Proud to say I voted for Ross twice as a young man and helped with his campaign. I thought I was voting and working for the right candidate back then. Now, given hindsight I know I was working for the right candidate. Pretty much everything he predicted about NAFTA, jobs and a declining standard of living has come to pass. Too bad for America more folks didn't give him a chance.
Watched this @ 8 years old and begged my mom to please vote for Ross Perot. She told me at the time she thought, "my silly kid." She now sees the light and realizes that bore a genius. :) In all seriousness, if only all adults could see the light now and consider voting for Ron Paul in 2012 and save our Republic so that future generations may live in the prosperity that our living generations were afforded.
I think America caused its own problems by starting globalization. America is, by its own power-moves, is going through what it did to other nations (setting up businesses and profiting from them). So, its a "pay back" thing. Whatever you say, globalization is a bad idea.
Ross Perot was right...can you see it now, suckers?? Americans - and not just americans - have been fooled. You see it now: work has fleed from west to China and other countries, that don´t respect the rights of the workers and have no intention to do so. Perot was 100% right. Free trade just don´t work, if everyone is not playing with the same rules. Who´s making these points now? Ross Perot - a good & honest man. Shame on you americans you didn´t vote the right guy.
Was Clinton right? Hell yes he was, we had one of the best economic surpluses, stability, and peace during his administration. Forget the scandal crap, we need Clinton back in office more than ever. Even though Obama is working hard, we need someone who can really bring definite change in their presidency.
@sandythebear The 3rd party back then was not taken seriously. Perot wasn't as cool. "Fair" trade is also the big hitch. Fair, Fair, Fair. Perot had the forsight to see that if companies began to compete in the 3rd world, income would eventually increase "$1 an hour to $6 an hour". Oh well, hopefully the voter looks beyond marketing in the future.
Perot whipping the Rep. and Dem ass is why Ind. candidates have great difficulty getting on the ballot or in the debates. The system is rigged to keep the two heads of the same coin in power.
Perot could have sold out to overseas but is a true patriot. He didn't need the pittance paycheck, he is a Billionaire. He was in there for all the right reasons, but all the media talked about was how he spoke.
He's was not a professional Bullshit Politician, with that B.S. smile, but that's what Americans wanted, and got. All his predictions came true. Anyways, I voted for him, he lost, and in 2009my job went to Mexico. Thanks Al.

@niltomega all those jobs being shipped to mex should keep the mexicans from coming to the usa and wasting the usa misery of benefits that the usa offers. The usa offers very miserably benefits.
perot was so right about nafta {buisness men should run this country not politicians} there should be more views on this video and the larry king perot and gore debates
Perot would have won if they hadn't threatened to kill his family. Remember he had to drop out of the race for a few months because of it and only later came back in. By then it was too late. Perot is another example of how stupid the American Public are. Even when he speaks the truth, they don't want to listen.
Clinton handed his successor a $200 billion surplus. He understood economics. George Sr. was more interested in CIA operations and living in Gulf War glory. Perot didn't trust either one of them, especially not Bush the Elder.
Clinton was the recipient of the tech boom or bubble as it turned out to be. Computers came in and everyone thought they were going to get rich off the internet. Their investments gave Clinton and a Republican congress the $200 surplus but it was never sustainable.
@trademestuff The 'experts' said that Perot's lack of body shifting, lack of pausing, and lack of blinking meant that he was honestly responding without devious thinking. Perot blinked less than half as much as the other guys.
Dave576m, You know nothing about politics and how Bill Clinton helped your country. Your recession was caused by the Bush Administration (both recessions). Go and read a book you twat.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
Just think if Ross perot hadnt stolen so many votes from republicans. We would never had bill clinton, and we would not be in the recession we are in now.
