This is a common technique to overwhelm the witness. Had he been really quick on his feet he would have opened a book and asked to be shown the answer.

There is a ton of literature demonstrating how moral behavior is not only possible via evolution, but also essential for human evolution. Also, there are elements of human morality which are irreconcilable with it being implanted in us by a supreme being. For one, our tendency to act altruistically is contingent on evolutionary derived boundaries (e.g., ingroup/outgroup, proximity and temporal distinctions). Why would God make humans less capable of morality in these instances?
Furthermore, if morality is a constant implanted by God, one would expect similar moral codes across societies -- especially across Christian societies. However, we do not witness this. This massive amount of societal variation demonstrates how much of morality is socially constructed. And what parts of morality are constant can be attributed to evolutionary advantages needed for early human kin groups to survive.

@NephilimFree Evolution does have an origin for morality, since other animals have morals as well. It is a social mechanism, which would have aided those populations and tribes of animals survive better when they had to share with and protect those outside their own immediate DNA lineage.
We have skulls of early hominids where there were no teeth, but the individuals lived years, sometimes decades, after the last tooth was gone. Some skeletons have broken bones that healed. And so forth.

It's amazing that people can claim to have the highest standards of truthfulness and integrity and yet still maintain that an answer like "it's not that they're not good enough" means they're not good enough. Behe was clearly rejecting the claim that the books and articles were just "not good enough" and so it's impossible to force these words into his mouth in good faith. Whatever else happens to be true or false is irrelevant here, this particular criticism of Behe is off the mark.

BTW, What are AronRa's credentials? I've heard both sides of the Kent Hovind story and I'm not sure what to make of it, so my position stays neutral. However I know he, like Ken Ham presents the evidence of scientist. I am reasonably sure, based on the footnotes on AIG, that Ken Ham's organization uses qualified scientist. The point is that unless AronRa has less credentials than one of their cited scientist then by your standards he is underachieving with little credentials.
And other videos and follow-ups show his education being in the University of Dallas in Paleontology. Additionally, you can probably ask AronRa yourself, it's no secret what his credentials are.
Compare this to Ken Hovind with his ridiculous PhD. in the fake christian university and it's easy to see why creationists of similar level to Hovind, and consequentially the organizations that back them up, are easy to discredit.

I called him on the same thing you did concerning the books, except I pointed out to him that his claim was that "even though a stack of books were presented to him talking about the evolutionary development of the blood clouting system" was misleading because none of these books actually explained how the blood clouting system evolved. I was raised a Christian. It was not until I became an adult and started trying to figure the world out for myself that I found that science had the answers that Christianity only offered faith and speculation for support.
All AronRa is asking you to do is to look at the facts. Stop listening to what people tell you has to be looked at through faith. Make your own mind up objectively. Actually research and study both sides and learn.

You see if you were to watch all of AronRa's videos you would notice that he consistently refers to "professional creationists" But you are right in this video he mistakenly left the word professional out. It is a typo. An opps if you may. You see people who do public speaking, of which youtube is a form,
tend to make the same speech's numerous times. Therefore their is a chance of such a mistake. It is necessary in these instances to look back on the previous statements that have been made by that individual and see if that statement coincides to their other works.
It is my belief that if we were to show that level of consideration to all public speakers then the world would be a much more understanding place.
If you notice AronRa has had to go back on several occasions and defend statements that have been taken out of context from many scientists including Darwin.

This is a common technique to overwhelm the witness. Had he been really quick on his feet he would have opened a book and asked to be shown the answer.

The most telling thing about the Behe incident is how for some reason the attorney who piled up those bboks in front of him never took one of them and pointed out to Behe where he was wrong ! He had at his disposal all the so-called experts to back him up and yet did not do that ! and Behe's attorney also blew it by not pointing it out the oppositions failure to do so.
It's little wonder why the DI wanted their own attorneys which the attorneys for the defense would not permit.

There is a ton of literature demonstrating how moral behavior is not only possible via evolution, but also essential for human evolution. Also, there are elements of human morality which are irreconcilable with it being implanted in us by a supreme being. For one, our tendency to act altruistically is contingent on evolutionary derived boundaries (e.g., ingroup/outgroup, proximity and temporal distinctions). Why would God make humans less capable of morality in these instances?

This massive amount of societal variation demonstrates how much of morality is socially constructed. @NephilimFree Evolution does have an origin for morality, since other animals have morals as well. It is a social mechanism, which would have aided those populations and tribes of animals survive better when they had to share with and protect those outside their own immediate DNA lineage.
We have skulls of early hominids where there were no teeth, but the individuals lived years, sometimes decades, after the last tooth was gone. Some skeletons have broken bones that healed. And so forth.

