I'm not an expert in mechanics, but when using the tap (or whatever you called that tool), shouldn't you take a halfway turn counter-clockwise for every clockwise turn, or something? I heard that if you're just going straight in (like it looks like you did) it will break pretty quick. I remember a guy in my class who did that.
But I might be wrong. Was just on my mind, so don't stab me with a knife or something
@k3bab it is aluminum - its very soft. Also, i did some editing so you dont see the full operation. I do back off an go back in a few times but its only 1/4" and soft so its not that hard to do.

teflon tape every fitting,, no need to "beefcake" tighten them,, NPT fittings threads get slightly larger as they're threaded,, check for leaks using a spray bottle with soapy water,, and with those valves i would recommend running a hose for your compressor air intake somewhere into the cab of the truck where it wont suck dust and dirt in,, even with filters,they're prone to getting dirty inside and dirty valves "stick", and are no fun to clean, especially when ther're undernieth the truck.

I would be a bit leary of cutting the rear bodu support piece out as you did as this protects the gas tank in a rear end collision and then where the block was mounted with the wiring couldnt do that where it snows alot salt and ice would eat that in a few weeks .Youd have to make an enclosure or mount it inside the vehilce in the quarter panel then drill a line out with grommets or it would be a buncg of frozen rust lol...

No, you set ur ride height and then send it to an alignment shop, unless u really fuck it up u shouldn't fuck ur tires up. The red box some correct me please, but it looks like a distribution block.The cylinders on the side are all soleniods for ride height/front to back, side to side and what not.

8 screws on a tank that weighs about 1lb, 2 at the most, is fine. Plus, i used the black RTV to help out just in case - trust me its not going anywhere. Thanks for your concern though.

thanks man! this wasnt meant to drag, its a self leveling double adjustable, automatic (and manual) air ride suspension. Even if i did drag it, the tank wouldnt be the first thing to hit the ground - probably the batt rack if anything and that would be equally as bad LOL!
i didnt cut the body structure i cut part of the frame and that part was replaced with another part that was welded in. I shouldnt have to explain, you should have to pay attention before you comment.

actually i said "your gonna want to use stainless" but it sounds like i said your not gonna want to use it.....but yes, dissimilar metals will cause galvanic corrosion or "electrolysis". Stainless is ok with aluminum though.

Since he just took out a big piece of metal that is an integral part of the crash system, and replaced it with airspace, then when someone smashes into his rear bumper, all the forces from the impact transfers directly into the truck instead of being absorbed by the bumper.

No, you set ur ride height and then send it to an alignment shop, unless u really fuck it up u shouldn't fuck ur tires up. The red box some correct me please, but it looks like a distribution block.The cylinders on the side are all soleniods for ride height/front to back, side to side and what not.

8 screws on a tank that weighs about 1lb, 2 at the most, is fine. Plus, i used the black RTV to help out just in case - trust me its not going anywhere. Thanks for your concern though.

thanks man! this wasnt meant to drag, its a self leveling double adjustable, automatic (and manual) air ride suspension. Even if i did drag it, the tank wouldnt be the first thing to hit the ground - probably the batt rack if anything and that would be equally as bad LOL!

i didnt cut the body structure i cut part of the frame and that part was replaced with another part that was welded in. I shouldnt have to explain, you should have to pay attention before you comment.

You know, if you need more room for stuff, there's a big compartment up front under the hood. Oh sure, you might have to cut out and throw away some more "metal". For example, there's a big engine-shaped thingy in there that you probably don't need. Grab that sawzall!

actually i said "your gonna want to use stainless" but it sounds like i said your not gonna want to use it.....but yes, dissimilar metals will cause galvanic corrosion or "electrolysis". Stainless is ok with aluminum though.
