    its face........is like -__-

  • Why does mating in albatross last a longer time than in most other bird species?

  • hahah, soo beatiful yet i was on my back laughing at him just watching them do their business, its like, wheres the privacy

  • /watch?v=ifJi9b2YC8I real animal romance xD

  • Es una preciosidad. Gracias.

  • Beautiful! Absolutely beautiful. To see these animals in this natural element as they court one another I cannot fathom why anyone person wouldn't do their all to nurture and protect our beautiful earth. How exactly could greed exist if those responsible had witnessed something so divine? If heartlessness tells some it is far better to have money than life, these humans should be revoked their lives! Where are we if not able to honour life by eliminating those who work to harm it? HELL!!

  • Cool moves man id do you

  • I like it how it pans out and you see Attenborough standing right next to them while they are getting it on.

  • I just saw an ad that said "People mating with animals 1000s of products"

    #LOL

  • Damn it, how can I get laid if I can't master those dance moves?

  • ha ha we watched this in my bio class! No one could keep a straight face, not even my teacher!

  • "How was it for you?"

  • were is this?

  • lol, at 1:12 it's like she's staring dreamily at him saying "omg you beak swordfighted so well. you're everything i ever wanted and MORE! take me! mount me like a stallion!"

  • and then of course his reply at 1:24 of "alright sexytime! :D"

  • aw, they look so cute :D

  • 0:38 = rock paper scissors

  • this ... is totally strange euwwww

  • Ehehehehehehe, that must be mood breaking.

I didn't expect him to be sitting there talking on the rock. XD

  • great vid

    funny video lets chat 3g

  • Mutual affection is the best explanation of their behavior. These birds know nothing of genetic investments. A bird does't think: "Gee, if I abandon my mate, our chick will die and I won't pass on my genes." It's simply following its instincts. It's driven to be faithful to its mate and nest, without knowing anything about biology. When the same drive awakens in the human mind, we call it love. Scientists are always trying to avoid interpreting animal behavior in human terms, but it's a mistake.

  • albatrocycle: Animals have no capacity to love? How naive are you? Haven't you ever had a dog or cat?

  • @OonaCanute or a cockatoo???

  • These birds do not have penises. They have an opening where sperm is secreted and they genitally "kiss" their partner.

    Love comes in many forms.

  • lol watever

  • Your the one thats naive. Humans are always in animal habitat thats why they get attacked a lot.

  • "Your the one thats naive. Humans are always in animal habitat thats why they get attacked a lot."

So what? The reason there are albatross there in the first place is that they outcompete and displaced other species.

Life isn't supposed to be anything; living things aren't owed anything. Living things are mere survival machines; we just happen to play the game better than albatross.

  • You ought not write terrible things like that on a video from Attenborough. He said, we have no moral right to kill a species. And he is right.

  • If we are so superior then let's just kill off every plant and and animal on Earth. We'll see how well our own species will be surviving then.

  • Humans are not meant to be in the Galapagos. Its supposed to be Animal country..but humans have invaded it.

  • 'meant to be' ? 'Supposed to be' ? How naive are you?

  • Humans invade every sacred place. And quickly destroy the habitat, humans are a planetary virus that will eventually eradicate all valuable ecosystems and animals that live in that habitat. I agree with you about Galapagos, those islands should be left alone. Isn't there ENOUGH humans on this planet already? When will we stop growing.

  • I'm sick of all this hippy verbal nonsense you so adequately hammer into our brains. If you hadn't noticed we're part of earth to, we didn't come here randomly and just plant our ass into an 'animal country'. Your statement is so emo, it makes me sick. Every species, race, whatever fights for its survival and if that means eating something lower on the food train, so be it this verbal diarrhea of yours and other fellow hippies really pisses me off. What do you want us to do? kill ourselves?

  • I don't think they're saying that it's our responsability as homo sapiens to kill off others, or to cut ourselves down, but the way I see it it's just something that has happened, and as moral and conscious creatures we have both destroyed a lot of whe surrounding world and realised this.

Now there's two options that lie ahead for us, as we are conscious of the problem of overpopulation:

  • (...continued)

    Either we ignore it, and keep wiping out the species of animals and birds around us, so that we may be able to survive for a short term, at this stage perhaps until our grandchildren or great grandchilren;

Or we begin to think in other ways, of how we have arrived at this point and if there is anything we can do about it in this late stage.

  • (...continued, part three)

With this option, we're not saying "kill out all the poorer people", or "completely stop creating new life", because as living beings we would feel completely useless, but we need to begin thinking long term if we as a species and a world want to survive.

  • Yeah right, it's either "kill of the entire human race" or "continue destroying nature without boundaries". I'm sure there are NO other options. Also, food "train"?

  • When i saw thins things i think the human its not unic species whos can make the love whit sweetnes. we saw here the animal beauty criatures its more beautiful than we though. but always the human nature think its the unic animal can be most smartest than other animal and its not true this is a probe that te nature this is more better than we are. i hope you considered all this stuffs for all the rest human enviroment

  • that's pretty much how I dance with my girlfriend

  • Beautiful video

  • Albatross: CAN WE HAVE SOME PRIVACY?!?!

  • hahah they're so adorable and beautiful at the same time

I love the mating dance thing, it's really sweet and complicated.

  • You guys start to piss us off with those stupid angel things and the stupid paste this 3-5 times...Fuc* You all!

  • I agree. I find these threat round letters very counterproductive.

  • Agreed :)

  • aww so cute

  • I wanna albatross, until it would find me suitable for eye pluckin'!

  • 2 seconds in and i couldnt stop laughing

  • This is soo freaking dumb!!!!XD

  • wasn't this on GALAPAGOS on the National Geographic Channel?

  • yeah, and in HD, woot!

  • sweet albatross lovin'

  • fucking albatrosses!

  • a little random but cool i love birds ^^

  • If you like albatrosses, eat less fish - they're threatened by long-lining fishing fleets. If you've got a cat, don't buy tuna-based food (a third of the world's tuna catch goes to cats).

  • I guess I hate them then. I'll eat as much fish as I want to damn it.

  • Aw, you're lovely - the planet is a better place for having you here.

  • HAHAHAH

  • god i love this guy. there was one they made us watch in school long time ago when i was in 6 grade on plants. -.- and he was explaioning some plant and how if u touch it, it will make ur skin puffy. so he touches it. then ever so normally says "ouch". just as simple as that. the way he said it tho. was hilarious.

  • Top rating to these bird videos they are great!

  • I love how he gets all right up in the animals' business in like every video but they never seem to notice. I love you David Attenborough!

  • i will miss Attenborough when the newer docs start up and he has retired. we all loved growing up with his voice and documentaries.

  • Can you believe David Attenborough is only going to make one more series. What will we do without him?

  • Wow! I never knew albatrosses were so pretty, and so complex! Thank you!

  • nice docu, but why is he interrupting the birds while they have sex? lol

  • How similar we are to the albatross!

  • Attenborough is the best.the most magnificent documentaries you will ever lay your eyes on.

  • they look almost like puppets, thats so odd. SamandJim would like to make a video about albatross now.

i suppose we could doctor our seagull one lol
