  • @PhsycedelicPhish your a fail

  • Urgh my homemade fondant that I made two days ago turned out TERRIBLE! Ugh! I made the powdered sugar myself, in the blender, but it got chunks all over again when I mixed it in! AND, it was too dark from the re-crystallized sugar so I put in white color, but that just made the marshmallows whiter and made the white come off on my hands. THEN, it was too soft because I didn't want to add any more of the crystallized sugar, so I think I'll just have to scrap it and make another batch.

  • thanks for your comment KawaiBean! happy that you are motivated to do it after to see the video :D. I'm sure that you will do a wonderful job.

  • :D I Thought of creating a sewing machine cake for my mum's bday nxt year . She love to sew . I thought that maybe its totally IMPOSSIBLE to make one . ._. So , when i search a video on youtube about "sewing machine" cakes , I saw yours and NOW I'm soooo motivated to do one 8D . Obviously I'm not a pro at doing 3D cakes >_< So i just wanna do it in 2D . ( LOL , she loves to sew but I HATE IT ._. I LUV BAKING CAKES <3 ) :D Thanks for uploading (:

  • omg your cake is awsome i want to start carving cakes and making shapes .your buttons and cloth with the sewn heart is amazing. im only piping 2d figures and would love to make figures that stand off the cake:-)

  • @Derahpehs0Acire Thanks for your nice commnet. 3d cakes are a lot fun to do. i hope you try it someday. I'm sure that you will do a great job with your 2d figures. Looking forward to see them :D.

  • Is there anyway to make it fully cake? or does it have to be rice crispies. I think I'll make this for my grandma's birthday. :)

  • @AprilGuitarSinger If you really want to do it, i recommend you to do it in pound cake. My cake was sponge cake and didn´t help to hold the rice crispies. And yes, will be difficult to get this shape or structure only with cake. I'm sure that your grandmother will love it! :) good luck! Clau

  • Wow, I really loved this. :) You really inspire me to try what you do. :)

  • @AprilGuitarSinger April Thank you very much for your wonderful and sweet words. they mean a lot for me ; ) . Claudia.

  • gr8 effort here by u....love every detail u added to it...i can understand hw stressful it is for us begginers when trying out something new....but it turnd out gr8....we learn frm our mistakes....hope u get better n better.... :D

  • I hope to improve.... thanks for your words!

  • Hi Claudia - this is such a great effort! I can imagine your heartache when it didn't turn out the way you wanted but it was a very difficult design to do. You did a fantastic job of all the little details! And I'm sure you learnt a lot from the experience - keep doing more ; )

  • Andrea!¨thank you very much for your nice words :)) Yesss is true was a big heartache and the same time i learned a lot.

  • I thought you did a great job! I feel your frustration with working with the rice krispie treats. What I've learned is to crush them a bit before making them, this compacts them more and you wont have the big gaps between the cereal. Also if you can cover them with a thin smooth layer of royal icing or buttercream it helps the fondoant go on smoother. Finally did you use supports in your base cake? That helps alot, plus if you put some skewers into the RKT part it would give support. HTH chris

  • Dear Chris thank you very much for the tips ( very clever about RKT ) the base cake was too soft i should do mude cake or pound cake for this kind of proyect ( will be the next time ) Thanks again for your nice words :)) keep in touch . clau.

  • Thanks Rylan for your kinds words but this cake was a headache....the final product was a disaster. Positive things : the fondant was great.. i'm very happy for this ( but i didn't now to cover in right way the machine) and first time that i work with rice treat ( was nice ) : )) thanks again for your words.

  • Nivia is a great friend! This cake looks cute. You mentioned you made your fondant and I have to admit that the fondant you made looks perfect! The buttons and yarns are so adorable.

  • A great effort on a very complicated and difficult cake! Don't lost heart about the fondant :)The chocolate cake with filling looks delicious!

  • Thanks for your sweet words Sarita! and now my next cake is for my son Gonzalo but i want to try to so a small Debbie B. cake before : )))

  • I loved the look with just the rice crispies, gave it a really interesting texture.

Makes me want to make one for my mother in law, she loves to sew.

    Nice 3d structure.

  • Well is nice idea to use this but not so big like i did : S .... you have to be careful with the weight .... you can get nice ideas from cake central they have nice pictures of sewing machines. I'm sure your mother in law will love this .... good luck !! ;))

  • I was thinking about the cake that you want to do and other tips that i can give ( after my trauma with this cake jejeje ) is don't do a soft cake for the base because the mine didn't hold very well the body of the machine and will be more nice if you cover with marzipan the rice treat before the fondant. ( i hope you understand what i mean ... my English is not 100% ok ; ) ).

  • Thanks for your nice words :)) and is true every cake we learn something new. i hope do something "more" nice the next time: )) thanks for watching.

  • Hi, love the effort and details that went into this cake.We know it girl, its not an easy job to build a 3d cake. But I am sure you must have learned something out of the situation, every process is a learning step. Looking forward to your next cake.

  • Thank you so much my wonderful friend :) Thank for allowing me to participate, I loved it, although it was through the webcam hahaaha! You are awesome and your efforts are more precious than the cake itself.

You did a great job by making the cake without instructions and for the first time using rice treats. Well done gal!!!

  • Thanks to you my dear Nivia!! your support and advice was very important. Your words touch me so much.. thank you very much :)))
