The problem is Dameon, that we have already been through a 'shock value' period with the Attitude Era. It got to a point where nothing was shocking to the wrestling fan anymore. It had all been done. That's why WWE changed it's product to what it is now. It could no longer 'shock' people into watching the next episode of Raw because people had become immune to all the shocking situations. Instead, they relaunched their product to cater to a fanbase that will eat up everything they do: kids.
Exactly. They had to go back to 80's style but with modern storylines. Blended old with new in a way. I bet 5-8 years from now they will be TV14 again as this current demographic grows up. By then it will be new again. Its cyclical.

Sorry YouTulBeSucks, but that wasn't what I was saying at all. In fact, you missed the point entirely. I'm an adult and I still watch wrestling every week.
Dameon didn't bring up any valid points from what I seen. Nothing that will change the business anyway. He basically shitted on WWE and plugged TNA as he always does.

That isn't my logic at all. I already explained my logic when I was commenting towards someone else. My logic is be a fan 1st, critic last. All most fans do is cry and whine about how wrestling is but not one of you (Even the PWR guys) are lifting a finger to do a damn thing.
Even homeless people have an option. Just because you don't see them turn down a sandwich, doesn't mean they won't.
But yeah, I have no problem with what's on with Wrestling so I'll keep watching and not cry, unlike you.
Please stop referring to wwe programming other than SMACK DOWN as wrestling which it clearly is not and is dumbed down entertainment, if even that.
Sorry I Watch real wrestling TNA ,ROH the original ECW classics before Vince watered it down so it would not eclipse his flagship show, which at this moment is garbage.
But, if you like garbage who am i to tell you differently just have respect for other peoples opinions and not wine like a bitch(To take a page out of your book)
ALL wrestling is REAL wrestling. When you watch TNA, ROH, WWE, ECW, WCW, etc... what are you watching? Wrestlers wrestling. Granted there's promos and backstage segments, but that isn't the whole show (Unless you watched TNA in the past).
I see you are nothing more than the typical sheep of wrestling. Bash on it when you can but still watch. If it isn't wrestling, why are you still watching and putting it in the same category as wrestling? Stop contradicting yourself and think before you text.
You are really vices sheep dance to the cadence of society's expectations and making assumptions without knowledge.Or you would of known i was watching TNA since the beginning when KEN SHAMROCK won the TNA world heavy weight title who was a real shoot fighter in the first UFC and a WWE super star in attitude era .Only sheep follow without asking questions essentially dumb animals that need to be led and Vince is your Shepard.
I know what sheep do, hence me labeling you as one. It does not matter how long you have been watching a certain company. Wrestling is wrestling. I've been watching WWE since I was 7, what does that mean? Nothing. I know all about Ken Shamrock and the foundations of TNA. I don't need you reiterating it to me.
You obviously didn't comprehend what I meant about you being a sheep. I'll try once more. You are basically following the same thing everyone else is saying just to be with the "in crowd".
Meaning, if a group of people say WWE sucks, you'll agree without even knowing why. Just because everyone else is doing it.
It's funny how you say Vince is my shepard when you watch WWE programming just like I do. By that logic, wouldn't he be your shepard too? You are contradicting yourself for the 3rd time. Give it up.
In the end, if you aren't going to apart of the solution, don't be apart of the problem. If you don't like what your watching, stop crying and watch something else. Simple!
3)For 5 years now the new talent on the show are put down and not allowed to develop up to a main decent event.
4)The story line has become bland that they have to promote entertainers keep viewers interested thus detracting from the actual wrestling matches themselves
ect.
i have more points but limited space and time and knowing you will twist and manipulate my comments to suite your own conclusion to justify your frivolous arguments so there is no point if you don't listen
