  • This is a very cool recipe! I think the probiotic really makes it work. I added some garlic and some fresh basil..and it came out so scrummy..but...the outer edges ended up looking very grey and dirty, I think that was because of the fresh basil, I would suggest trying dried herbs..which I will try this weekend.   • i germinated my almonds and i must have done it all wrong because after i rinsed it and let it dry i put it in a container and they all grew mold within 8 hours? what did i do wrong lol???

    I am surprised how you got brainwashed in the protein thing too, Dan. Most nuts/seeds run in the teens for protein, as well as carbohydrates. That leaves 70-80% fat, Dan.

    When you let it rot/putrify/"culturize" it, fermented carbs form alcohol, acetic acid, lactic acid, methane, and co2. Rotting protein produces ptomaines, indoles, leukomaines, skatoles, mercaptans, ammonia, methane, hydrogen sulfide and other toxins. Fats become rancid as they oxidize.

  • @723465 I just can't see you with that little packaged container man.. You should realize that people look up to you. I did once too. You should also realize that not many will buy your bag of "raw almonds" for $80 or whatever you're selling it for. I can buy a week's amount of fresh delicious fruit by the case for that money. And don't get me started on sugar/protein/fat burners. Every cell in the body uses simple sugars for fuel.

    Fermentation isn't rotting, its a controlled process. even if fermented food contained all the substances you say it does, which is very debatable, how do we know those are bad?

  • i made this, or rather tried to and it turned out like a chocolate moose. It was 'fluffy' and the top oxidized like hell - is that the way it is? I didn't use the same enzymes as they didn't ship internationally. Omega-life Omega-zyme... is supposed to be proteolytic and all that :S

    It was edible, even if a little unpalatable. I added turmeric and paprika to spice it up :)

Now, since you're are outside and that winter is coming, I am wondering, are you able to juice and do all those things during winter in the Rv.... can you talk about this in a futur vid. Since I live in Canada, winter are truly harsh and I can imagine being living in an RV... that question probably shows that i dont have much knowledge LOL but I dont care, I hope you are going to explain what you do in winter time.   • Uhh Dan, I loved your vid up until the point where you condemned the nut for the overweight individual. Dietary fat has nothing to do with weight, if anything less fruit would be way better. Why can't anybody understand this. It's not calories that drive you to accumulate fat and keep weight on, it's HORMONES. Insulin regulates fat accumulation so eat low glycemic, foods like this are PERFECT for EVERYBODY. It's the low-fat diet that got everybody fat in the first place.

  • @beanfeast57 It's my understanding than any probiotic will work and, to be honest, I've only tried one other probiotic (HMF) to make yogurt but the batches I've made with the NCP product do taste alot better.

They sell them with the husk in asian markets should i assume these are raw? also are they ok to eat raw? if i soak them to germinate should i soak them with the husk on? they are my favorite nut because they have much less fat so i dont feel stuffed after eating them.   • People could try rejuvelac instead of the probiotics. It will work very similar and you can make it yourself very cheap. Ann Wigmore did this, google it if you're interested in cultivating food.

  • Hey Dan, can I do it without the probiotic powder? I'm an international viewer so I don't hve it right now, but I have my soaked seeds in the kitchen

  • @alfredofloyd Not only do the probiotics help digest the meal, but they also prevent bad bacteria from taking hold of the food. If you just leave that seed cheese to ferment without the probiotics, there's a good chance that harmful airborn microbes will get to it first and multiply. You don't want that in your body. Adding the probiotics give the good bacteria a head start so if any of the bad ones show up, they are outnumbered and easily defeated. It's risky not adding a culture starter.

  • raw food also requires certain hygiene standards..like tying up your hair for it not to become part of the dressing..just joking, nice recipe, I've had two bags of both ingredients for god knows how long and this has been most useful, will try.

  • I hear tons of ppl tht think I'm insane for turning Vegan and consuming 80% raw but when I see the health risk ppl are taking by the types of foods they eat......tht just seems insane to me.

    Anyone that isnt feeling their best needs to change the habits tht drains them of the super life they could be living. I'm not some health guru-gym rat, just an obese female that got tired of the emotional prision I ate my way into. If I can do this then so can anyone else if you start to give a damn.

  • @OpenYourTruth yes you can make rejuvelac which has natural cultures in it and will help you digest the nuts and seeds. Google rejuvelac it's easy to make with rye, wheat or any grain. I prefer sticking to natural stuff if I can, instead of buying expensive pills.

  • @OpenYourTruth I recently became a raw vegan, I was a vegetarian for many years but wanted to go further and improve my health. At the moment I am fasting, I am doing the master cleanse to rid myself of the damage done by cooked foods. Good luck on your journey, there is lots to learn, I am still learning myself, but it is a great lifestyle and adventure.

  • @1964parakeet I believe the true label Raw Vegan means to keep things raw and real from it's natural source, if one has to resort to pills and powders then in my eyes thats not raw. It appears that this movement has become one big informercial, someone always trying to sell you a product. I respect everyones needs, but I was answering openyourtruths question about needing the probiotic to make the recipe and the answer is no, you can make your own naturally.

  • 2 things here to mention guys use spring water from the mother earth and use glass bottles instead of plasticc bottles to avoid excess of phyto estrogens which are very bad for the reproductive organs, increase body fat and increase the female population changing the baby's gender in the mothers belly.
