  • Can anyone tell me if there is a song similar to the intro to this between 0:30 and 0:50

  • @Reusablebutton

I have the same problem XD every time i hear this it reminds me of something... but i can´t put them in another song...

  • @14chocoholic I'm pretty sure it's just Rasputin's theme song. You can hear it in the instrumentals at the end of the song as well.

  • @Reusablebutton There are some simulations to the Death Eater related Theme music. A little bit at least... Could that be it?

  • I did this song in a play based on Anastasia. Awkward part, one of my best friends played Anya.

  • I remember this part freaked me out so bad I never finished the movie untill afew years later when I was 14.

  • This is the best villian song ever.

  • >Cum my minions, rise for your master.

  • i always liked the villians songs the best.

  • i like how they put this song together,..it makes being wrathful fun :)

  • I like to think of the imagery of this very differently from the actual scene in the movie.

    Bugs? Really?

  • @Supermario678,

Picture skeletons, demons and hellfire instead. Bugs are very underwhelming.

  • @Supermario678 @MrWatson193 shush, those bugs scared me when i was little.

  • christopher lloyd is the man!

  • @BlainePistolle Jim Cummings actually sang this song even though Christopher Lloyd is Rasputin. He did a hell of a job though!

  • "one little girl got away" What, her Grandma doesn't count?

  • @saberman610 her grandma wasn't part of the direct romanov blood line so to rasputin she didn't :)

  • One thing I think is funny, is that this song is incredibly sinister, yet really upbeat and celebratory.

  • I love the dark voice *-* Oao :D

  • i should really be doing my homework...

  • @FooEmpress i thought they used pyrotechnics and laser lights

  • @Nightshaderose505 They obviously used magic *Snort snort*

  • Go Bug that says Find her and Doom her.....but one question.....how does evil shine?

  • @Nightshaderose505 Good question . . . I guess evil is just extremely greasy?

  • I love Jim Cummings! :D

Also to put it out there, Anastasia wasn't Disney

  • true that the real story isn't what Disney portrays. except for the fact that Rasputin is one of the hardest people to kill. his death in the beginning of the movie is what actually killed him in real life, it wasn't the poison he ate like a boss, the gun shot wounds he took like a boss, the bone breaking beating he received like a boss. but he drown'd in like knee deep water. but i like how after being dead for 10 years hes still like, I'm gonna kill that bitch D:<

  • @PFCelis2 Amen.

  • He is my favourite Disney badguy, just becouse he is so slumsy and funny..

  • @Debbie321lopez

This is not a Disney film. It was produced by Don Bluth for Fox Studios.

  • @RickLowerboy84 Wait, This is not Disney??

    My childhood is ruïned!!!

  • @Debbie321lopez nope. Fox. XD

    It's OK; it's very disney like. c:

  • @DictatorTan Now I'm thinking off fox news and Bill o' Riley. Imagine, him in the speaking roll of Rasputin..

  • @Debbie321lopez

Fox released Anastasia in 1997...it's major animation competitor was Disney's Hercules.

If it helps, Don Bluth got his start with Disney Animation before he left to form his own company. He then gave us An American Tail, The Secret of NIMH, The Land Before Time, and All Dogs Go To Heaven. :)

  • I just realized that Rasputin is the same voice as Pumba..... :O

  • @Katherine7495 no its not lol Rasputin was played by Christopher Lloyd (singing voice was Jim Cummings)

  • @ughuarf Christopher Lloyd didn't sing this?? NOOOOOO

  • @ruckelz74 hate to break it to ya lol

  • @claudefrollono1 This was actually not a Disney film. It was made by 20th Century Fox. Btw, your username is awesome.

  • A decadent, psychopath, soulless Slavic sorcerer... I never saw Disney coming up with a villain THAT sick ! >:-D

But then again, I'm a Serb, so it might just be my bias...

  • This song really should have ended with a crazy evil laugh. It would have been perfect then.

  • There is an error though: in russian "Anya" is the diminutive for "Anna", the diminutive for "Anastasia" is "Nastya".

  • @LightPillarVIII It might be referring to how she was called Anya when she was in the orphanage.

  • @LightPillarVIII Nastya is a nickname for Anastasia just like Anya

  • I like this song, but I agree with Nostalgia Critic, the singing bugs kind of make it less menacing. I think they should have used shadow creatures of something. Can you imagine if the visuals were done more like what Disney did for Friends on the Other Side?

  • This is the sort of movies I'll be showing my kids, none of that shit that disney spits out now with nothing scarier then a bunny :L

  • I LOVE that little BAT!!!!!!

  • DOOM HER!!!

  • One of the best Villain Song's

  • In the dark of the night ya just need to get really crazy with the hips sir.lollolol

  • 2:50

  • I love this film I not seen this for years

  • This song makes me feel strangely powerful and happily furious.

  • @ololololololololoism If Thats So, Then I Wounder What Happends When You Listen To Hellfire

  • This is what I sing in the shower when thinking of ex-girlfriend.

  • @WalterSickert96 That's more than slightly creepy. But acceptable

  • @WalterSickert96 lmfao !