Youtube didn't catch your 1st and 2nd reasons. I'm going to assume you were referring to WWE with #3. I could've sworn in the last 5 yrs, they pushed the likes of Edge, Randy Orton, Batista, CM Punk, Jeff and Matt Hardy, Mark Henry, John Morrison and others. Did they all not at one point hold a world title? So your 3rd reason was a fail.
As for reason #4, Both WWE & TNA have bland and repetitive story lines now. To say one is more pointless than the other then continue to watch is ridiculous.
For the record, I haven't twisted or manipulated anything you said. I simply pointed out your contradictions. It's not my fault you ignore the obvious in a feeble attempt to prove a point. If you come with better logical explanations, you wouldn't have this problem.
That saying "being on board" really applies to adults more than kids. As adults, we are already "lifers" We'll watch regardless. Kids on the other hand don't have to watch but are pleased with what they watch. They'll eventually become lifers if WWE stays on track.
Most smart marks don't even know what they want but they'll be the 1st to complain about how bad the product is and how they should change it. That's idiotic on the highest level.
I havent watched regularly since 2003. Ill catch a show every now and then but really have no interest at all in wrestling other then watching old school matches on this site. I think u over estimate how many "lifers" are out there. And really if the WWE was just changing with the times, it would still be just as popular. Why would the ratings take such a drastic hit. And there are plenty of smart marks that know what they want. And I don't see how voicing your opinion is idiotic.
Whether you watch frequently or not, you still come back. That's what I meant about "lifers". Just like if you weren't a lifer, you wouldn't have watched this vid let alone respond on the comment(s) below.
WWE is changing with the times, just on a newer, younger audience. I don't understand this "drastic ratings hit" people keep bringing up. Unless your comparing their ratings to the kind they had 10 yrs ago, then yeah. Other than that, their ratings are pretty high.
Yes, there are smart marks that do know what they want. I wouldn't say plenty, but they do exist. There needs to be more if voices want to be heard. Not just the kind that goes with the company of their choosing neither. Voicing an opinion can be idiotic if there's no solid foundation behind it. If I said Goldust is the greatest wrestler ever without explaining why, All hell would break loose. It's one thing to voice an opinion, but if there's no substance behind it, it's idiotic imo.
If you recall, The most shocking thing that the WWE has done recently was Donald Trump buying Raw. People don't like to admit it but the ratings don't lie. It was unexpected and gave you that "shock value" you thought the company was lacking.
While I'm on the topic of "Shock Value", It's very hard to give wrestling "fans" shock value when you have the internet. You can look up the latest rumors, spoilers, etc. in an instant so it doesn't surprise you when you know it's going to happen.
Let's just say hypothetically speaking, Dameon is 25 now. The attitude era started about 12 yrs ago. That would mean Dameon is about 13 going on 14 at the earliest. Everything was more hip then because it stayed with what was current. WWE is the same way today. They are appealing to the kids of tomorrow just like they did when we were younger. The business evolves and that's just the way it is. The attitude era will NEVER return.
As far as wrestling having "edge", WWE still has a lot of it.
If WWE is still doin whats hip, why are the ratings down. When I was younger, I wanted to be like the older kids. They dictated what was cool. The WWE can go for whatever demographic they want but appealing to the older fans pleased a wider variety of fans and not just the younger kids. It makes no sense to aim at the younger kids. Why aim a product at consumer that will eventually grow out of it. And whatever edge you're talking about, I didn't see it tonight on Raw thats for sure.
I expected this from Dameon. Notice how he never said anything bad about TNA through the whole topic. Like TNA never makes mistakes or isn't as stale as WWE.
Like someone else said on the comment board, it's not 1997 anymore. Stop living in the past. Dameon always contradicting himself. One moment he's talking about how everyone should appreciate wrestling for what it is. The next moment, he's saying it lost it's edge.
200th episode of Impact sucked and they killed the main event. Be real.
