@Steggman it's turn based, based on "the dark eye". It's way more tactical than DA:O. And way slower paced. Personally I prefer it to DA:O - I think there's a demo version of Drakensang 1

Fuckin' publishers always use *crappy American accents to ruin total immersion in yet another great game! The least that they could've done is try and do an British or even a European accent! *(Though the acting level is moot due to the accents!)

*CDProjecktRed and Piranha Bytes had the right Idea, English accents are MUCH more believable...Seeing how the modern American accent is only 100 yrs old!

*Though Geralt and Triss had crappy American accents, at least we had a choice!

Dragon age 2 is NOT as good as Origins (i trust u know this game) nor is it perfect and has many flaws HOWEVER one can still very much enjoy the game and it is NOT the worst game EVER like many people say, moron.

I bought DA2 the day it came out for pc. Its not the worst thing ever, but its such a step backwards from Origin that calling it a bad game isn't a stretch. Its a sequel so you have to compare it to the first game, and compared to origins its terrible. Think about this, would dragon age have been as successful if they release DA2 as the first one? Of course not. It would have been a decent but forgettable high budget RPG.

this game is fucking awful. I have it on fucking EASY and im dying over and over. There is ZERO fucking guidance as to where to go next, what to do , which quests are too hard. I only have a few options and it's fucking lame. There arent even that many quests. I don't see where to train new combat abilities, I don't see any good weapons to get so far. Just been getting my fucking cunt ass kicked. Thinking of quitting.

@Rushthatspeaks That would be because you're playing it wrong. If you're rushing in and playing it like Dragon Age or even Baldur's Gate, then you're going to have your ass kicked. It's not about gear, it's not about anything like that.

If anything, get yourself the original Drakensang with the manual and read it, and take the game one step at a time. It's not forgiving and makes no bones about it.

@lucasmoitinho What I play and how has no bearing on Drakensang's base gameplay. It's not a run-in-and-stab game, you have to take your time and manage everything. I'm currently playing this very game on Easy myself, and I've yet to die in combat. Does it mean I'm good? No, but I know the basic rule of Drakensang's combat - One. Step. At. A. Time.

This game any good? To be honest I never could get into The Dark Eye but I love Neverwinter Nights and Baldur's Gate... Looks like it's been improved in a few ways that really get me interested.

@AbaraiRenji00 Yes you do. Its based on a pen and paper rulebook just like baldurs gate and neverwinter nights. Where those two are based on D&D this one is based on "the dark eye" rulebook.
