I was making a point that RFID was secure and harder to manipulate compared to the wide spred use of insecure locks, coupled with the ease of use needed to make equipment to pick said locks.
copying RFID is a risk granted, but I was saying that using locks and keys as a "safer" option is unrealistic unless middle market/high end market locks are used
There is a scanners available that can read your card rfid from ten feet with that some one could program a new card and open any of your locks. Can you say bend over and grab you ankles
1) anybody can make tools and learn about the trade at home. You cant make RFIDs in your shed
2) Everybody has a lock on their door, not everybody has RFIDs which means this tech isnt as a wide security threat
3) Im from the uk which means RFID arnt common. only one bank has RFID chips in cards, so again, credit card reading wont be a problem here for a good while.
Locks only keep honest people out.

@clodester
why hack rfid
just copy it its very easy just get near to him and pass him on the sidewalk and u can use a device to scan it u can even scan his credit card
