@sfdguy1 from a pilot's point of view, the reason why First officer helped the Captain on the throttle is because that they both are ready to anticipate any emergency during take-off (where it is one of the highly risky part of a flight)...if any one of the engine fails, either the captain or the first officer can do the emergency procedures while the other can still continue flying & controlling the plane. I hope that helps you mate~! :)
I'm working at Viking Air Ltd. right now, which is the company that now holds the type certificate for the DHC-1 through 7 aircraft, including the twin otter. We make the Twin Otter Series 400. Anyone have any questions?
@EpicTask What are the main differences between the T/O Series 300 and T/O series 400 that has been made by Viking Air? I know the panels are glass cockpit but is there any performance improvements made? any passenger/payload improvements made? T/O is such a beautiful plane and I grew up seeing T/O flying around my place. My school and kindergarten is right next to a airstrip where T/O lands & take-off everyday..I love it..
Dont know the sound, out of practice since youve bee gone. You are truly at the top of your game, a true cockpit rider. That was some killer video, glad to have you back. I also have to get back in your sound game. Big ups to you dude!!!! Cant wait till next videos!!!!
You really do have (some of) the cleanest aviation videos on youtube, bottom line - it's icing on the cake that they're of THESE islands. Thank you, very much for posting :)
it was very hot in that plane, but I was only sitting in it for 15 min and one of those fans were hitting me so it was ok. but the pilots how were sitting there all day had there windows opened and sometimes even the door while taxing = )