as much as i like this show, wrestling fans are typically divided into diffrent crowds. either your crazy for the days of the additude era, the golden days(before the birth of the additude) or those who grow with the product. i dunno which one i belong in, but i don't agree with nelson, tna has a few moments, but hardly got me excited, jumping out of my seat, nor intrested to the point i'll watch religously. while wwe product is kinda at a stalemate,i enjoy the overall product in the longer view
i didnt think the morrison vs jeff was great it was good but not great but the cm punk heel turn was great and the most shocking was jeff doing a swaton bomb at 30 foot high on orton or orton punting vince mc mahon
honestly i didnt mind the randy orton taking out all the mcmahons, especially when he did the ddt on steph then kissed her. aside from that iam hard pressed to remember anything but the attitde era i can tell u what happened on heat hahaha
I think there is a lot of money to be made in the wrestling business for any rich man wanting to be a promoter, knows the wrestling business to an extent and most of all is willing to listen to what the fans have to say. Because neither the WWE or TNA do that. If there was a rich man who wanted to become a promoter, studied the strengths and faults of past and current promotions and knew what he was doing, he could really make a lot of money.
Guess what TN Dameon, its not 1997 anymore. B you really gotta see what's really going on now. The people at the WWE took the time to stop and think and decided focusing on the talent and overall wrestling. I see what you're trying to do here. "Hey Attitude Era cry babies, watch TNA".
i had the same thoughts running thru my mind after i watched the latest shows of TNA and SD (via online stream, sry.. well in germany it's like a ppv only on the normal shows -.-)
well anyways, the WWE is very predictable since... uh.. probably the last 4-5 years? honestly i only have to watch any match for like a minute and i know who's gonna win.
havent got the that feeling when i watching TNA shows tho.
Yeah, your right it's lost it's edge. But do you think so because IWC now, I mean maybe some people can't get attached like they use to because they are smarter about the business now. I mean does anyone feel the same way?
WWE is turning into a sideshow. The product is laughable puting up special GMs on Raw and not giving the audience anything new. The company is losing talent or cant use talent in the right way. I feel WWE is going through the motions. Maybe something big will be on the horizon but remains to be seen.
the lastest shock 4 me was joe joining the MEM i didnt see that coming
i also like what the MEM is doing putting forward like the NWO was in WCW the peices r all there u got angle who is hogan u got lashly who will be lugur and AJ styles as DDP. sting is sting and nash is nash but i think that is working and hope the MEM stays on because it can work and take TNA up with it
The most recent thing in the wrestling industry that literally shocked me was when WWE released Ken Anderson. I had heard several rumblings and rumors but that honestly shocked me.
Yes, I agree with you. TNA has the opportunity to be the true alternative like it was back in 05/06. But until nthey can score higher ratings without the help of this MEM crap we will never see it. I eman the X Division is what seperated TNA from the WWE. But look at it now, it's on life support. I say for TNA to step up they must include the X Divison back to it's glory days. But again, that's just my opinion. It was that division that got me to be a huge TNA fan... even a mark at times!
Serously there is really no way for TNA to be SHOCKING in todays wrestling world, when you have a taped product. What made both WCW and WWF shocking was the fact that you didnt know what was going to happen, it was a live show. So i really dont see how TNA can shock us unless they start doing live impacts. Just my opinion
Alright, that was cool, something different. I like the analysis of it all, but how much can you dissect wrestling? I look forward to what you have to offer.
TNA I say no, if they can pull offf a good PPV it's very good (I'm thinking of this year's Sacrifice and Slamboree's, in particular..
Their show, however is almost always predictable, scores of promos that aren't really needed, however when they actually finally get down to wrestling, it's generally pretty good.
(I'm probably one of the few who'll be honest in saying I'm a fan of both companies, and been a wrestling fan since the early 80's)
wrestling hasnt been good since 2002. it started to lose its edge however after wrestlemania x7. since then its been on a slow but sure downward spiral.
