I would first ask these protesters whether they thought any harvesting and eating of any animal whatsoever is legitimate. If not, then that betrays that their real problem is not so much the sport of duck hunting but any harvesting and consumption of animals. If they accepted some harvesting of animals for food I would then ask why duck hunting as opposed to gathering of others animals is unjust. I suspect their reasoning against hunting of ducks would be arbitrary and unfounded.

duck hunter are the true conservationist seeing as they were the first people to help conserve wetlands in Australia. If the hunters had not saved the wetlands in the 50's many of them would not be here today. It was HUNTERS who saved the wetlands in Australia not the GREENS!
i hunted ducks opening morning and was pleased to see all the young kids with there fathers out in the swamps, the smiles on there faces said it all, so let these kids grow up and continue the tradition, for the greens they just have nothing better to do on the weekends but annoying us hunters, and mwill3011 the hunters still continue to save the wetlands today.

I am going for my game licence next month. The deciding factor for me was the fact that duck populations are VERY healthy right now.
I'm a city girl who loves the idea of working for and hunting your own food.
I'm slowing getting my boyfriend interested in the idea... It hard work learning all about duck hunting from scratch, all by yourself!
