(Mainly because the first I heard JYB was on Bleach, and that he's doing THE EXACT SAME VOICE FOR ZERO, SAME GRUNTS AND EVERYTHING... seriously, go play a Bleach game, go into the voice clips, listen to Ichigo's grunts and compare them to Zero's....exactly...the....sam­e......)

Yes and no; I've found that Zero has matured gradually as the series progressed. He is mostly level-headed, but I've found that Zero has his cocky moments; the best example that comes to mind is in Megaman Zero 1 when he first defeats Copy X; the most level-headed cocky quote he made was this: "Too weak. Was the Original X this weak? My mind may have forgotten, but my body seems to remember, that the Original X was mightier than you!"

So I think JYB did quite well for his voice.

For sure, dude. Most people prefer to use the original Japanese voices; but I usually keep it English simply because it's a little more difficult to understand their sentence patterns, and I can't exactly keep track of their verbal motor skills, in a sense. That's what Johnny Bosch probably does for Zero the best, and the voice fits him well due to that.
