How are they able to lie down to sleep

@gut197 Horses are Pray animals they really dont lay down MUCH to sleep. They normally sleep standing up and lay down very little to sleep. They do need to lay down to get into a good deep sleep (REM) but they only need about 45 mins of REM sleep a day to be Well Rested. This is due to them always being on the lookout for danger.