@sept11vids sorry guy, we are in and out of recession every so often because of big government and the federal reserve not because of one president or party. failure for the market to exist is the problem
@sept11vids you cant blame only the president on that. it was the collapse of the housing market-people were taking out loans(loans the government pushed and forced greedy banks to lend) that they couldnt afford to achieve the materialistic "american dream." This lead the subprime mortgage crisis, which racked up foreclosures and jacked down property values.
I see you are still eating that bullshit lie fed to you by wall street and neo-con leaning economist. People taking out loans they can't pay back WAS NOT the MAJOR reason for the "bubble". Nice try.
@JoeKopsick4Congress Pick your poison. Stagnation>Great Depression and that's where we going with Bush policies. And the corporate and private tax cuts that provided no revenue in return are a big part of why the nation is in such hard economic times since the only capital investment was in foreign countries. Bush's policies on taxing were ridiculous and promised jobs that failed to produce a net gain.
@JoeKopsick4Congress And who cares if Emanuel, Obama, and Gore stand to make money off Cap and Trade? If the cause is right, then we should applaud them on investing in it. Just because somebody you don't like supports an idea, doesn't make the idea bad. And if the Republicans would realize that and work with Obama in those areas then the country wouldn't be where it is now. Not to say the Dems are much better, pansies if you ask me, but that doesn't make it any less true.
@JoeKopsick4Congress It's an incentive program aimed at reducing pollution, not bigging the right to pollute. The authoritative body in question sets a "cap" on the amount of pollutants allowed to be emitted and gives incentives to those who do outstanding work in reducing pollutants they produce. There isn't an incentive given to those who pay to pollute, what you said is a lie.
Please stop accusing me of lying. If anything, I'm mistaken.
I'm not saying that incentives are being given to pollute.
What I'm referring to is how companies can buy carbon emissions permits from other companies. That's the "trade" part of "cap and trade", as far as I can tell.
Al Gore bought carbon permits. Now, when companies want to emit more carbon, they have to find someone willing to sell permits. Meaning that Al Gore stands to make money when others desire to pollute.
@dave576m: just think if you got your history right, you would have said, that during Clinton the USA actually experienced a declining national debt and a real surplus on its federal budget. Just think if Bush jr would have stayed an alcoholic and anybody else inherited Clinton's economy... No recession, now huge debts, 2 less quackmire-wars less.
@dave576m Are you serious? Just think if Ralph Nader hadn't stolen votes from Al Gore in Florida and we wouldn'tve had the bush tax cuts, Iraq War, recession, etc.
@dave576m It has been the economic policies of every Republican president since Reagan that has led our country to these recessions. It's not too hard to figure out if you do some research and take into account real facts. Look at the numbers, they don't lie.
@dave576m Dude. you are DUMB. Clinton got us out of the recession in the early 90's and the economy was outstanding. Then George W Bush came in and got us back into the recession. LIBERAL DEMOCRATS GOOD, CONSERVATIVE REPUBLICANS BAD.
oh no ... I believe that it was a plane hitting Pentagon ... i remember the government telling me...
I believe that Obama is born in Hawaii .. he told us ...
Governments would never lie. Democracy works. Last election the US had 6 candidates ... but only 2 were covered by the news ... that is democracy in action.
My home country - Denmark - went to war in Iraq because of the evil dictator Saddam ... not because of oil .. my government told me so.
@MrPeace2mind And how convenient they placed Ross between the two of them with chairs that are even hard for Bill and George to sit in. That's just messed up.
I kind of wish Perot had won. I didn't agree with him on everything, but if he had won he would have broken the two party system. I hate the two party system. The Green and Libertarian partys should also have an actual say in politics, along with the Independants. We need more diversity in D.C.
