I have tinnitus. would that effect what this video is supposed to do? i just noticed that my breathing has a helicopter sound effect when i have my head phones on, like an echo. its "doing something". lol
@joinery11 You need stereo headphones for the bianurals to work; and normal computer speakers probably won't play the two separate tones that make up the beat either.
@s3xydaviid You must listen with headphones for it to have an effect. When you play them with a speaker, the sounds are mixed up by the time it gets to your ears. You want them to be separated so your brain has to do the work.
wow... whenever I put this on, within the first few seconds I feel a relaxing sensation in my chest. is that normal? well I know it is but I mean is it supposed to help so fast?
@salsa066 I get the same effect when donating plasma at Biolife. it's a change in chemical composition they say, and if it's happening it means you aren't eating a healthy diet, and (don't quote me) you need more iron.
I walked around the room with this playing on my speakers and as i moved to different places the pattern of the wu wu wu wu wu would be more vivid or less and i could feel a pulse ever second wu in my heart
Is this known to stimulate blood flow? I've been doing some research and find mainly "psychological" effects from Binaural Beats, etc. but no information regarding physiological effects.
@warbrain3 I have not come across any information on how it affects blood. Given that many people use the waves for relaxation, I wouldn't count lower blood pressure out as being a possible effect. There is still a lot of territory left unexplored on the subject of brainwave entrainment.
@catsareinsane1 I would not recommend you listen to this while trying to AP, but it works well if you are edgy and are having difficulty relaxing to the state you need to be in. Try listening to some low range waves for 12-15 minutes before trying, as it will give your brain enough time to adjust to the new frequencies.
I just woke up, it's 3 am in the morning, hopefully this short burst of delta waves can put me back out and i can get a good nights sleep. cause this is bullshit atm just had the weirdest dream.
How do I makes binaural beats? (I use Audacity and FL studio). Like say I want a 3Hz beat- I think I just use say a 100Hz and a 103Hz sine wave mixed to produce 3Hz beat frequency (cuz a 3Hz wave by itself can't be heard by humans). Right???
@PeeteyP yes you're right but one wave has to be assigned to hard left, the other hard right. You have to listen on headphones for the technology to work properly. It is the brain's attempt to hear the two tones as one that encourages it to vibrate at the difference between the two frequencies. The Monroe Institute use combinations of binaural beats. They might for example combine low theta at 4hz with beta at 15hz. The idea being to keep a person alert while at the same time going very deep...
Also there are portions of the frequency spectrum that work best for binaural beats. In other words, 900hz + 904hz might work better than 100hz + 104hz. (sorry can't remember more off the top of my head) Additionally, there are specific brainwave frequencies that are especially potent at producing altered states. 4hz is one such 'special frequency', 7.83hz is another...
i have been meditating and nothing has been working... thank you soooo much for this, I am out like a light within the session...this is the only thing that works...thank you so much for letting me to get some sleep. I tried everything, including self meditation and that doesnt even work :( What you are doing is aamazing <3
@cosmicjazzer Yes...? Did you not think of it as a song? Because I've got to be honest, binaural beats aren't nearly as soothing without the pink noises and such. It keeps me in the correct ranges, sure, but it just gets annoying after awhile without any "musical" variation.
@SiressSanguinarian Hi! Sorry - I'm forever pedantic! But having gone this far, I will just say... a song is, by definition... SUNG!! I do agree that music can help the process along. That aside, yes I have indeed been studying this (and everything metaphysical!) for a very long time. Peace and joy! ;)
I've experimented and I think it's to do with the isochronic pulses rather than the binaural rhythm... does anyone understand what's going on here? It's very interesting.
@1988NickF There is always a correlation between (predominant) brain wave(s) and specific state(s) of consciousness. Change the brain wave, change the state! Isochronic beats are simply pulses at a specified frequency. Binaural beats use two different frequencies, one in each ear. Because the two frequencies are ALMOST the same, the brain will vibrate in sympathy with the DIFFERENCE between the two frequencies. Binaural beats will encourage synchronisation of the two hemispheres of the brain.
Try quietly whistling whilst listening to this - somehow it makes your whistle oscillate at the same speed as the binaural rhythm! Really, really strange.
@joshuamyler The lower in hz, the deeper into relaxation you get. Being so, gamma waves with a 40hz will keep you awake, and delta waves with 1-4hz will put you out. ;)
@SiressSanguinarian On a related note, I tried falling asleep to the frequency 0.9 hz, Which as you know, is pretty damm low, It was one of those full legnth tracks, I listened to 2 hours of it and my brain actually created a dream, within a dream, within a dream, "Yes like inception", To wake me up "Presumably because it wanted to go to theta, then to alpha, and back again" it was rather neat, when I woke up I felt drugged, You might know 0.1 hz is the hz when you are literally brain dead.
@Anarchyson1 That's also one of the reasons I use delta ranges when I go to sleep. I've had some wild dreams with them. I have never tried a range below 1, so perhaps I should put one together here shortly. Do you know if the track you listened to had spikes in its frequencies? I am always looking for suggestions to improve the tracks I compose.
@SiressSanguinarian No, it was a full legnth biaural beat, No isochromic beats, I guess it would have been fine to sleep with if it would have gone from delta, to theta, to alpha, and then beta for rem, But i'm not sure what the biaural beat for R.E.M sleep is so, It's kind of difficult to put my finger on it, Delta was good for about 2 hours but then my body forced me to wake up because it didn't want to be stuck at 0.9 it wanted to go back up to heal I suppose.
@Anarchyson1 Some think R.E.M. occurs in the theta stage, others in delta. I personally believe it happens more often in the delta stage, but I can't be certain since my R.E.M. cycles occur by day. I suppose it varies depending on your natural brainwaves, whether you're usually in beta or alpha stage more during the day.
