  • Nope, it's definitely Serbian Trubaci music - I play Serbian music for a living these days. Hawk & Handsaw have a tendency to mess with tunes from the balkans and remix them, no doubt they did that here. Can't guarantee that it's Lovacki but my band leader says it is, and that he has Ferus Mustafov's version. Zach Condon was originally somewhat influenced by Serbian Trubaci music when he started his band, and they covered Siki Siki Baba from Kocani Orkestar.

  • ...isnt the cong called serbian cocek???

  • @sukini3 I'm told it's Lovacki Cocek. A Cocek is a kind of Serbian dance rhythm.

  • @TheUberjammer um...I'm pretty sure its serbian cocek (origionally a Hwak and a Hacksaw song but I like their version much better :)

  • @sukini3 Essentially, saying it's called "Serbian Cocek" is kind of like covering "Devil Went Down to Georgia" and calling it "Southern Bluegrass".

  • @TheUberjammer which would make sense if the name of the song was not "serbian Cocek"!!!

  • @sukini3 So essentially I see three or four possibilities: 1) You didn't read my other comment. 2) You don't believe me. 3) You're trolling. 4) You're making a joke that I'm not getting. Or you can't read/understand English?

  • Zach Condon is the best!

  • Just took the best nap in the cave

    Beautiful performance!!