Here's a good way to think about our political system. There is a bell curve with conservative on the left and lib on the right. A line of our theoretical representation of views (who we elect) is drawn where that ideology is in power (based on party). The entire curve itself, however, can shift left and right depending on the times we're in (ei: post 9/11 many civil rights lovers shift to slightly more policing). I'm libertarian btw
The good thing about 2 parties is that each party groups those with more intervention and more civil rights against those with less intervention and less civil rights together, and allows for idealogical voting rather than voting for people. If 2 parties of the same ideology each lose a plurality, but together gain majority, ideology isn't represented although men are, but this is a country of laws not men. Also, if one party is bad, voters can easily punish it by electing the other party.
man clinton talked like he was going to bring about some amazing change, like he was going to dramatically change our nation forever. uhhh we're still very much in the same boat now we were then. I mean think about it, as elections come and go, people talk as if they are going to make things soooo much better. If they all fulfilled their promises by now our nation would be just about perrrfect.
In one speech ,I can't remember which one, Clinton clearly said president don't have any real power. That's why I liked Clinton he was giving some shred of information once he was in office. Obama is a Martin Luther king jr like aka Hitler like, don't believe me look at Triumph des wilin I've never seen Martin Luther king the same way after this movie. He give a lot of hope but never tell anyone how it will be achieved except that it will be hard but american are strong that's so Hitler like.
Look at triumph des willin and you will understand if you have seen MLK speechs. They talk the same way they act the same way , Hitler in his speech was not yelling let's kill the jew he was talking about german people helping each other not charity but cooperation between german and that kind of crap. They were both talking the same way they were both making pathetic similarity to history (bible for MLK the 2 first reich for hitler)they both did what they said they would to technically.
Hitler was promising employment to the german people and he did it , half of the unemployed went in the war factory and the other half in the german army.MLK was talking about ending segregation he technically did it but look at the state of the country today the numbers don't lie.U.S is more racist than ever but it's not in the law anymore so it's ok.
So... in effect your idea is that because certain parallells can be made between the public speaking styles of MLK and Hitler that they're really the same thing? That's utterly ludicrous. Look at their intentions. Look at their actions. Not even remotely the same. Whether you acknowledge it or not, Hitler did indeed openly fan the flames of anti-semitism in speeches, whereas MLK was trying to open a dialogue on racial equality. I don't know how to spell it out more clearly for you.
What you don't understand is that MLK studied propaganda at the university and to this day the Nazi machine is probably the best example ever made of propaganda, I'm saying he copied Hitler.I'm not denying the holocaust I'm saying to rise where he got Hitler did not say let kill the jew he started this policy years later but you obviously know nothing about the subject I don't even know why I answered your comment in first place.Keep thinking U.S saved the jews during the second world war lol
I don't think Martin Luther king was a genius that's my point. I think the strategy he used to achieve is goal is pretty dangerous it mobilize the mass and do not let people think by their self, one thing you understand while studying history is that forced change(even with the best intention) are not a good thing.South Africa,India/Pakistan,Israel/Palestine, the russian revolution, the secession war, the french revolution they all created monstrous aberration.
Once people abolished the segregationist law the rest of the country thought all right we did it now black people are free (just like after the secession war) making a huge movement lead to a complete emptiness after it , persecuted people still continue to fight but the majority think the problem is solved they can move to something else and that's when the worse atrocity occur, I never proclaimed my self an expert idiot.
In 2008 65% of the incarcerate population was black .Blacks were almost three times more likely than Hispanics and five times more likely than whites to be in jail.
Source:U.S department of justice statistic
keep in mind that black represent 13,5%of the total U.S population if this is not a racist country I guess black are lazy criminal in general.
Those were just the more enlightening statistic to me but the list goes on in almost every sector. They show black people on TV they even elected a black president (just like south africa but people there are in worse condition than they were under apartheid) they praise MLK just like they praise Mandela but the fact don't lie.
im not a big fan of mlk..public schools brainwashing kids to worship him.what about the hundreds of thousands of men who died in the cival war to free the blacks...and they bitch because they had to sit on the back of the bus...sorry we didn't mold america into a utopian society quick enough...
