the flicking note is played by playing na on the tabla but also keeping down your middle finger on the black part. If you play na hard enough, you will hear that same clicking noise.

Refering back to the individual with the comment about the sound not being not decent......the smaller tabla i.e. Chathoo is a larger circumfrence so its gonna have a deeper tone.....that is reason for it sounding like tunn rather than tin.......clearly the sound is of good quality its not the tablas quality the tabla is fine.......great job though

I don't think the tabla sounds bad at all. The recording set up is probably the cause of any "bad sounds" you're hearing. Anyone that can play this well can make even the lousiest made tabla sounds great.
