more iv got them on my hyrbid and it works nicely the only down point is the nut holding the bushings on is grinding down cause ive been going down curbs and legdes this was before i thawt of using the early grab though...
ok im getting an apex 34... unless someone can give me a really good reason to get a 37. Im going to be doing everthing. freestyle, a lot of cruising and carving. Im getting an apex no doubt about that. But if i get a 34 idk if i should put s6s or s8s on it... can people give me their opinions and statements why one is better than the other.
S6s will intiate the slide more easier.....and since your not doing any hills you should stay with S6s......most of the weight comes from the trucks so staying with s6s will keep the board light for those trick moves....

Originals dont do well on hills....I can get up to 20mph tops before wobbles....It's gets really twitchy....
Id say get white springs but there would be no point because it would feel like a conventional truck and defeat the purpose of originals turnyness.....

Id say dont get em. They were the Sky Blue ones but they look like shit now. Its impossible to stand up slide with em too. It looks super nice at first but then it turns all greenish bluish.
Wanna slide real nice but still get the grippy feel? Get some Lemon Big Zigs 80a 75m, or some Orangatang Durian Free Rides 83a 75m. I like to switch between them on my detvish. The free rides will give you the smoothest standup slides ever. The big zigs will give awesome grip, but will slide really smooth around corners without letting you just slide out of control.
I was thinking about getting the Sector 9 race formula wheels i heard they were grippy but still slides smooth like the otang freerides but they last way longer.
no dude. i got a set and they sucked so hard. yes they were fast, but they slide out way too much for a supposed "grippy" wheel. Get the free rides, you will not be disappointed.
Even when they are worn down, they still slide oh so smoothly.
My S9 race formulas lasted about two weeks of general riding until they started sliding a bit too much to my liking.
My O-Tang Freerides lasted about three weeks until I noticed any change in shape or ride. Then again I was doing slides like a mental patient. Not just a simple speed check here and there like with my race formulas, I was doing huge 30+ mph slides and then coming to a stop. My freerides are cones as shit now but they feel almost exactly the same as they did when I first got them

S6s will intiate the slide more easier.....and since your not doing any hills you should stay with S6s......most of the weight comes from the trucks so staying with s6s will keep the board light for those trick moves....