Apparently you're not familiar with Ghandi?? MLK copied Ghandi and his non-violent passive resistance. Hitler on the other hand burned down the Reighstag and fomented anti-semitism through violence, i.e. kristallnacht. Crack a book before you come off the handle with idiotic statements like that patnais.
man, you are such an idiot. MLK was ASSASINATED before he could do anything with the new found desegregation. And what kind of idiot watched old Nazi propoganda? I know exactly the kind of person you are. Disgusting
Good argument , I'm an idiot hahaha.I've watched Ghandi and MLK don't act and talk like ghandi sorry. You learn a lot watching what people did in the last century like it or not.Triumph Des willin is one of the best propaganda movie ever made it's recognized world wide.If you can't make the difference between a concept the WAY hitler talked and moved) and technical difference(aim of the person who used the concept)it's not my problem. You know what kind of person I am?Pathetic.
Can we say oratory? Look up the word orator. Now go watch a televangelist, look familiar? Mannerisms and how one presents themselves, in this case charismatic oratory, don't have any bearing on the message. MLK had a totally different message than Hitler, I can't believe I have to actually point this out. So when I said MLK copied Ghandi, I didn't mean his mannerisms, or as you so stupidly put it, technical difference. LOL
You just confirmed my point with your tele evangelist exemple. You are right they use the same concept which lead to to believing not understanding. That was my last answer so keep going with your sens less coment if it make you feel good .
huh? you were talking about how horrible this country was since desegregation and then comparing MLK to Hitler, you weren't talking about mannerisms, moron, you were trying to say they were both evil because they could give good speeches. DUMB
welcome to the world of politics... its one mess where change is very slow, debated, dissented, and watered down for the other side. in the end, it's one dichotomy back and forth which continues to reform policy but not radically change it...
Politic is just a facade , even plato said in the republic that democracy is a total mess and he is praising Sparta who had an oligarchy.Look at the country who are doing good today:they all have oligarchy under the form of 2 party and people can choose (if one of the party don't rig the election) between 2 emperor for the next X years depending of the country.Changing the captain of a team doesn't change the ideology of the team.
1890-1929 Industry exploits the immigrant for pennies on the dollar. There is no American middle class, only very rich and very poor.
1930-1979 marks the rise of somewhat socialistic capitalisim, Social security, conservation corps..etc. Labor Unions force OSHA, CHILD LABOR LAWS, EPA, PENSIONS, OVERTIME LAWS..etc. a strong middle class was the result.
1980-200x Industry now exploits the foreign family for pennies on the dollar. There is no American middle class, only very rich and very poor.
I recorded and watched all these live in 92; I still have em. The funny thing is before Ross Perot dropped out then came back, he had 46% of the vote. If he hadn't dorpped out then returned later to run, he probably would have been the president of the usa.
Interesting debate. George Bush had lost the election, but he was sure a republican head, something that I have not seen in the last 10 years! He actually makes McCain and Palin look like Jokes if you wonder about the current Geaorge Bush.
HAHA, yes - right at 4:45 - the "Giant Sucking Sound" line makes Clinton break character. You gotta love it! Man, do we need a TRUE straight-talking guy like Ross Perot these days.
And yeah, Clinton no doubt had skills. Let's face it - he did a decent job, too.
Look at Clinton's reaction when Perot makes the statement "giant sucking sound going south"...rather funny play on words considering what was to happen...
no matter who yall vote for ,we are screwed, they are controlled by the globalist elites, if they try and deviate from the globalist agenda and do the right things, the result will be november 1963 Dallas Texas.
Really interesting to see how things have changed.
The question at 8:20 would be swerved by any of todays candidates: "I don't want to get into hypotheticals", "Well, you know, whats actually important is..."
Clinton was just straight with the guy and said: "No, and heres why". So much more convincing to voters even if you disagree with the substance of what he's saying.
I know dibbilyhooha I like this debate more than ever before as I really don't care for the debates or vice=presidential debates of today. Ross is the man and he broke it down.
This is incredible. They are actually discussing the details to the questions asked and giving specific step by step plans to solve the problems. They got further in 10 minutes of this debate than either candidate running today has throughout the entire campaigne.