i mean both companys have guys that can wrestle and theres a decent match here and there... but they have 0 personality 0 charisma... i just dont care for them as talented as some of them are i could careless about them... which wrestling returned to being a sport as far as its packaged and given to us
i agree wrestling is so stale characters are so boring that ive started watching raw from 96 again and every wwf ppv since then into 07 and today it is still more engaging than this bullshit and its not just wwe wrestling in general sucks now adays.... maybe it doesnt appeal to my generation any more but theres so much lacking in wrestling
Good issue, but something everyone discusses. I would like to see you tackle issues that many do not have authority on (Can't think of any at the moment), and to see you use your experience and expert analysis!
i think that the edge was gone when fans started to get more personal with the wrestlers, in that we know the real them, and not just what we see on t.v, there's no more surprises as u said. everything is out in the open. e.g, the undertaker, his real name his Mark Calaway, and cuz of that fact, he kinda loses his edge. it was so much better when i know him only as the undertaker, the demon from death valley....but that's just my opinion....
See, I can't think of much, I think back when Jeff did the swanton on Orton from that really really high thing, but then again, it's jeff hardy, It didn't shock me at all, I think Kurt Angles departure REALLY shocked me when he left WWE. CM punk beating Edge for the title after batista beat him up maybe? TNA has the most edge right now, you just can't top it. It's the closest thing to the attitude era we will ever get again, Enjoy it while you still have it.
we all love to hate abour wrestling but i saw a few kids in my family the other day and they love it all wearing speical wwe shirts, another time i went to pakistain and they are hudge wwe fans also probaly coz they still think its real
why do we still talk about wrestling! i mean like observe it and talk about how its change for the wrong. look to the archives and 20 min of there program is about not about wrestling now but they just talk about how it sucks! fuck just talk about what happen in smackdown , raw ecw tna,. fuck NOONE CARES, STOP STARTING FLAME WARS YOU GUYS ARE HYPROCRTIRES!
I couldn't agree more Dameon i have been watching PWR for a long time and im a huge fan of your show wrestling was best in the 90s wrestling has lost its edge and its just in a big slump right now. The last time i marked out was WM25 for Shawn Michaels vs Undertaker.
I wrote an article called whats wrong with wrestling in 2009. The short answer us(long time fans). Because we have seen it all, spots, matches ect. It's like xmas the older you get the more you have apathy for it. Now dude wwe has just gone back to its old formula before the wars. And look man the wars are dead attitude is dead. We long due a golden era but dont hold your breath. And new fans may think nothing is wrong at all. Is TNA the answer? It's not a time machine. Good post D
well tna tries to put some edge to its content with its harsh promos and violent beat downs, etc.
the only hint of edge i see in WWE is the seemingly random blood on Jeff Hardy's forehead on smackdown last week.(i may be wrong but i CLEARLY saw blood and i think it was real because he covered it the rest of the time.
I believe that either TNA or WWE can bring back "the edge" that you speak of, Dameon. TNA is certainly better position to do so but lacks the guts to pull the trigger. Jeff's old TNA was based on talent and Dixie's TNA is following the footsteps of WCW. The most noticeable distinction between the two phases was AJ being downgraded back to the X Division once the company got their TV deal. Why not give the title back to him? He's the most over guy at the live shows and tours abroad.
This video is such a waste of time. All Damian is doing is complaining about the SAME THING that every wrestling fan on the Internet has been complaining about for years.
Unpredictable moments TNA Joe giving the belt to Angle Young turns heel Homicide returns Hernandez returns Daniels returns Abyss becomes a monster again TBI steals LAX briefcase Homicide cash in Traci aligns with the mafia WWE Punk cash in Hardy betrays hardy Christian returns to me TNA is the one with the most edge as he said because it is more unpredictable
return of r-truth aka. k-kwik, coming out of the crowd, with his wazzup song, brought some additude-era-feeling back imo.

