Man i can hibernate nor sleep, i have a 16gb ram, 1 tb laptop and it was working fine until today, i mean, it used to hibernate and sleep without any problem until today, now when i turn the computer on after hibernate it runs but the screen become black , what can i do? please help! i have WIN7 home premiun...

technically hibernate is much faster than shutdown, shutdown looks like crap comparted to hibernate

I try to hibernate my machine now it kind of "pops" out back. The screen goes black for a second and then lights up again showing my account user(like switch user)

@nikolassj If there is no power, then your PC won't be able to revert to the saved state. It will simply boot back up as if it had been shutdown.

@nikolassj Set it to hibernate when idle, and power loss won't bother it. To get protection while not idle, get a UPS and make that tell Windows to hibernate when needed.

Hey please i am having a problem when my computer goes to hibernate, after i leave my computer for too long. When i move the mouse and return to the desktop it is disconnected the ethernet. it says " No conecctions available". I have to restart it to make it work again... What can i do?? My motherboard is Intel dx58so (intel i7)...
