I was swearing to this product "Eset Smart Security" for 3 years now, even I have version 4 at the moment. Then I embarised myself in the front of colegues.

I work in System Engineering for a company with 2000+ employes.

I pluged my portable ssd drive to colegues computer, and imagine my face when Symantec Endpoint Protection reported troyan!

Regardless to my feelings and nice reviews, I have no choice. This is my job! I must switch to SEP! Indeed SEP have much more advanced heuristic.

cmon guys dont be so bad with nortan... nortan Internet security 2009 is much lighter than the previous versions.. i recommend people stop comparing with the previous versions of it and compare it with the 2009 version. Anyway i quite like ESET's Smart security but it does seem to miss a few spyware here and there.. which i clean with superantispyware

This has the best firewall on the planet , seriously . If you put the firewall on Interactive mode you can choose when to accept or deny incoming/outcoming connections , so there is actually zero percent chance that a password stealers steals your passwords .

Also RAM usage is about 1.2% and the max CPU load was 45% (Full Scan) Normal Cleaning viruses (visiting infected websites , cleaning malware) takes about 13% max in cpu load .

I'm using ESET smart security. I got myself a virus few days ago - I still have the access to the internet, but I can't update Smart Security, Ad-Aware SE. I downloaded Avira, tried BitDefender, and Avast. They found nothing. I tried to install kaspersky. When I installed SmartSec, I copied them into ESET folder, and when I restarted my PC, Nod showed that I had the update from the day I uninstalled NOD.

NOD32 has never been close to good antiviruses (check the tests)(its like no antivirus on your system), Smart Security = No Protection, because their firewall is ridiculous

Hi, I used Avast home edition. I thought this was a good antivirus. But then my computer did not want to surf anymore. Avast did not detect anything wrong. So I decided to install NOD32, and it detected about 4 news threats. Now the laptop surfs without any problem. Now I'm buying NOD32 smart suite, becuase they saved my axx where others failed.

Yeah I just bought NOD23 I use to have Kaspersky which was okay yet I kept getting viruses, but Kaspersky was way better than Norton which was impossible to remove, I had to buy a new operating system and re partition my PC and start over again lol. I hope NOD32 is all that's its cracked-up to be.

I own the Security Suite - and would NEVER EVER use anything else! - LOL yes norton/symantec is nothing but SHIT! buddy of mine had the symantec suite with the "extra" disc the u.s. military uses [he's IT @ a military base] and I uninstalled that crap as soon as my system started slowing down - ESET picked up 3 viruses after I uninstalled - pretty sad our military (national security) uses that crap!

Not true if properly configured. It passes every leak test that I throw at it. I used Comodo for years before i bought ESS, and Eset's firewall is every bit as good as Comodo.

NOD32 offers many good solutions for avoiding infection. Together with IE7 it's really hard to get any infection. Although, it's advised to keep a good habit of staying away from unsafe internet sites and avoiding fraudent links on MSN. I really like NOD32 for it's stability and speed. I did an in-depth analysis which scanned over 580000 files in total (I'm using two operative systems in one PC) in less than 30 minutes, I think. It went suprisngly fast.