It's amazing that people can claim to have the highest standards of truthfulness and integrity and yet still maintain that an answer like "it's not that they're not good enough" means they're not good enough. Behe was clearly rejecting the claim that the books and articles were just "not good enough" and so it's impossible to force these words into his mouth in good faith. BTW, What are AronRa's credentials? I've heard both sides of the Kent Hovind story and I'm not sure what to make of it, so my position stays neutral. However I know he, like Ken Ham presents the evidence of scientist. I am reasonably sure, based on the footnotes on AIG, that Ken Ham's organization uses qualified scientist. The point is that unless AronRa has less credentials than one of their cited scientist then by your standards he is underachieving with little credentials.

I called him on the same thing you did concerning the books, except I pointed out to him that his claim was that "even though a stack of books were presented to him talking about the evolutionary development of the blood clouting system" was misleading because none of these books actually explained how the blood clouting system evolved. You will never prove intelligent Design by poking holes in Evolution or by proving that some scientists made a mistake or misspoke, you need to prove Intelligent design by demonstrating how life arrived by design?

So just gonna throw this out there...see what kind of arguments I can generate.
Two Laws of Physics...laws mind you. The first and second law of thermodynamics. The first says matter cannot be created or destroyed, only changed. The second says that everything moves towards a state of chaos. These are established laws that science has been able to prove. Evolution shows everything moved from a state of chaos to equillibrium....which is kinda contradictory, isn't it? Just a thought.

Things should not have been moving together....cells joining, ameobas changing into other forms of life, etc, if the 2nd law has stood firm since the beginning, be it Big Bang or Creation. So I am confused. This dosen't seem to work for me, so if someone can clarify that would be great.

As i go back and forth between the vids put forth by the types like AronRa and Thundfoot as well as other "Atheists" and then look at the people on you tube that have so much to say against them. I can not help but notice a trend.
AronRa and the others that support evolution are predominantly adults. How have degrees and are educated.
The few adults that speak out against him are not very educated or eloquent and the rest are teenagers who still exude the teachings of their parents.

Maybe we should all just take a step back. Let us look impartially at both sides of this equation and see what the facts have to show.
Evolutionists have haves in the form of fossil records and about 15 scientific fields of study to support their theory.
Creationists keep getting shot down because all they say is "It's in the Bible".
Come on. If you look at this objectively. You have a mountain of evidence "evolution". vs A book. One book that history shows proof is flawed.

I was raised a Christian. It was not until I became an adult and started trying to figure the world out for myself that I found that science had the answers that Christianity only offered faith and speculation for support.
All AronRa is asking you to do is to look at the facts. Stop listening to what people tell you has to be looked at through faith. Make your own mind up objectively. Actually research and study both sides and learn.

I agree: A person can spread false information without malice. I used to believe that the Face of Sydonia was an actual sculpture, and I even wrote about it in elementary school. It didn't make me a liar because I actually believed it, but I was effectively spreading false information.
AronRa has said that what he calls "professional creationists" are the ones that spread false information knowing that it is false. Watch his video response.

Well, I am not AronRa's dad, so I will not be defending him.
But I will defend reason. You see, to remain a creationist one must avoid all honest investigation. Professional creationists know that they are deceivers, and they are actually liars. People like you probably believe in all honesty, but you do not investigate honestly and with an open mind.
I ceased to believe in the Face of Cydonia when I started investigating the evidence without clinging to my preconception.

You see if you were to watch all of AronRa's videos you would notice that he consistently refers to "professional creationists" But you are right in this video he mistakenly left the word professional out. It is a typo. An opps if you may. You see people who do public speaking, of which youtube is a form,

tend to make the same speech's numerous times. Therefore their is a chance of such a mistake. It is necessary in these instances to look back on the previous statements that have been made by that individual and see if that statement coincides to their other works.
It is my belief that if we were to show that level of consideration to all public speakers then the world would be a much more understanding place.

If you notice AronRa has had to go back on several occasions and defend statements that have been taken out of context from many scientists including Darwin.
This is what gives face to argument that "creationists are liars".
Defend your beliefs. Prove your Beliefs.
But do not do it by stooping to the point of misrepresentation or intentionally taking statements out of context.
If your position is true and right then you should have no reason to use these tactics.

Now, in wake of your explination, I can understand where you take issue with us saying he is "dishonest".
