Why are diesels depicted as villains in the railway series? Diesels are faster, more reliable, quieter  and slightly more eco friendly than steam engines. So in fact, it should be the diesels having to save the day and stop the steam engines from making loads of noise and pollution and clogging up what would be an efficient diesel railway. This show is warped man. The originals were acceptable coz there were no diesels, but once diesels came in they should have taken the railway.

if you want to believe that there is continuity to His appearances (which i don't, i think Hit's just milking him) , Diesel 10 has his own Agenda, that's obvious. he still clearly hates the Steam engines, and is not above using them to get what he wants. and PT Boomer, Burnett stone, and all that TATMR Stuff? NOT COMING BACK. Boomer was never there to begin with, being cut from the movie. A movie which Hit no doubt realizes was a Mistake anyway.

Basically they are doing the past where diesel 10 was a good train, to where he became evil ruining lady, then chasing her and thomas, which then falls down the bridge in to a barge like you said. And then returning some how. Well they definetely make an episode where he comes from the barge. That's just my guess.
