newspring is awesome!! and who is anybody to judge how a church choses to worship God...I love God with my whole heart and he is my savior and I wouldn't trade going to this church for anything....just saying! No need to judge.....
If you are a christian, the holy spirit goes wherever you go. Even to a U2 concert. Or the liquor store. Or to your neighbor's to engage in a bit of gossip. Or on the internet to bash other christians for the way they minister to people. ;)
If one person can explain to me how this is not a complete and total worship song, then fine... but until then, stop criticizing them for playing songs like this. These people are WORSHIPPING... and it's being played the way it's writer intended. To worship. Do some research... U2 is not a "pagan" band.
this was...magnifiicent! i love this song and have pondered even doing it in my own church. only problem is it likely wouldn't be allowed because it's seen as a secular song. when i hear this song God's love is further impressed upon my heart. bono knows how to write and i love that he infuses his relationship with our Creator into his music. these guys are amazing...i'm glad i discovered new spring church and lee mcderment.
When you play a secular song during a service and someone heres that song after the service it takes them back to that service and the other things they saw and heard that day.
the same can be said vise versa where hearing pagan music can bring people back to the place they came from. have you checked out "a thing called love" by the darkness they did at this church? I'm sorry it does not fit in with God no matter how they do it.

The Holy Spirit is not present at u2 concerts and not in these events. Newspring is all about money.
