Best thing to do is get UK citizenship. Join the British Army, get into a decent infantry position. Give it a couple of years and go for SAS selection.
It's NOT that you have to stay there without any form of supplies. As an S(O)F Operator you should be able to figure out how to extend the mission more than double with still getting supplied. Their right you can get a 18x contract before it was based on a GT score of 110 now it's 107 but it's expected to go back.Army and National Guard offer them but every former SF guy i've talked to said go Army not Guard.You go to basic then to a 30 day(pre training, to prepare for selectin) then "If" selected you get into the SF pipeline shortest MOS is 18 months Medic is even longer.Most old school SF r former Ranger's but their now selectiong mostly guys with contracts.Fresh slate no bad habits
From what the SF guys have told me Ranger's think to much like the "regular Army" SF thinks completly diffrent more on their own. Ranger's r a form of Spec Ops but they r still "Advanced Infantry" and just think diffrent;y the mission is completly diffrent. SF has learned they can get a kid fresh they can make him and mold him into thinking and being exactly the way they want him to be.
Also forgot you go to Airborne school before selection(3 weeks). SHortest MOS is 18 months but thats not including basic and airborne. I'm going SF my dad's a Former Navy SEAL but when I told him I wanted to go SF he called his Buddy who's Former SF and still active in the SF community and now helps guys going in with contracts. you have any questions shoot me a message i'll get the answer for ya. @seamuspowers no you do not have to be a Ranger first,all you have to do is be at least 20 and get a good enough score on the asvab.For more info though i would go on the army's website,goodluck my friend!

@seamuspowers the army/national guard has a contract you can sign called 18XRAY i think im not for sure but the training is like 1.5 years and i dont think that counts airborne school..... but lots of the SF are ex rangers

As long as your in the army and have done your bct and ait i think you can travel the "special forces path" as people call it.

Their right you can get a 18x contract before it was based on a GT score of 110 now it's 107 but it's expected to go back.Army and National Guard offer them but every former SF guy i've talked to said go Army not Guard.You go to basic then to a 30 day(pre training, to prepare for selectin) then "If" selected you get into the SF pipeline shortest MOS is 18 months Medic is even longer.Most old school SF r former Ranger's but their now selectiong mostly guys with contracts.Fresh slate no bad habits

From what the SF guys have told me Ranger's think to much like the "regular Army" SF thinks completly diffrent more on their own. Ranger's r a form of Spec Ops but they r still "Advanced Infantry" and just think diffrent;y the mission is completly diffrent. SF has learned they can get a kid fresh they can make him and mold him into thinking and being exactly the way they want him to be.

Also forgot you go to Airborne school before selection(3 weeks). SHortest MOS is 18 months but thats not including basic and airborne. I'm going SF my dad's a Former Navy SEAL but when I told him I wanted to go SF he called his Buddy who's Former SF and still active in the SF community and now helps guys going in with contracts. you have any questions shoot me a message i'll get the answer for ya.
