  • Well written because you weren't a boring educated writer and just wrote in your own way. Made it heaps more interesting mate. Good read. Keep being yourself. Thanks. How many years would it take an average Joe with average fitness to be fit enough for a selection course?

  • I downloaded his books off itunes but i cant damn read it because I lost my ipod.

  • Keith read both your books mate and i enjoyed your honesty and genuine way of communicating. Your a twice the digger now you put your family first mate. Good on ya. Must be hard for SASR wives. I take my hat off to them. I would attempt selection but for the same reason. Cheers mate.

  • rob maylor is a good read too.an aussie. sas sniper. 18 yrs of building into an sas soldier. awesome

  • @2hotdownunder yeah, read that! great book

  • love the warrior brothers book, great read

  • probly a good fighter when it counts

  • it; s sfeedback sori

  • thx alot !

  • Well said Digger (Salute)

  • By far the best 2 books I have ever read, if your thinking of joining the SAS (or any ADF role for that matter) I would strongly advise you read these books over and over. Keith, you inspire me to do what I never would have thought possible.

    cheers mate

  • jus finished reading warrior training now im looking for warrior brothers im only sixteen mate but you inspired me to train harder so i can get ready for the nz army cheers mate god bless!!!

  • @DirectorateS , mate training cycle is 18months all up . But 20 days doesnt make SASR the best mate . 22SAS record is far and above ours mate . They wrote the book on CT thats why 3RAR have been shunted and SASR use Holsworthy on a fulltime basis . But were good mate real good as are the DELTAS , 1NZ also .

  • @raybani1

if i recall the original british sas formed in 1941 was based on the new zealand long range desert group then it disbanded in 1945 in 1947 the british sas renewsembled still using the lldg as a base but used key elements from the aussie z special unit so the british sas is really just a hybrid of australian and new zealand special forces

  • Keith Fennell is currently in the process of writing his first fictional thriller entitled "Cold Soul"

  • This book was an awesome read, makes you very proud and generally amazed at the level of training and fitness held by Australian SAS members. Keith Fennell and all of the SAS and serving ADF members are heroes and loved by Australia.

  • Been wanting these for a while now - I'm in the UK but am ordering them on Amazon as soon as I can afford them this weekend! (I'm 15 and need to buy them when I get my 'pocket money')

  • Yea mate you probably should read warrior training first. My brother gave me warrior brothers and I didn't relise there was another book. He is doing his first tour in afgan now. He is in the same group as the young man that was killed recently. Its a bit of a worry but the boys have been trained to the highest standard. Im looking forward to seeing him when he gets home.

  • I just read warrior training and it was verry inspiring. Im not a big reader but with this book I could not put down. I read it in two days. It is a must read.

  • @86ashreilly Do you need to read his first book warrior brothers before warrior training?

  • Does anyone know where can I order a copy of these books?? Cheers.

  • @Aboustadia Are you in Australia? Try borders.com.au

  • @Mongatron00 Beauty, cheers mate found it straight away!!

  • mind blowing, i read warrior training first, and half way through warrior brothers, i would love to meet this man and have a chat,an inspiring individual.

  • once again all i have to say best 2 books ive ever read changed mylife got both read both in 2 weeks put them down stood up and drove myself to the nearest recruitment centre and signed up to the australian army!!! ur a bloody legend mate!!

  • @Skzo7 I have to admit i dod the exact same thing. I read both of these books in 3 weeks and since finishing have re activated my recruitment process. !

    total legend

  • @greenjustin123 hahaha i've also read keith's book and am now waiting on my fitness test to be enlisted :/ :)

  • hey keith i like to thank you for your book man im doing so good now im going in to the army whit hight hopes to do my beast man thanks.

  • Hey Keith! Thanks for the books. So good I just had to keep reading. Thanks.

  • he said 3 weeks not 3 months and its the same selection course as the british

  • @CombatSambo83

Just the way he acts, especially in shows like SAS: Are you tough enough. It all seems so put on, he's trying to act all hard and like a big man. Sure he might actually be like that, who knows.

  • Just 3 months for selection? The Britis SAS selection takes 6months!!

  • @DirectorateS But the australian selection is at least TWICE as hardcore =D =D

  • @DirectorateS Australian SAS selection takes 3 weeks, followed by a reinforcement cycle lasting about 6-9 months.

  • @MrEasyrider100

do you know what happens within the reinforcement cycle

  • @DirectorateS

    3 weeks*

And the British selection is longer because they put their reinforcement training into their selection. whereas the Australian SAS has selection and then those accepted do their training.

  • Just 3 months for selection? The Britis SAS selection takes 6months!!

  • mate, just got off the phone to ya and wanted to say how proud i am to be able to call you a mate. hope to see you sometime soon.

  • @auspyder

are you a good mate of keiths

  • mate just finished the book, and much like your first book I couldnt put the bastard down! Good work buddy love it!

  • i just finished reading the book, it blew my mind, how can a man prepere him self for something like that, incredible.

  • I like reading these books, but I'm not sure if the members of SASR are too happy with the book out. Ex-Canadian JTF2 members are not allowed to write books.

  • Everything written has to be approved but one can only speculate as to how former and current SAS members view Keith on gaining this publicity.

I've always wanted to know what they would think of someone like Eddy Stone, former British SAS. Seems like a bit of a dick head to me.

  • I don't think eddy stone is well liked, probably not invited back to the SAS reunions. Same with Andy McNab.

  • i have just finshed reading WARRIOR TRAINING, WARRIOR BROTHERS and i love both of them

  • Change of plan for tomorrow - detour past the bookshop on the way to work. I loved Warrior Brothers and look forward to reading this one.

  • Read both books and was blown away at how disciplined these SASR boys are. Top read and i highly recommend it to anyone

  • Thanks Keith, just finished Warrior Training. Great insipration to up the ante in my own training, though 400 + 400 in 45 is just insane. Looking foward to reading some fiction from you.

  • Thoroughly enjoyed Warrior Brothers and keen to get stuck into the next installment Warrior Training, keep up the great work Keith

  • heyy guys, randomhouse. does anyone know keith fennels email address? thanks

  • Great book Keith halfway through and i'm rapped , am joining up very soon off to drive ASLAVS. Really good to find such a good source of info and inspiration... A physical training manual would be awesome as well.. once again great work
