Also efforts should be made for man to man and cultural relationships.We can contribute each other in the education sector also.Free movement of students should be allowed on both sides.More cultural ties,sports events,exchange of knowledge,building colleges & universities and offering courses the official languages of both countries on each end and creating jobs for other will make a path for both to come more closer.
I think the relation can be much better.I have heard from my elders lot of stories about Indo-Russian friendship but truely speaking that at ground level now a days the relations are not as it were at those times.I respect my Russian friends from depth of my heart as they have stand by us in every up and downs.
The relationship could have been better if it was not for the elitist demeanor of the Russians. Most Indians know about Russia India relations but the same cannot be said about the Russian populace. The relation is purely strategic, there are no cultural and people to people ties. This is very bad.
