Not 100% keen on the song, but she certainly plays a mean bit of guitar! Anybody know where - which train station - this was recorded at? Looks bit like Newtown Powys...???????

Yes, primitive yet kindred, early Stuff like this Is what Rock was born out of, 8 years before this period was The (Big Band Sound) fuled by the conflict of WWII. Remember the song ''Shout''You know you make me wanna shout, kick my heels up and shout, that kinda song? Yea, early Black church baby. Shouting was the state which occured in the believer when He or She was caught up in the spirit, They shouted, this involved strange dance aswell. and Elvis picked up on that quickly and made millions.
Mother of God where would we be without Youtube. To think I mighta died without ever seeing stuff like this is too ugly to contemplate. Rosetta rocks and so does Youtube
This just stirs something very deep....i'm in awe...love it.
Apparently, this was not Chorlton Railway Station, which was flattened to make way for a hideous supermarket, but a mocked up,and long gone, Mauldeth Rd Station ( towards Didsbury )a little way down the track.
a lot of music historians consider her THE first rock and roller, male or female.

Is there a DVD of acts at the Train Station? I remember seeing lots of stuff way back in the 60s of people who are now blues and gospel legends.

Blind lemon wasn't an Electric guitarist but he was certainly one of the greatest blues acoustic guitarists of the early 20th century!
Blind Willy McTell, Blind Blake, Blind Willy
Johnson, Reverend Gary Davis and so many others too numerous to mention. THEY WERE ALL
GREAT INSTRUMENTALISTS!
