  • YEEOW!

Brings back horrible memories of being tortured

by my grandmother making me listen to it!

(It even sounds like her playing).

Seriously this poor dude needs a JOB!

  • @GooglFascists Seriously glad I could revise your old memories, yes, its ultimately a retro ☻

  • How much would one of these go for with the legs? I have one and am looking to sell

  • recently got one of these and i love it!

  • GOt one today. Really nice. I just made a video myself. I play a different style of music on my page but if you're interested in seeing it I can email it to you. Yours sounds really cool. I have a stand for mine. Really sweet organs.

  • You say this is not electric. I am curious - if the sound is generated by the bellows, what's driving the bellows? usually in harmonium, the person's hand is but I don't see the bellows operated by hand or foot here..

PS: I am new to organs / harmoniums; haven't used them much

  • @eyesonthetube . i just bought this same kind today. its called an "electric chord organ". the electricity part is to keep the air pump or whatever going opposed to like a hand crank on a hurdy gurdy or something. the actual noise isnt from actual electricity though. your hearing a wind sound.

  • I recently purchased a Magnus chord organ (The same that you have I believe) for $25. Best purchase that I've made in a while.

  • just make a drone and play along.

  • beautiful, i just bought a chord organ recentlyfor 10 dollars at a flea market, i've been trying to find lessons on youtube but it's nearly impossible

  • @treeboar77 play a drone with the left hand and block chord movement with the right. Move slowly, think of singing a slow song, this instrument has many sonorities and harmonies. Its a very pure reed because, it is not electronic, but wind generated sound, it has bellows, on that note, remember it sucks dirt from underneath, so I used a clean floor, or suggest a table rather than carpet to stand it on, because it will vacuum the floor into the bellows and dirt will lodge in the reeds.

  • @raygabmiamizzi thanks for the advice, i'm really looking forward to mastering this instrument

  • @treeboar77 i just bought one for 10 dollars too at the Salvation Army. Don't know how to play it yet...was also trying to find lessons/find out what it even is.

  • Wow gettin a great deep low end there. Is that because its mic'd up or is the organ naturally that bass-y?

  • @thedroogfulable I miked it with flat, added little in the way of effects but did the harmonics are natural, I use cubase to record. I am able to make you loops anytime.

  • 0:15

  • @AllTheKingsMen9 wow, how did you to that?

I did not know this was possible. ☻ thanks.

  • @yumyumfruitstripe Good for you, I think they have a lot of atmosphere. You may need to clean out the dust from the air intake filter, as it sucks air in from the bottom, in case you did not know.

  • Wow, I love the sound your getting, very thick and textured.

  • @dpike2113 Yeah, I should practice more on it.. ☻

  • Very cool

  • @Goatboy44spl Hey thanks, I think its a pretty good sound and probably useful for different mix's.