After seeing all the videoes of presidential debates,I think Bill Clinton is the best.Yes Obama is young and charming, but his debate isn't that convincing.
From a guy who voted for Bill Clinton twice back in 92' and 96'. One of the things I disliked about Clinton was his "don't ask, don't tell" policy in regards to gays serving in the US Military. And the other was him signing "NAFTA" into law. A law I believe George H. W. Bush wanted to start.
A capitalist's whole goal is to have the cheapest possible labor, employ as fewer workers as possible. And make as much profit as a result of the cheap labor.
I'm sick of free traders and laissez-faire corporate shills constantly telling me "Learn economics" or that I just have to accept total free trade and corporate agreements like NAFTA as reality. I'm not supposed to question those because "that's just the way things are. You can't change it." Oh, yes, we can!
Is anyone else sick of hearing that dubious term "global market" or talk about how we have to "be competitive" with everyone else? I just wanna be competitive in my own country!!fuck
The global market has been too deregulated, and we've gone so far off the deep end, we've screwed ourselves. We can't do anything big without worrying about how it might affect the rest of the world. We can't tell corporations that they have to stay in this country. It's just accepted that they can do whatever the fuck they want and go wherever they want. Corporate leaders no longer themselves as citizens of the states but as executives of the world. This is madness!
The only good free trade agreements, if any, are those with similarly competitive nations. But of course, since the 1970s and 80s, the Japanese have been screwing us on trade, and we haven't done a damn thing to hold them accountable. Same w/ the Chinese.
We have to take these things on a case-by-case basis and not just automatically assume (like an idiot) that free trade always works and that protection never does. Protection worked throughout the first 100+ years of our history!
haha, i agree with you but I'm not sure if you've actually talked to most americans about this issue. You see, most people automatically state either democracy, capitalism, or free trade is the solution to all world problems. These 3 ideas are spewed out more than the holy trinity. They are apparently the answer to a miraculously wide range of problems, from racism to poverty to...well everything. And then there's socialism and communism: well, those are basically pure evil aka Satan for people.
Ross Perot had only about 7%, the same as Ralph Nader in many states, in the polls, and HE got into the debates in 92. Nader STILL isn't being let in!! Tell those fuckers at the "Commission" on Presidential Debates to stop being hypocrites. Tell all those who are hosting other debates to let Ralph and others debate. People are sick and fucking tired of politics as usual with the 2 major parties. Voting for McCain or Obama is throwing away your vote. Neither will get things done.
Ross Perot knew his stuff, and he was as right then as he is now on NAFTA. Clinton and Bush Sr. can suck it. "Free" trade agreements AREN'T free; they're disruptive to our economy. You can't possibly expect to make a free trade agreement with a nation with much lower costs of production and wages and expect to come out on top when you're a wealthy nation with expensive production costs and high standard of living! We'll end up buying a lot more of THEIR cheap imports. Common sense
Any economist who claims the "giant sucking sound" never came is a fucking liar. Of course there's been a giant sucking sound! We've lost millions of good manufacturing jobs all across the country. Ohio has lost over 200,000 alone! Michigan has lost even more.
We cannot allow corporations and this "global economy" invisible hand to run our lives in such a manner! We must be the masters of our destiny, not the servants. It's time to reign in corporate power, esp. overseas.
You tell 1,000s of manufacturing workers in in small towns that depend on these plants heavily that "it doesn't matter" if we outsource. It doesn't matter if we lay off thousands of workers in small towns, a huge percentage of the adult working population in those areas.
Outsourcing and service economy have also ruined our moral fiber. We've become so arrogant that we no longer think we have to be producers. We can just be affluent and make all the other poor nations do it for us.
It's essentially glorified slave labor. They get paid ridiculously-low wages just to satisfy our enormous appetites for products and services. To satisfy OUR materialism. Meanwhile, they themselves can hardly afford ANY of this stuff they have to build.
