@GunnerSlave there were quite a number in aussie rugby tour packages taking up the front rows (my guess). you're right about the lack of atmosphere, very little coverage in the local chinese press, and it didn't feel that rugby-mad outside the usual expat hotspots. crowd was only around 27000 (capacity abt 38000) but maybe that was because the bledisloe match two years earlier (which was nearly full) lacked that cut-throat atmosphere (i was there too). but hey, look what they missed this time!

Great perspective to an awesome match. Loved seeing those repeated "red-zone" penalties that the All Blacks are famous for from so close. How many head high tackles can you have in 5 minutes!! I reckon the Wallabies' quick taps kept 4 All Blacks on the pitch by full time.

Good game, rusty from NZL, but Australia deserved to win. The Welsh are already say Australia are the team to beat,lol. No doubt as per the media when NZL come upto N Hemisphere will say NZ have had there day again, is only 1 loss out of 16, we needed a loss in my eyes to stop any complacancy stepping in. Tactically NZ was flawed in this match, trying to run from 22 was major major incorrect, sore it last year, ended in disaster. Oh and drop Stephen Donald, dunno wtf he is still in the ABs.
