@insurgentdude but really though, the X5 and X3 both perform well offroad. Trust me, my family has owned more than enough of both to know. the term "proper 4X4" doesn't make sense. it's either 4X4 or not.

@knightsofkhazard well it depends of the scale of "offroad" we are speaking of. if its greenlaning then yes an x3, x5 or even those 4x4 estate cars would make it through. However if its the real hardcore offroading like mudding, rock crawling and trialing then i think some of the cars in this video would struggle including the X3's and x5's. The only sock vehicles i personally have seen succeed are the land rover defender, lada niva, hummer h1 and the land cruiser. all others failed.
