I think people should really rethink their politics. As of late I've been disgusted to admit I'm Canadian with the way our country has been led. Where I live its 80% Conservative vote...my city has been completely wasting its time on gaining economic growth. @Erivah sorry; but, you are wrong! I am fully aware of how our gov't works; however, people vote for personalities. The majority vote for the PM via their local representatives. Hence the outrage when an MP changes parties between elections. There is the theoretical and the practical--I always go with the practical (reality).
Canadian are sick of these liberal back room deals in creating the Socialist/Separatist Coalitition last year. Silly games like these have to stop!

I think people should really rethink their politics. As of late I've been disgusted to admit I'm Canadian with the way our country has been led. Where I live its 80% Conservative vote...my city has been completely wasting its time on gaining economic growth. Virtually untouched by the recent recession, we are the murder capital of North America, our roads are terrible, are police corrupt and aggressive, and a very boring, dull, Education system, failing our youth yearly. Limduul--to be more clear (surprising any Cdn would ask about this since it was a major shame internationally to our country) I am referring to the recent lie-beral corruption scandal where a little inquiry found lies, thief, bribes, etc, etc by the lie-berals. If still unclear check Goggle under keywords or phases, liberal party of Canada, corruption, Chretien, Martin, kicked out of office in shame by Canadians, etc.

Two points I'd liek to reply on. 1 is that my local government is the only reason why my province was virtually untouched by this recent economic recession. I am lucky and blessed to live in an almost Socialist Democracy in my Province.