  • @WalterSickert96 that comment is the funniest thing I've seen on Youtube in a LONG time

  • @Penguin13Lover: Christopher Lloyd was his speaking voice, but Jim Cummings was his singing voice.

  • I bet the real Rasputin is turning in his grave right now XD

  • @ALBINOCHEIFTAIN ...Now you have. XD

  • I love how the Japanese voice actor for this song is the same (or at least sounds the same) as the one who sings Be Prepared in The Lion King and in the English version it's Jim Cummings who sings this as well as the second half of Be Prepared in The Lion King (starting with the lion "You won't get a sniff without me". Jeremy Irons sings all of it up til then but his voice gave out apparently)

  • It needs a metal version! :Q___

  • The funny part is she wasn't really the countess.. -damn you World History for teaching me that-

  • 1:50-end makes this song to one of the best from all acrtoons <D

  • i remember this song scared the hell out of me as a kid

  • @DevilOnHog it scared me too! but i just could stop listening to it.

  • DAMN CHILDHOOD MOVIES,YOU SCARY!

  • Salazar Slytherin?

  • DAMN DISNEY, U SCARY!

  • @ashcrown09 Looks alot like Disney, but it's not. It's actually 20th Century Fox.

  • @ashcrown09 This isn't a disney movie.

  • "I can feel that my powers slowly returning" is one of my all time favourite sentences.

  • Christopher Lloyd = Rasputin

    Mind. Blown.

  • @hypothesis10

Too bad he didn't do the singing, that would have been awesome. But like said, Jim Cummings does a remarkable good imitation of Lloyd.

  • Rasputin in "Anastasia" is a very, very boring villain. However, he makes it up with this epic song, which I think - in all its cheesiness - is one of the most recognizable ones besides the "classic" Disney villain themes. A real anthem, I'd say. Thank you, Jim Cummings, you are the best.

  • @Verihevi Anastasia was not by Disney, but was by Don Bluth.

  • @GeorgeLRockwell87

Thank you, I do know that. "BESIDES Disney" does not indicate the film would be Disney, simply that it's (another) competitor for Disney. It is true many people confuse this film to be Disney's, and I have to wonder why. It's nothing remotely Disney in my opinion.

  • as shown on /v/!

    my bros!

  • Comment removed

  • @supervillain Way too true, may friend.

  • wow! just hearing this song is incredible! watching it on movie was disappointing...to say the least

  • the most awesome "im going to get you" song EVER

  • @Clayria the leggend about his death is fake in reality no trace of poison founded in his body he died simply of gunshot wounds no harder to kill than any other man but u are right this is just a movie afterall...

  • Rasputin was a holy man why they make him evil.

  • @Ioannhsmiro Maybe because - in real - Rasputin was quite freak... Like his murder thing, it just isn't normal. And movie need the evil guy. =)

  • it's AWESOME in english!

  • imagine pete singing this.

  • lol i didn't know evil was shiny XD

  • Flash mob?

  • pure awesomeness!!!!

  • Hmm... no. No Once Upon a December, no Hakuna Matata, no Heaven's Light. Tonight is In the Dark of the Night, tonight is Be Prepared, tonight is Hellfire. Going to be a fun night...

  • The devil plays the best tunes...

  • umm so yeah the voice of Rasputin is Christopher Lloyd.. the person who plays Doc in Back to the Future

  • @Penguin13Lover No, it was Jim Cummings >.>

  • @iamabigfatbutt

He did the singing voice. Lloyd did the speaking voice.

  • "Come my minions, rise for your master/ let your evil shine!"

    Light is not Good indeed.

  • @godzillaprime Agreed. The protagonists are usually too perfect to be interesting. Plus, the bad guys are geniuses, most of the time. Warped, but still geniuses. And besides, cookies will always win it for me.

  • good visit my channel

  • So Jim Cummings is amazing, he's in so many movies.

  • Where did you get the song?

  • 2:41 That voice :'D

  • when you hear this... do you think of dancing pink bugs?? just wondering...

  • @Haley24x7 I DO!

  • Shame they couldn't get the real Rsputin to sing, sadly he was busy being dead.

  • @OperationAnime262

Rasputin isn't actually dead. Still trying to punch his way out of the coffin.

  • @TehS3ANaSAURUS They had to bury in a reinforced steel coffin.

  • @TehS3ANaSAURUS considering he was stabbed, poisoned, shot and then thrown in the river I wouldn't doubt it.

  • @TehS3ANaSAURUS He was out of his coffin long ago, as soon as nobody was looking they dug him up and burnt him.. Supposedly he sat up in the fire though...

  • Th-this guy sounds like Team Four Star's Vegeta.

I CANNOT UNHEAR IT. AND IT IS AWESOME.

  • @AnomalyINC

In the dark of the Night, Nappa won't shut the hell up!

  • There's a dead forest covered in a thick mist. Risen above this is a ruined, crumbling tower. One of the remaining rooms is a shattered ballroom. There are spirits, skeletal and ethereal, forming a circle around a glowing rune in the centre while dancing and chanting. Bones appear on the rune and reanimate, slowly regenerating while singing. Once he's finished singing he is fully regenerated and the spirits begin to sing too.

