Overclock your CPU to 1.80 GHZ

I overclocked mine AMD athlon 64 from 1.80 GHZ

to 2.00 GHZ.

And use a better recording program like hypercame for this sort of jobs.

This is my old account and I made this vid a long time ago, I made it when I was doing cert II in IT, I'm doing my advanced diploma this semester and people cannot compare windows and linux, there good for different things within the IT industry, I mean, Windows, great for home use, games, Active directory, DNS, Linux is good for web servers like apache, file servers, etc, people who say linux is better then windows or windows is better then linux are just nubs.

I do like visual effects but I just prefer linux over windows. hell I would even run linux CLI instead of a nice GUI. and linux is good for home use also. it depends on how you use it and your computer knowledge. I am working towards a Network Administrative in school. I know HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, C#, Turing, and a few more languages. I am experienced with OS systems from Win95 to Win7 and know alot about Linux.

Linux is okay, from most the people I know in IT, for home use its okayy, but Windows will be dominent for a long time because it has all of the support, my computer has Hardy heron duel booted with vista and I use that now and then, its a nice OS, but for most things, I stick with windows because most of my crap runs on it.

yes I do agree on that. Windows will dominate the marketplace but for what I do at home Linux is much better for ME. Windows has commercial support but yet Linux has community support which I prefer because they aren't just reading guidelines out of a book like tech for company's. the community actually know what they are talking about. but yeah.

Not always, Sometimes, certain members of the community are wrong, where as, tec support are trained, and take procedures, what do you do at home that works better for you, other then what most teenage IT enthusiasts do (gaming, msn etc)

@DaFakaMatt ok then i'm a happy noob! i LOVE linux ever since i first started! i used to defend windows tooth and nail, oh you don't have games oh you don't have microsoft office and what not... but i took the time and now i absolutely love linux. i just never had to THINK of viruses and restarting and worrying about what i do 24/7 u should have seen how paranoid using windows was making me, sandboxes, virtual machines, antivirus after antivirus! @siriuslymessedup LoL. love, its not all about gaming, and yes, believe it or not, you do need to restart Linux on occasions, and yes, I did defend linux at some stage and do now, however I use Linux as a Server OS, not a Desktop OS, but it depends on what kind of server I need. Linux does not support Active Directory, and any other Directory Service it does do just does not cut it. And linux isn't that safe either - I've had brute force attacks from someone in china until I installed Denyhosts

@siriuslymessedup I'm not defending Windows, nor am I attacking Linux, I use both, infact, I have a tutorial on my channel on how to set up samba on debian. My VPN server is running Linux at home. But where I get confused is why do you use Linux as a client OS over Windows? I hate Apple, and I would use a mac over Linux :P, I had lots of issues even using Wine, Duel screening, if you unplug it, BANG I can't get into gnome. if you change the nature of OS, ur guna have to reboot Windows or Linux.

@DaFakaMatt ok tho pet, i also switched from windows because of limited driver availability and hardware compatibility. i've had no trouble with dual monitors or anything! i mostly use linux because i like tinkering, trying new things without compromising the integrity of my machine. so far i've had no real trouble at all except for one time in 08 when the printer was difficult to configure, they made an update, so now all is well. i'm not smart enough to tinker on an expensive mac #kernelpanic

@siriuslymessedup Mac and Linux are very similar there based on UNIX. Something I like about Windows when it comes to administering it is that everything is automated in a corporate environment through active directory, and I'm talking Encryption, secure DNS updates, Rights Management etc etc. But there are somethings where linux works better in terms of functionality and budget. but 95% of the time it will be all Windows Based. also when it comes to restarting, it depends on the application

@siriuslymessedup I could design an application and after it installs, I can make it prompt the user to restart the computer. even though it doesn't really need restarted 9 times out of 10, you will click restart, but all that is required to to stop and start the service depending on the application.

I'm not disrespecting linux by saying this but, do you really think linux is that great? yes it has superior coding, explaining none of the viruses but, if your not good with computers linux is a "block" so to say... People don't know what to do with it. Windows on the other hand is for "basic" users. But, also for advanced. What i mean by that is all of the threats for windows were made by a user or a team of users with experience. Getting linux is sort of like starting from an advanced user.

Multi threaded programs, but the operating system itself is not. My source of this though is a SysAdmin, who works on unix and windows servers. He says that even vista is not multi threaded~ heh, fancy that.

Regardless, windows is still slow as balls, and only gets slower based on its filesystem, and the fact that it just fills up with crap as time goes on

Technically, the effects are vista and Compiz/Beryl. Compiz and Beryl happen to be window managers for the *nix users to use as an option. Now that so many people can get most of these just by popping in their Ubuntu disks, people tend to lose the idea of linux flavors.

I'm pretty sure all of these are Compiz Effects as well. Did you just get a windows theme for your linux distro? Or you going to tell us what apps you used?
