The scientists can't seem to determine how this Shroud has been created if in fact it is not what it purports to be. In the Beginning there was no Bible just books that early christian sets or groups read and was apart of their beliefs. Did U know one of the earliest Christians sects believed the God of this world was Evil, and they were Called the "Gnostics' .  That was just one group of christians , others disagreed.

@SwaggerLikeUz There were numerous books about Jesus, who according to you did not exist. The church decided what books and letters would make up the bible. Few people could read and since the printing press was not invented each book had to be laboriously copied by hand.

@Flagrum3 As for the church deciding what to discard or keep years ago...There was a purpose! They choice scriptures/gospels that they felt were written by either first hand witnesses or direct 2nd hand followers.Most of the 'Kept" gospels were written within 2 generations of Christ's death.Which is one stipulation/method still used today by Historians.Also there were not multiple shrouds circulating back then most were artist depictions of the true Shroud we see here but 'painted' versions.