Again, since everybody in america believes that the united states invented the whole idea of freedom and democracy, and since america has had a long history of politics dominated by 2 parties...yeah, having a 3rd major party would be like...unAmerican and undemocratic...aka pure evil! I too also feel that the democracy should involved more than 2 major parties, 2 which is awfully close to the number 1 like they have in Japan. Or so senator mccarthy would probably tell you.
I like obama to beat mccain in all 3 debates. I think he will win all the debates. but is it enough to convince some of the most racist crackers to support his presidency. I think we are living in the 21st century and we are still talking about this. I mean it's time people judge on character and not skin color. Everybody know mccain will only doom this country. Are we will to sacrifice our future for stupidity? Obama/Biden08
I miss when all the candidates were white men.

I remember the amount of peace during the Clinton Administration, and I would change it for NOTHING!

Their investments gave Clinton and a Republican congress the $200 surplus but it was never sustainable.

dave576m 2 years ago
@sept11vids sorry guy, we are in and out of recession every so often because of big government and the federal reserve not because of one president or party. failure for the market to exist is the problem
AroundSun 1 year ago
@sept11vids you cant blame only the president on that. it was the collapse of the housing market-people were taking out loans(loans the government pushed and forced greedy banks to lend) that they couldnt afford to achieve the materialistic "american dream." This lead the subprime mortgage crisis, which racked up foreclosures and jacked down property values.
chaset51 1 year ago

I see you are still eating that bullshit lie fed to you by wall street and neo-con leaning economist. People taking out loans they can't pay back WAS NOT the MAJOR reason for the "bubble". Nice try.

@drbayoms It kinda was. Buying what people couldn't afford to pay back led to foreclosures and repossessions and made the "bubble" pop.

And instead starting a Great Stagnation.
Government spending only creates government jobs and increases parasitism on and by government.
Bush sucked, but he wasn't ALWAYS wrong. He at least knew that corporate and private tax cuts encourage capital investment.
Keep in mind that Obama's chief of staff Rahm Emanuel was on the board of Freddie Mac during the mortgage crisis, and raked in $300,000 a year.
Also, Emanuel, Obama, and Gore stand to make money off of Cap & Trade (-> CCX)
JoeKopsick4Congress 6 months ago
@JoeKopsick4Congress Pick your poison. Stagnation>Great Depression and that's where we going with Bush policies. And the corporate and private tax cuts that provided no revenue in return are a big part of why the nation is in such hard economic times since the only capital investment was in foreign countries. Bush's policies on taxing were ridiculous and promised jobs that failed to produce a net gain.
maphitha1 6 months ago
@JoeKopsick4Congress And who cares if Emanuel, Obama, and Gore stand to make money off Cap and Trade? If the cause is right, then we should applaud them on investing in it. Just because somebody you don't like supports an idea, doesn't make the idea bad. And if the Republicans would realize that and work with Obama in those areas then the country wouldn't be where it is now. Not to say the Dems are much better, pansies if you ask me, but that doesn't make it any less true.
maphitha1 6 months ago
@maphitha1
I'm not sure if I like the idea of selling the right to pollute to the highest bidder.
Why should the right to pollute be a "good"?
Why should pollution be treated as something that has some utility which is desirable?
What is desirable about pollution?
JoeKopsick4Congress 6 months ago
@JoeKopsick4Congress Selling the right to pollute isn't what Cap and Trade is. Stop lying.
maphitha1 6 months ago
@maphitha1
If it sounds like I'm lying, it's that I don't understand what Cap and Trade is. Maybe you could help explain it.
