@shinyguts you don't even speak english - so why are you trolling your third world shite on an REM clip? you must be very bored and very desperate. can't you find a third world song from your own culture to troll?
I heard this one time almost 20 years ago and have been looking for it ever since. I started to think it was in my imagination that rem had anything to do with this song and then wet, wet, wet, did it and it wasn't as good and just drove me crazier that I couldn't find this song.
@Nigelxman - Alright, well next time you're on 'Unplugged', you can (IF you can), take that opportunity to tell/show Pete and Mike how to play their instruments.
@rem2267 Dude what did you NOT understand about my last post? lol Peter Buck is the one who said that he hopes to someday learn how to play the mandolin, implying that he was still very new to it. You seriously need to lighten up and perhaps get your head out of Peter Bucks ass. :-)
@Nigelxman So... in time... in tune... simple part, but well played... doesn't sound to bad to me. just saying. What do you want? Mandolin riffs on something like this? Don't think so.
@jonesy886 It was written bye Reg Pressley. The rest of The Troggs never had a lot to do with it.I like Reg he is into UFO and crop circles. He has spent a lot of cash to on his research.Being a old hippy and every thing. But this song will be his real legacy.
Awesome.

I think the 'bah bah bah...' might have been inspired by another great Troggs song: "With A Girl Like You"

If Michael Stipe sang Bah bah bah ba ba ba without music it would still sound fantastic.

THIS is what MTV used to be.
Actual musicians, performing songs they wrote, playing real instruments.
MTV used to bring all kinds of music to a broader audience: Headbanger's Ball, 120 Minutes, Yo! MTV Raps, etc.
Unplugged was genius.
I am sad that MTV lost its way. It brought unknown artists to our attention, and we loved it.
Wasn't around for Elvis, but I will always, always remember this new tv channel that opened my ears, mind, and heart to that incredible era of music.

@DeineMudda313313 Definitely! REM's version is MUCH better, should have been released as a single. I would DEFINITELY have bought it!! :)

When I hear him sing I always wonder why Mike Mills wasn't more involved in side projects (not counting The Hindu Love Gods. Warren did the singing)

themooddisorders 1 year ago
1) Love to see Peter play the mandolin.
2) Mike looks like he's gonna eat his microphone. I like his vocals.
3) I would imagine that Bill's arms are tired, from all that shaking ('whole lotta shakin' goin' on!')
4) Michael will soon turn into a sheep. Baah bah bah bah baaaaah indeed!
REM = best band ever

@rem2267 Someday he's going to learn how to actually play it . :-)

@rem2267 I was actually just repeating what Peter Buck once said about his mandolin playing. You are correct though..he's better than me. lol
