To be honest, this won't kill WoW, nothing will lets face it, too many players like the easy way, not only that, the graphics of the game, are just simply shocking lol, the fluidity of the abilities look frankly unco-ordinated and badly done, not only that, it's not true star wars, as he said, is it similar, but at the same time, just plain different.
I hate hate hate the way it switches to cimematics...dumb idea. It actually distracts from the suspension of disbelief, as in real life we dont suddenly step out of our bodies and see the world in 3rd person. I hope they make the cinematics optional...but i doubt they will :( Is this a game or a freakin movie (a bad movie) Also, this looks very much like an instanced world...mmos are open world, or not mmos.

It has been confirmed by EA and Bioware that this game will not release until at LEAST after March 31st, 2011. It has also been confirmed that the game WILL release in 2011.
Personally, although I would be unhappy if they released it late, I would rather it be Dec 31st, 2011 than any earlier and not be as polished or high quality. This MMO should delay as long as it needs to in order to achieve the success it deserves.

The pve seems cool, with a few more vis tweaks it'l be all good... Atm GW has established a unique item reward system for titles earnt in GW which will be attained in GW2, this also enables your current charactors "name" to be carried through to GW2 as "decendant" 250yrs after. @MrMaryJanes Star Wars is aimed primarily at young teens. Hence the art style. Mass Effect is aimed at a more mature audience. The reason the graphics look poor is because 1. this game is not even beta yet and 2. it is an mmo and so has to attract as many people as possible meaning having high system demands won't help.

Wow...fully voice over, and choices...in an MMO, that's amazing. In fact that's one of the reasons I usually dislike MMOs, lack of voice over, story and so on! This game really looks good now :D
I can't wait until this is released. This will make WoW, EVE etc obsolete, so long as it doesn't cost more to play per month. I'm sure the graphics are in the early stage and will be worked on. The speech wheel however is a complete rip off from Mass Effect!

The game is an MMO, there isn't a supercomputer on the planet that would be able to handle the millions of people playing along with the high-tech graphics of games like ME2.

How's this game gonna be socially? I haven't seen any sort of social playing in the videos, just running around with your bot friends. This worries me. In my opinion the only thing that made SWG the game that it was how it was socially dependent for alot of the game. You want more power? go get buffs at the cantina. Or some buffs at the Starport. Cantinas, I miss those too. I used to sit in the cantina for hours and just talk to people that really made the game for me.

Wow only succeeded because it appealed to so many people, and is well developed socially. You can start playing wow and have about 2-4 friends before the night is out.. I hate Wow, but that is why that game is so good. Also the simplicity was really great, it appealed to alot of people, and it had a very easy learning curve. But the story has gone hollywood, and the game is just becoming stupid. Hopefully they dont do Diablo and Starcraft in the same way :(

They know what they're doing - It's a company; they're taking it in a stylized graphical style path so more people can play it with different PC's and to avoid a mature ERSB rating.
Actually, lowered graphic quality is so you can have, for example, more people in one place without fps issues. But the gameplay looks shit to me tbh, not the graphics.

@MrMaryJanes Star Wars is aimed primarily at young teens. Hence the art style. Mass Effect is aimed at a more mature audience. The reason the graphics look poor is because 1. this game is not even beta yet and 2. it is an mmo and so has to attract as many people as possible meaning having high system demands won't help.

Wow...fully voice over, and choices...in an MMO, that's amazing. In fact that's one of the reasons I usually dislike MMOs, lack of voice over, story and so on! This game really looks good now :D

I can't wait until this is released. This will make WoW, EVE etc obsolete, so long as it doesn't cost more to play per month. I'm sure the graphics are in the early stage and will be worked on. The speech wheel however is a complete rip off from Mass Effect!

The game is an MMO, there isn't a supercomputer on the planet that would be able to handle the millions of people playing along with the high-tech graphics of games like ME2.
There is a reason that the games with the best graphics are singleplayer.

How's this game gonna be socially? I haven't seen any sort of social playing in the videos, just running around with your bot friends. This worries me. In my opinion the only thing that made SWG the game that it was how it was socially dependent for alot of the game. You want more power? go get buffs at the cantina. Or some buffs at the Starport. Cantinas, I miss those too. I used to sit in the cantina for hours and just talk to people that really made the game for me.

Wow only succeeded because it appealed to so many people, and is well developed socially. You can start playing wow and have about 2-4 friends before the night is out.. I hate Wow, but that is why that game is so good. Also the simplicity was really great, it appealed to alot of people, and it had a very easy learning curve. But the story has gone hollywood, and the game is just becoming stupid. Hopefully they dont do Diablo and Starcraft in the same way :(

i dont like the sound "heroic from the beginning". this echoes the path that SWG took after NGE to make everyone a jedi from the get-go because everyone just wanted to replay the movie, and that was just a disaster... people should have to work to become REAL heroes in this game

They know what they're doing - It's a company; they're taking it in a stylized graphical style path so more people can play it with different PC's and to avoid a mature ERSB rating.

Actually, lowered graphic quality is so you can have, for example, more people in one place without fps issues. But the gameplay looks shit to me tbh, not the graphics.