  • @Purpleisawesome93 That sounds so much more awesome than the actual scene. We get prancing. pink. Bugs. Still an amazing song though. :)

  • @DreamToriDream I agree the song is amazing but is let down by the shitty visuals.

  • Thumbs up you you still think that Disney made this movie.

  • LOL. Awesome. :)

  • He sounds like Scar from Lion King...

  • @Sarita1293 same singer dude

  • @Sarita1293 Thats cause its the same voice actor, Jim Cummings! :)

  • Jim Cummings is awesome

  • @Mann0802

I knew this sounded like Darkwing Duck and Cat xD

  • Notice how people like the villain songs more than the songs the protagonists sing. Let's face it--evil music is immensely more epic.

  • @gwriterk and immensely more hammy

  • @gwriterk I agree I believe there could be theories behind that i.e studies show that if you imagine doing a good deed you can lift more weights but if you imagine an evil act you can lift more still for some reason there is something about evil!

  • @scottishguy100 Well, I personally think that evil offers a certain power to it, one that seems as if it is stronger than that of good, which is probably why people choose it, even though we are taught that evil deeds are wrong.

  • @gwriterk More point to them I guess. They always have some vendetta agains the good guys so they have something to sing about. The good guys just sing about.... trees and shit. Plus, the dark side has cookies.

  • @gwriterk

Maybe its because the villains know how to rock, the good guys songs are more like shity pop :P

  • @gwriterk Not just that. They tend to have a much more operatic epic sound to them :D

  • @gwriterk indeed

  • @gwriterk I've never seen a comment more liked.

  • COME MY MINIONS RISE FOR YOUR MASTER, LET YOUR EVIL SHINE, FIND HER NOW, YES FLY EVER FASTER............ SHE'LL BE MINE!

  • In the Dark of the Night

They call me Mr. Rasputin! XD

  • I prefer to listen to the song instead of watch it in the movie because I can imagine enslaved souls of the damned, skeletons with little bits of meat left, decaying corpses missing eyes, demons with the blackest eyes of darkness, silhouetted hairy things on all fours scampering around the ground and the walls, and ghastly wraiths grinning with pointed teeth and blood-red eyes singing with Rasputin instead of little bugs.

  • Christopher Llyod didn't sing this song. Its actually Jim Cummings. Like if you knew that!

  • @decepticonmaster1

Yes, but he did a very good job, so good that most of us might have never noticed.

  • I love that if you listen carefully, even though it's Christopher Lloyd playing Rasputin the voice actor doing this singing is the same guy who played Cat in Cat/Dog, and also did the singing for Scar in Lion King. :-)

  • Awesome song. Shit visuals.

  • I wanna hear a death metal version of this. anyone else?

  • @ParkinsandLynch Fuck no.

  • @ParkinsandLynch I don't even like death metal and that sounds like an awesome idea.

  • @ParkinsandLynch i'll be honest with you, my good friend, that would be one of the most badass remixes ever. i can imagine disturbed doing a great job with it.

  • @kcdkndf

:D that would fricken amazing! I never thought of a disturbed version, but with Draimen's badass vocals that would just be to awesome!

  • I would love to hear this in Russian

  • I actually like the song, but the visuals in the movie couldn't quite back it up.

  • oh god....

just the way he says awake, total eargasm!

  • Oh Rasputin...you sexy mother fucker.

  • I love this song >:D

  • 62 people are afraid of the dark

  • Every villian needs a badass song

  • You guys the voice actor for Rasputin is Doc from to the Future! WHAT?

  • @tdkfangirl & dont forget he was also the Judge Doom from the Roger Rabbit movie ;D

& yeah he was singing but only the begin of the song then is another guy singing

  • I love this song it's so epic.

  • looove this song))) I watched it in almost all languages- so funny to hear how all of them pronounce russian "do svidanya"))))

  • The song itself is kinda epic ... Too bad we get prancing, pink bugs in the film :)

  • REVENGE WILL BE SWEET WHEN THE CURSE IS COMPLETE.

I tell these to my enemies that have wronged me.

  • You know when I was little, this song used to creep me out, but if you realize it Rasputin was kind of a comedy relief in some scenes. xD

  • Jim Cummings, I love you~.

I can't help but see Fat Cat from Rescue Rangers singing this though. xD

  • Gotta say, this song deserves an award. Cause it is DAMN good.

  • Why am I seeing shadows coming out of the forest?

Why are they singing this song?

    Why are my pants wet?

  • Rasputin's voice is amazing.

  • @SuperDubietyStrike And to think, HE WAS FROZEN, TODAY!

  • omg this song used to scare the crap out of me when I was younger

  • @tink1470 are you kidding me? the entire movie used the scare the crap out of me when i was younger XD (especially the scene when rasputin possessed anna on the boat, and almost made her jump to the sea and kill herself)

  • Rasputin the original bad-ass and as most of you like to say the original BOSS

  • is there a disney movie that doesnt have Jim Cummings? Seriously he's is like in every movie

  • @92bagder This isn't a Disney movie, but JC is in a lot of Disney movies.

  • A CORPSE FALLING TO BITS