2. John Cena's Surprise Entry at the Royal Rumble 2008.

I see you are nothing more than the typical sheep of wrestling. Bash on it when you can but still watch. If it isn't wrestling, why are you still watching and putting it in the same category as wrestling? Stop contradicting yourself and think before you text.
LynxShadow 2 years ago
You are really vices sheep dance to the cadence of society's expectations and making assumptions without knowledge.Or you would of known i was watching TNA since the beginning when KEN SHAMROCK won the TNA world heavy weight title who was a real shoot fighter in the first UFC and a WWE super star in attitude era .Only sheep follow without asking questions essentially dumb animals that need to be led and Vince is your Shepard.
VSM101 2 years ago
I know what sheep do, hence me labeling you as one. It does not matter how long you have been watching a certain company. Wrestling is wrestling. I've been watching WWE since I was 7, what does that mean? Nothing. I know all about Ken Shamrock and the foundations of TNA. I don't need you reiterating it to me.
You obviously didn't comprehend what I meant about you being a sheep. I'll try once more. You are basically following the same thing everyone else is saying just to be with the "in crowd".
LynxShadow 2 years ago
Meaning, if a group of people say WWE sucks, you'll agree without even knowing why. Just because everyone else is doing it.
It's funny how you say Vince is my shepard when you watch WWE programming just like I do. By that logic, wouldn't he be your shepard too? You are contradicting yourself for the 3rd time. Give it up.
In the end, if you aren't going to apart of the solution, don't be apart of the problem. If you don't like what your watching, stop crying and watch something else. Simple!
LynxShadow 2 years ago
3)For 5 years now the new talent on the show are put down and not allowed to develop up to a main decent event.
4)The story line has become bland that they have to promote entertainers keep viewers interested thus detracting from the actual wrestling matches themselves
ect.
i have more points but limited space and time and knowing you will twist and manipulate my comments to suite your own conclusion to justify your frivolous arguments so there is no point if you don't listen
VSM101 2 years ago
Youtube didn't catch your 1st and 2nd reasons. I'm going to assume you were referring to WWE with #3. I could've sworn in the last 5 yrs, they pushed the likes of Edge, Randy Orton, Batista, CM Punk, Jeff and Matt Hardy, Mark Henry, John Morrison and others. Did they all not at one point hold a world title? So your 3rd reason was a fail.
As for reason #4, Both WWE & TNA have bland and repetitive story lines now. To say one is more pointless than the other then continue to watch is ridiculous.
LynxShadow 2 years ago
For the record, I haven't twisted or manipulated anything you said. I simply pointed out your contradictions. It's not my fault you ignore the obvious in a feeble attempt to prove a point. If you come with better logical explanations, you wouldn't have this problem.
LynxShadow 2 years ago
That saying "being on board" really applies to adults more than kids. As adults, we are already "lifers" We'll watch regardless. Kids on the other hand don't have to watch but are pleased with what they watch. They'll eventually become lifers if WWE stays on track.
Most smart marks don't even know what they want but they'll be the 1st to complain about how bad the product is and how they should change it. That's idiotic on the highest level.
LynxShadow 2 years ago
I havent watched regularly since 2003. Ill catch a show every now and then but really have no interest at all in wrestling other then watching old school matches on this site. I think u over estimate how many "lifers" are out there. And really if the WWE was just changing with the times, it would still be just as popular. Why would the ratings take such a drastic hit. And there are plenty of smart marks that know what they want. And I don't see how voicing your opinion is idiotic.
YouTuI3eSucks 2 years ago
Whether you watch frequently or not, you still come back. That's what I meant about "lifers". Just like if you weren't a lifer, you wouldn't have watched this vid let alone respond on the comment(s) below.
WWE is changing with the times, just on a newer, younger audience. I don't understand this "drastic ratings hit" people keep bringing up. Unless your comparing their ratings to the kind they had 10 yrs ago, then yeah. Other than that, their ratings are pretty high.
Continued...
LynxShadow 2 years ago
Yes, there are smart marks that do know what they want. I wouldn't say plenty, but they do exist. There needs to be more if voices want to be heard. Not just the kind that goes with the company of their choosing neither. Voicing an opinion can be idiotic if there's no solid foundation behind it. If I said Goldust is the greatest wrestler ever without explaining why, All hell would break loose. It's one thing to voice an opinion, but if there's no substance behind it, it's idiotic imo.

