  • i was wondering what kind of plants and or coral, you have in there i am making my own sea horse tank and i am looking for ideas...

  • @telredwen

it looks like theres quite a lot of hard coral in there, if your not experienced with marine tanks stick with just soft coral. hard coral needs more magneseum, boron, strontium and iodine than soft coral. good luck :)

  • your aquarium is beautiful, i love sea horses their so pretty!

  • they will eat the fry if they aren't in the monogamous pair. Zippy chance these ponies are still alive.

  • is it hard to keep a pipefish

  • you have to keep the flow down for sea horse but with the ex turnal filter and sump i was planning to use would that be to much ofc ill yous slow flow return pump and restrict water flow to sump do you think that would be ok?

  • I change a smaller return pump to slow the flow, but you may need a strong cleaning snails or unplug the flow for around an hour and not over fee them to keep up the water quality

  • wow lovly tank man ! do you use a sump for your sea horse tank? and do you use a protin skimer?

  • Yes , I use both , they had been move to a 90 G tank with sump and skimer

  • @JuicyMedia, amazing tank! that's only your 1st seahorses tank? amazing! what do you use to feed your seahorses and pipefish? and your coral?

  • Nice! That's an awesome tank for your first saltwater!!! How much time and research did this take? I'm in the process of setting up my first saltwater. :) I bought a Biocube 29 and I'm trying to figure out what types of soft corals and other invertebrates to add in there. Fun stuff! Looks good!!

  • I was just wondering where you got your seahorses, my family keeps annoying me on that they are illegal to keep and are almost immpossible to raise.

  • i get them at my petstore called all pets club they have them they are striped seahorses that mine sells 80 dollars a pop. They arent hard it is just make ure the water is PERFECT before you put one in and make sure you ahve nothing that will it them

  • Why do seahorses have to stay in a saltwater tank? PLZ ANSWER ME ASAP .. its for a project

    PLZZ

  • um, because its a SW animal.

  • way 2 many sea horses!

  • pretty nice tank.

  • i think they're gorgonians....

  • hi!! amazing tank!! i have 2 questions: 1. Is that really your first tank (because aren't seahorses really hard to look after)? 2. How hard are the gorgonians to look after, especially in such as small tank?

  • It usually isn't hard. If you have had freshwater experience and you read up on them, it really isn't that bad. You just have to meet their requirements. :) It is an amazing tank isn't it? lol Hard to believe it's the first! I hope people say that about mine when I set it up. :)

  • holy crap! im watching this and all of a sudden this long ass stick looking thing pops out of nowhere!

  • Are you kidding>>> sounds are not required for there to be a successful seahorse tank, in fact I imagine that many of these are not alive any longer...

  • .... yes i was kidding.....

  • Is everything still alive?

  • are seahorses difficult to keep? where do you get yours?

  • you can keep percual clowns with seahorses but not another other types of clown as they are too aggressive

  • hey u must be good at this stuff :D nice tank

  • Nice tank, what kind of starfish is that?

  • Looks to be a red fromia starfish.

  • The starfish is called an Elegant Fromia Starfish.

  • Yes the waves sounds are required and they must be loud enough so that the Seahorses believe they are still in the Ocean. If that sound is not manipulated they often stress out very bad, and could die. It happened to one of mine during a power outage.

  • wow, hey thanks for the info. I did not know that that is really cool:)

  • how many gallon?

  • how many gallon?

  • sweet tank! very healthy umm i have the same coment as canadian fish kid how much did this all cost?? thanks

  • hey awesome tank (very healthy)

if you don`t mind how much did it cost to get this tank up and running?? also sweet dragonet!!

  • ooh i love gonioporas i have a super flourecent green one

  • is that a goniopra the lime green coral?

  • It's a Yellow Flowerpot

  • Yes! It's one kind of goniopora

  • what kind of fish is on the bottom at the 3 minute mark?

  • Thanks for watching.

It;s a Scooter Dragonet, a very nice fish for reef tank and best tank mate for SH.

  • can i put them with clown fishes?? i was planing to make a half reef tank this summer. but i dont really kno wat to do. can u help me??

  • Yes! Scooter Dragonet can be a good tank mate with clown fishes, but not seahorses.

You need to know what kind of fish that you want in your tank first than I can give you my suggestion.

  • the only thing really need to hav is 2 or 3 clown fishes....and i'm gonna hav a 55g tank

  • Wow that must look so pretty and especially with them being something slightly different than just a gold fish or something must look amazing!

  • your tank is beautiful, lovely colours, very nice.

  • Wow you're getting a 90 gallon tank??

  • that size is fine for these kinds of fish...as long as the filtration is good.