JoeKopsick4Congress 6 months ago
@JoeKopsick4Congress It's an incentive program aimed at reducing pollution, not bigging the right to pollute. The authoritative body in question sets a "cap" on the amount of pollutants allowed to be emitted and gives incentives to those who do outstanding work in reducing pollutants they produce. There isn't an incentive given to those who pay to pollute, what you said is a lie.
maphitha1 6 months ago
@maphitha1
JoeKopsick4Congress 6 months ago

mark99501 2 years ago
Here's a good way to think about our political system. There is a bell curve with conservative on the left and lib on the right. A line of our theoretical representation of views (who we elect) is drawn where that ideology is in power (based on party). The entire curve itself, however, can shift left and right depending on the times we're in (ei: post 9/11 many civil rights lovers shift to slightly more policing). I'm libertarian btw
msav111 2 years ago
The good thing about 2 parties is that each party groups those with more intervention and more civil rights against those with less intervention and less civil rights together, and allows for idealogical voting rather than voting for people. If 2 parties of the same ideology each lose a plurality, but together gain majority, ideology isn't represented although men are, but this is a country of laws not men. Also, if one party is bad, voters can easily punish it by electing the other party.

He give a lot of hope but never tell anyone how it will be achieved except that it will be hard but american are strong that's so Hitler like.
patnais102 2 years ago
You lost me as soon as you compared Hitler to MLK. A man who orchestrates mass genocide is the same as someone who fights for racial equality?
aarsho 2 years ago
Look at triumph des willin and you will understand if you have seen MLK speechs. They talk the same way they act the same way , Hitler in his speech was not yelling let's kill the jew he was talking about german people helping each other not charity but cooperation between german and that kind of crap. They were both talking the same way they were both making pathetic similarity to history (bible for MLK the 2 first reich for hitler)they both did what they said they would to technically.
patnais102 2 years ago
Hitler was promising employment to the german people and he did it , half of the unemployed went in the war factory and the other half in the german army.MLK was talking about ending segregation he technically did it but look at the state of the country today the numbers don't lie.U.S is more racist than ever but it's not in the law anymore so it's ok.
patnais102 2 years ago
So... in effect your idea is that because certain parallells can be made between the public speaking styles of MLK and Hitler that they're really the same thing? That's utterly ludicrous. Look at their intentions. Look at their actions. Not even remotely the same. Whether you acknowledge it or not, Hitler did indeed openly fan the flames of anti-semitism in speeches, whereas MLK was trying to open a dialogue on racial equality. I don't know how to spell it out more clearly for you.
aarsho 2 years ago
What you don't understand is that MLK studied propaganda at the university and to this day the Nazi machine is probably the best example ever made of propaganda, I'm saying he copied Hitler.I'm not denying the holocaust I'm saying to rise where he got Hitler did not say let kill the jew he started this policy years later but you obviously know nothing about the subject I don't even know why I answered your comment in first place.Keep thinking U.S saved the jews during the second world war lol
patnais102 2 years ago
I don't think Martin Luther king was a genius that's my point. I think the strategy he used to achieve is goal is pretty dangerous it mobilize the mass and do not let people think by their self, one thing you understand while studying history is that forced change(even with the best intention) are not a good thing.South Africa,India/Pakistan,Israel/Palestine, the russian revolution, the secession war, the french revolution they all created monstrous aberration.
patnais102 2 years ago
So, what monstrous aberration has desegregation and the push for racial equality created? Back up your thesis self-proclaimed expert.
aarsho 2 years ago
Once people abolished the segregationist law the rest of the country thought all right we did it now black people are free (just like after the secession war) making a huge movement lead to a complete emptiness after it , persecuted people still continue to fight but the majority think the problem is solved they can move to something else and that's when the worse atrocity occur, I never proclaimed my self an expert idiot.

Can we say oratory? Look up the word orator. Now go watch a televangelist, look familiar? From a guy who voted for Bill Clinton twice back in 92' and 96'. One of the things I disliked about Clinton was his "don't ask, don't tell" policy in regards to gays serving in the US Military. And the other was him signing "NAFTA" into law. A law I believe George H. W. Bush wanted to start.
paulp1021 3 years ago
A capitalist's whole goal is to have the cheapest possible labor, employ as fewer workers as possible. And make as much profit as a result of the cheap labor.
paulp1021 3 years ago
I'm sick of free traders and laissez-faire corporate shills constantly telling me "Learn economics" or that I just have to accept total free trade and corporate agreements like NAFTA as reality. I'm not supposed to question those because "that's just the way things are. You can't change it." Oh, yes, we can!