That is exactly what TNA needs to do. They need more violence, More risks. And heat . Just get that attitude going in TNA.
EternalDeathSavior 2 years ago 3
If you recall, The most shocking thing that the WWE has done recently was Donald Trump buying Raw. People don't like to admit it but the ratings don't lie. It was unexpected and gave you that "shock value" you thought the company was lacking.
While I'm on the topic of "Shock Value", It's very hard to give wrestling "fans" shock value when you have the internet. You can look up the latest rumors, spoilers, etc. in an instant so it doesn't surprise you when you know it's going to happen.

Which was total garbage and we could anticipate the outcome due to the pattern of WWEs resent programming.

LynxShadow 2 years ago
If WWE is still doin whats hip, why are the ratings down. When I was younger, I wanted to be like the older kids. They dictated what was cool. The WWE can go for whatever demographic they want but appealing to the older fans pleased a wider variety of fans and not just the younger kids. It makes no sense to aim at the younger kids. Why aim a product at consumer that will eventually grow out of it. And whatever edge you're talking about, I didn't see it tonight on Raw thats for sure.
YouTuI3eSucks 2 years ago
I expected this from Dameon. Notice how he never said anything bad about TNA through the whole topic. Like TNA never makes mistakes or isn't as stale as WWE.
Like someone else said on the comment board, it's not 1997 anymore. Stop living in the past. Dameon always contradicting himself. One moment he's talking about how everyone should appreciate wrestling for what it is. The next moment, he's saying it lost it's edge.
200th episode of Impact sucked and they killed the main event. Be real.

Jeff Hardy doing that HUGE swanton to Randy Orton had me very excited
playboi182 2 years ago
as much as i like this show, wrestling fans are typically divided into diffrent crowds. either your crazy for the days of the additude era, the golden days(before the birth of the additude) or those who grow with the product. i dunno which one i belong in, but i don't agree with nelson, tna has a few moments, but hardly got me excited, jumping out of my seat, nor intrested to the point i'll watch religously. while wwe product is kinda at a stalemate,i enjoy the overall product in the longer view

i didnt think the morrison vs jeff was great it was good but not great but the cm punk heel turn was great and the most shocking was jeff doing a swaton bomb at 30 foot high on orton or orton punting vince mc mahon
Ryden1011 2 years ago
honestly i didnt mind the randy orton taking out all the mcmahons, especially when he did the ddt on steph then kissed her. aside from that iam hard pressed to remember anything but the attitde era i can tell u what happened on heat hahaha

YouTuI3eSucks 2 years ago
Guess what TN Dameon, its not 1997 anymore. B you really gotta see what's really going on now. The people at the WWE took the time to stop and think and decided focusing on the talent and overall wrestling. I see what you're trying to do here. "Hey Attitude Era cry babies, watch TNA".
steeltownbrown52 2 years ago 2
i had the same thoughts running thru my mind after i watched the latest shows of TNA and SD (via online stream, sry.. well in germany it's like a ppv only on the normal shows -.-)
well anyways, the WWE is very predictable since... uh.. probably the last 4-5 years? honestly i only have to watch any match for like a minute and i know who's gonna win.
havent got the that feeling when i watching TNA shows tho.

WWE is turning into a sideshow. The product is laughable puting up special GMs on Raw and not giving the audience anything new. The company is losing talent or cant use talent in the right way. I feel WWE is going through the motions. Maybe something big will be on the horizon but remains to be seen.