Is anyone else sick of hearing that dubious term "global market" or talk about how we have to "be competitive" with everyone else? I just wanna be competitive in my own country!!fuck
Whoo69 3 years ago
The global market has been too deregulated, and we've gone so far off the deep end, we've screwed ourselves. We can't do anything big without worrying about how it might affect the rest of the world. We can't tell corporations that they have to stay in this country. It's just accepted that they can do whatever the fuck they want and go wherever they want. Corporate leaders no longer themselves as citizens of the states but as executives of the world. This is madness!
Whoo69 3 years ago
The only good free trade agreements, if any, are those with similarly competitive nations. But of course, since the 1970s and 80s, the Japanese have been screwing us on trade, and we haven't done a damn thing to hold them accountable. Same w/ the Chinese.
We have to take these things on a case-by-case basis and not just automatically assume (like an idiot) that free trade always works and that protection never does. Protection worked throughout the first 100+ years of our history!
Whoo69 3 years ago
haha, i agree with you but I'm not sure if you've actually talked to most americans about this issue. You see, most people automatically state either democracy, capitalism, or free trade is the solution to all world problems. These 3 ideas are spewed out more than the holy trinity. They are apparently the answer to a miraculously wide range of problems, from racism to poverty to...well everything. And then there's socialism and communism: well, those are basically pure evil aka Satan for people.
mao12345 3 years ago
Ross Perot had only about 7%, the same as Ralph Nader in many states, in the polls, and HE got into the debates in 92. Nader STILL isn't being let in!! Tell those fuckers at the "Commission" on Presidential Debates to stop being hypocrites. Tell all those who are hosting other debates to let Ralph and others debate. People are sick and fucking tired of politics as usual with the 2 major parties. Voting for McCain or Obama is throwing away your vote. Neither will get things done.
Whoo69 3 years ago
Ross Perot knew his stuff, and he was as right then as he is now on NAFTA. Clinton and Bush Sr. can suck it. "Free" trade agreements AREN'T free; they're disruptive to our economy. You can't possibly expect to make a free trade agreement with a nation with much lower costs of production and wages and expect to come out on top when you're a wealthy nation with expensive production costs and high standard of living! We'll end up buying a lot more of THEIR cheap imports. Common sense
Whoo69 3 years ago
Any economist who claims the "giant sucking sound" never came is a fucking liar. Of course there's been a giant sucking sound! We've lost millions of good manufacturing jobs all across the country. Ohio has lost over 200,000 alone! Michigan has lost even more.
We cannot allow corporations and this "global economy" invisible hand to run our lives in such a manner! We must be the masters of our destiny, not the servants. It's time to reign in corporate power, esp. overseas.
Whoo69 3 years ago
You tell 1,000s of manufacturing workers in in small towns that depend on these plants heavily that "it doesn't matter" if we outsource. It doesn't matter if we lay off thousands of workers in small towns, a huge percentage of the adult working population in those areas.
Outsourcing and service economy have also ruined our moral fiber. We've become so arrogant that we no longer think we have to be producers. We can just be affluent and make all the other poor nations do it for us.
Whoo69 3 years ago
It's essentially glorified slave labor. They get paid ridiculously-low wages just to satisfy our enormous appetites for products and services. To satisfy OUR materialism. Meanwhile, they themselves can hardly afford ANY of this stuff they have to build.

Corporate leaders are essentially giving these workers a big "fuck you! haha!" to them.

Again, since everybody in america believes that the united states invented the whole idea of freedom and democracy, and since america has had a long history of politics dominated by 2 parties...yeah, having a 3rd major party would be like...unAmerican and undemocratic...aka pure evil!