The most recent thing in the wrestling industry that literally shocked me was when WWE released Ken Anderson. I had heard several rumblings and rumors but that honestly shocked me.
qndfboa 2 years ago
Yes, I agree with you. TNA has the opportunity to be the true alternative like it was back in 05/06. But until nthey can score higher ratings without the help of this MEM crap we will never see it. I eman the X Division is what seperated TNA from the WWE. But look at it now, it's on life support. I say for TNA to step up they must include the X Divison back to it's glory days. But again, that's just my opinion. It was that division that got me to be a huge TNA fan... even a mark at times!
UltimateVictory88 2 years ago
Serously there is really no way for TNA to be SHOCKING in todays wrestling world, when you have a taped product. What made both WCW and WWF shocking was the fact that you didnt know what was going to happen, it was a live show. So i really dont see how TNA can shock us unless they start doing live impacts. Just my opinion

The weekly shows from WWE (Monday Night Raw, Smackdown and ECW), and TNA (Impact) are more exciting than their PPV's recently !!!
Who agrees with me?
offthefaceoftheearth 2 years ago
TNA I say no, if they can pull offf a good PPV it's very good (I'm thinking of this year's Sacrifice and Slamboree's, in particular..
Their show, however is almost always predictable, scores of promos that aren't really needed, however when they actually finally get down to wrestling, it's generally pretty good.
(I'm probably one of the few who'll be honest in saying I'm a fan of both companies, and been a wrestling fan since the early 80's)

i mean both companys have guys that can wrestle and theres a decent match here and there... but they have 0 personality 0 charisma... i just dont care for them as talented as some of them are i could careless about them... which wrestling returned to being a sport as far as its packaged and given to us
JohnTheBaptist87 2 years ago
i agree wrestling is so stale characters are so boring that ive started watching raw from 96 again and every wwf ppv since then into 07 and today it is still more engaging than this bullshit and its not just wwe wrestling in general sucks now adays.... maybe it doesnt appeal to my generation any more but theres so much lacking in wrestling

Good idea by the way.
TheHidden0123 2 years ago
i think that the edge was gone when fans started to get more personal with the wrestlers, in that we know the real them, and not just what we see on t.v, there's no more surprises as u said. everything is out in the open. e.g, the undertaker, his real name his Mark Calaway, and cuz of that fact, he kinda loses his edge. it was so much better when i know him only as the undertaker, the demon from death valley....but that's just my opinion....
purEvil84 2 years ago 2
See, I can't think of much, I think back when Jeff did the swanton on Orton from that really really high thing, but then again, it's jeff hardy, It didn't shock me at all, I think Kurt Angles departure REALLY shocked me when he left WWE. CM punk beating Edge for the title after batista beat him up maybe? TNA has the most edge right now, you just can't top it. It's the closest thing to the attitude era we will ever get again, Enjoy it while you still have it.

I couldn't agree more Dameon i have been watching PWR for a long time and im a huge fan of your show wrestling was best in the 90s wrestling has lost its edge and its just in a big slump right now. The last time i marked out was WM25 for Shawn Michaels vs Undertaker.

JayIssa79 2 years ago
I wrote an article called whats wrong with wrestling in 2009. The short answer us(long time fans). Because we have seen it all, spots, matches ect. It's like xmas the older you get the more you have apathy for it. Now dude wwe has just gone back to its old formula before the wars. And look man the wars are dead attitude is dead. We long due a golden era but dont hold your breath. And new fans may think nothing is wrong at all. Is TNA the answer? It's not a time machine. Good post D
JayIssa79 2 years ago
Issue with wrestling? Lack of competition. TNA is not NEARLY enough competition for WWE to really get creative.
BigD281713 2 years ago 2
maybe we are getting to old for wrestling seeing wwe is going through a change
bjartwrestling 2 years ago 2
well tna tries to put some edge to its content with its harsh promos and violent beat downs, etc.
the only hint of edge i see in WWE is the seemingly random blood on Jeff Hardy's forehead on smackdown last week.(i may be wrong but i CLEARLY saw blood and i think it was real because he covered it the rest of the time.
